Summary: Unending addiction!
Review: This game was easy to play, out of the box. The scenarios (single player) are challenging while teaching the basics and some of the strategy of the game. With 30 scenarios in three campaigns and a compelling story, this will keep your interest for hours. There are more scenarios available on the web, so it's not over when you finish with what came in the box! There is also a great scenario editor so you can come up with your own scenarios. I've bought Brood War, the expansion set for StarCraft, which is every bit as good as the original. I highly recommend this game.

Summary: Starmazing!
Review: This game is incredible. From the graphics to the witty missions, this is the ultimate game. Blizzard has totally outdone themselves on this one. Absolutely amazingly done. As the game progresses, so do the difficulty of the missions. An excellent example in teaching the "how to's" of making decisions, creating a liveable atmosphere for your people, and outlooking on other ways of life. I definetely reccomend it.

Summary: Warcraft "War-med" over
Review: I must be either totally insane, or I played a different game than (apparently) everyone else in the universe. I found this game tedious, boring, and frustrating.

While it's true that the game has spectacular sound and graphics, the engine is that same old Blizzard engine that hasn't been improved since it came out. Warcraft veterans should notice the similarities in missions, which are either the "build up and sack the enemy" or "patrol an area with no reinforcements" type. It may look different, but this game is just Warcraft II with new graphics.

I found it frustrating because of the lack of control you have. Being limited to controlling only 12 units at a time is a pain, especially for a game that lends itself to "tank rush" strategies like this one. Command and Conquer does it better, allowing you to control everything you have at one time.

The research tree is is detailed enough to border on laborious. Upgrading your buildings on EVERY, SINGLE MISSION gets really old, really fast.

All in all, it's a nice looking game, but I'd just about rather pour vinegar in my eyes than play another Warcraft spin off ever again.

Summary: Ha Ha Ha This is so cool Ha Ha Ha
Review: This is the ultamate game of the year, It was said on a chinese channel that this is the best game of the millenium.(im chinese) First when you get it ,you may think "right, this sounds pretty cool"(notice that I said "Pretty")

Then, when you start the game play you are captured (addicted) as if it hypnotises you saying "play me" and you end up playing for 2-3 hours in a row only stopping for a bathroom break(or lunch, dinner, etc.) Basically the game tells you to do things that would help the species you are playing "cerebrate" as in Protoss, Zerg, or Terran. It can also help inprove your "sense of strategy" And I would like to say that Not only boys like it, but girls do too!

Summary: Great RTS game
Review: This game is sort of a spinoff of Age of Empires, but has expanded on it. Actually, AOE2 has many of the capabilities that AOE didn't, but StarCraft developed. It has 3 races, but also the tech trees are different, and you need different buildings, etc...

There are 30 missions, with a great plot through them. After you finish them, you can create your own with the campaign editor. It is very extensive, letting you add sounds, briefings, and triggered events. That all allows you to create very realistic scenarios, rather than just plopping units on a map.

If you think that sounds like fun, wait until you get online at Battle.Net. You can play against up to 7 other people or computers, in many forms of combat, such as allied or free-for-all. Even if you play the same map over and over, it never grows boring if you play with other people. Also, you can share the maps you make with others when you host games, and the other players download it to play the game.

This game is definetly worth playing, and it is one of the best RTS games on the market.

Summary: Worth your time and money
Review: I must admit the single player missions turned me off in the beginning, so, even before finishing the first set of campaignes, I turned to battle.net. Let me just say that, for about 48 hours, I was on battle.net, non stop, and my mother pryed me away from the comp to eat.

Summary: Still playing it after all these months
Review: StarCraft is a true Blizzard game. From a company known to produce an excellent product, they didn't let the consumer down despite delaying the product repeatedly.

StarCraft has three separate races that you can play -- each with its own flavor (and set of 10 missions in the campaign) that makes the game a different experience and forces you to adopt different strategies based upon what you're playing and what your playing against. The single-player game has a great storyline that feels important and enjoyable all at once. Campaign missions aren't just for training you in how to use units anymore.

When you've completed the campaign, hop online with Battle.net and let the carnage begin! StarCraft lets you play with up to 8 human/computer players via the Internet. Cooperative play with humans is an adventure if you give the computer AI the benefit of numbers (i.e. 5 on 3).

This is a well-balanced real time strategy title with a great story and enough replayability that it remains installed on my computer nearly a year later.

Summary: best game ever
Review: Starcraft is very addictive but it does not end in the missions. It has custom maps to play with freinds. Ones like football or racing. It has a map editor where you can create brilliant maps. You can download maps too play. Then when you've done all that you can get brood wars expansion one. Then isseruction exspansion 2. Brood wars you get new units. Then when you've done that you could start playing on battle net. I've had this game for a couple of years and never lost intrest. This game is a best buy. But if that isn't enough they have got three manuals one about brood wars, starcraft and making maps. So they help you do all these things you didn't know you could do. You could play this game for hours and not get bored

Summary: best game ever
Review: Star craft is amazing with lots of things extra to do to keep you hooked. Like the map editor where you can make just as good maps as the game. or the teo expansion sets witch I've got. Brood wars gives you new players too. Then being able to down load maps off the internet. Finaly you've got battle net that lets you play online. No game can compare to starcamericaraft
