Summary: Fun but Flawed
Review: The search goes on for the software that accurately portrays actual major league baseball. This game is entertaining, easy to play, (but not necessarily easy to win), and has fairly nice graphics and sound. However, it doesn't even come close to the real thing. It's way too easy too hit home runs if you swing hard and high, baserunning is very frustrating because the opposing pitcher will pick your guy off about one in every three pickoff attempts, strikeouts and walks hardly exist for either side, and balls hit up the alley and to the wall are just singles just to name some of my criticisms.

On the positive side, the "Big League Challenge" (formerly home run derby) is a lot of fun, especially the extreme version where players shoot for targets as well as home runs. I actually enjoy this aspect of Triple Play 2001 over the actual baseball game.

Summary: Don't believe the hype
Review: The tv commercial for Triple Play 2001 is deceiving; it shows Ken Griffey, Jr. hitting a homerun while wearing a Reds jersey, unfortunately, on the PlayStation version, he's still a Mariner and you have to trade for him. This is minor, but it matters if you're a hardcore enthusiast. Also, despite what you hear, the graphics are not nearly as good as they were in Triple Play 2000; they are now more cartoonish, and the signature batting styles for certain players is missing in this latest version. Also, it is much harder to control your fielders when you're on defense; balls hit up the middle or to the outfield that should be easy to reach, are not. And, like with other Triple Plays, striking out the computer controlled players is very difficult. Still, despite it's many flaws, the Triple Play series is the best there is. So if you're dying to play a baseball game on your PC or PlayStation, this is as good as it gets.

Summary: A Good Game, but not 5 Stars
Review: This game has very good graphics, but seem to be tooanimated. Microsoft Baseball 2001 has it all over this game in termsof realism. However, this game is quite entertaining and addictive. Home run tournaments with Babe Ruth and Mark McGwire are fun.. The only work this game needs is stadium graphics. A fun game, but still needs a little more work.

Summary: Simply the best! (of its time)
Review: This game is the best! But now TPB will overtake it. But it can, TPB is just the 2002 edition of this game. If u want to get this game, get it i cant stop you, but for a newer game get TPB. I am not saying the TP2K1 is bad, but TPB is better because it is better, so if you like to have up-to-date things get TPB!!!

Translations! TPB=Triple Play Baseball TP2K1= Triple Play 2001 (thought that might be helpful!)

Summary: Triple Play
Review: This should be the best baseball game for this year and for the triple play series. I'm a cubs fan and high heat has sammy, but i played it and it bombed big time. Triple Play is the most exciting game because of it's pitching and hitting modes and now that it's got Babe Ruth I wouldn't choose any other game.

Summary: TP2k1-best of the year
Review: This years version of Triple Play 2001 is the best available baseball game for the PC. It is better then High Heat baseball by a lot, as Heat is simply boring. The online play in TP2k1 makes the game worth getting. Even with a 56k modem it is still easy and fun to play online. This game captures the feeling of the majors better than any other game.

Summary: Baseball for the little Fans
Review: Triple Play 2000 is an exciting game. It has good graphics with good gameplay. If you are looking for a more REALISTIC game then I say get Microsoft Baseball 2001. It has all the ways of gameplay that can make anyone appreciate the game.
