Summary: Simply the best.........
Review: I would just like to reiterate what everyone else is saying in that this game is AMAZING. What a difference a year makes. The graphics are awesome, the commentary is sooo realistic that you might think your watching a real game. I LOVE this game. Everyone needs to own this one.

Summary: Doesn't install
Review: I'd love to play this game, but it doesn't install on my PC. I worked with EA support to try and resolve it but they couldn't come up with a solution. It's not like I have an antiquated PC -- it's a 2.5-year-old Dell Pentium III 600mhz with 256MB RAM and a 32MB NVIDIA video card. EA support indicated that their CD has some sophisticated copy-protection features, but these features are apparently preventing either of my CD drives (I have two) from reading it properly. Beware!

Summary: Awesome Gameplay!
Review: I've been a loyal buyer of Madden NFL games for many years. After the disappointing Madden 2002 where the same color commentary from the 2001 version was reused in 2002 and the computer team will have a "star" Tight End that will always catch a pass on 3rd down (heck the Tight End could end up with more yards than your primary receiver), Madden 2003 has renewed AI and game play that it so much fun and realistic! The graphics are cool and the player animation is a sight to behold (the cheerleaders are a little stiff though). Commentary from Al Michaels and Melissa Starks adds to the "new-ness" of this game.

Easily customizable and the best football sim out there right now! Don't forget the cool MP3 tracks included as well!

Summary: Simply the Best
Review: I've had every Madden since 1997, and this is by far my favorite. It includes so much realism. I think the slogan says it best: "If it's in the game, it's in the game."

For instance, this year you can challenge plays. The people look so much closer to the way they do in real life. The stadiums and the chants are so close to the real thing.

Sure, Pat Summerall was great. But, Al Michaels is a great addition. Madden and Michaels make the best team in the booth.

Well, to sum up, the graphics rock. Sound is AMAZING. Playing is so much fun. It's a great experience. Buy it now.

Review: I've read reviews of people struggling to score 21 points in a game. Well, I'm 7 games into a season (7-0)on the Rookie skill level playing with 6 min quarters, and am averaging 55 points a game. I have the best offense in the league, but the thing is, I also have the worst defense in the league. I can't stop the pass or the run. The CPU just runs past all my defenders without any problem. No one on my team can even catch them if they break free, even ... offensive team like the Lions almost beat me, I just barely edged them 68-67. What kind of realistic game is this? I tried to play it on Pro and then the CPU just tore me apart. I couldn't run the ball. or get enough time to pass it without the defense crushing my pocket and sacking my QB. Then the CPU just marches down the field in 2-3 plays. This game is very unrealistic. I could really care less about great graphics and stuff like that, EA should try and make the gameplay better.

Oh yeah, I really HATE John Maddens commentary during the game. I dont mind the play by play announcer, but JM just gets on my nerves with his stupid remarks that he repeats every game. There should be an option to turn him off.

Summary: game is pretty COOL but EA could have done better
Review: im so conflicted over how to rate this game. first off, madden 2003 is still an awesome and fun game to play. its more exciting than ever. graphics are top notch. instant replays will have u in awe! more options, stats, ratings, and possibilities that will have your mind spinning! oh, the audio is the bomb. al michaels brings his professionalism and objectiveness to the playbooth. madden doesnt seem so annoying with michaels taking over play-by-play. the gameplay is a bit more jerky. i mean, u can make moves more suddenly and quickly as opposed to last year's more fuild, smooth moves on the field. to me, this is a matter of personal preference, so im fine with either one. BUT, alas, EA did miss some spots. for one, if you dont have a souped-up PC, the in-game graphics will suffer. i have a 500 mhz p3 with 32mb tnt nvidia graphics card. yah my system was the bomb almost 3 years ago when i got it, but compared to today's standards, its ancient. but its MINE. that being said, EA seems like it has optimized madden 2003 for at least a 64mb geforce 3 graphics cards running on like a 1.7 ghz p4. i have to turn OFF a lot of the extra graphics and animations becuz gameplay suffers SO MUCH. oh well. another thing is that madden doesnt mention specific players. like last year he would be like 'rodney harrison is a blah blah blah' but this year he doesnt mention anyone by name. wonder why? oh, and its true, when the computer challenges plays, they ALWAYS WIN. get used to it! other than that, the defense secondary play has improved immensely. running the ball is tough, but not any tougher than it should be. the AI of the computer opponent is really good and adjusts to your play calling. overall, a solid upgrade, BUT madden 2002 was MUCH better as a game when it first came out.

Summary: Gets better every year
Review: Just when you think it's impossible for this game to get any better. IT DOES! I used to hate instant replays last year and shut them off. I look foward to them now since they are extremely lifelike. The playbooks are more advanced but the 4th down conversions that were told to be much harder to convert are just as easy as last years, but who cares, this game is thumbs up. There is not one aspect of this game that did not improve 100%. Player and coaches faces are lifelike and celebrations are great. The gameplay is the best, you can challenge plays now! WOOHOO! I've bought Madden since it started and will until it ends. This is the only football game to get.

Summary: Solid game, way better than Madden 2002
Review: Last years Madden 2002 was horrible even the worst quarterbacks could pass for more than 400 years in this game... well Madden came out with the new Madden 2003, graphically Madden is stunning, very real and like life from the players to the referees. They really pushed the graphics one more level with this game. Maybe the best graphics in the whole EA Sports series to date...But the best thing in this game has to be the Franchise mode with 30 years in the making it is a micro management game in its own way to with drafting and trading players.. Probably the best yet.

Only one dislike I've found is the sound. Al Michaels and John Madden are in this game, but the commentary is a bit repetitive and boring, they should have added more expressions to their voices, but it is still better than Madden 2002's commentary

Great game Must buy I would give it 4 1/2

Summary: Better than 2002 - Nowhere close to Segas NFL2K Series
Review: Madden 2003 is at least a playable football game for the pc. I have owned just about every football game for the pc since the FPS football series and there hasnt been much. With no football game of value on the pc, I bought a dreamcast just to play the sega sports NFL2K series. When madden 2002 came out, I borrowed a copy from a friend and it was the worst game since total control football! After the dreamcast went under, I didnt want to buy another console, so I resigned myself to not having football game that was current to play.

After reading several articles on Madden 2003, I decided that I would give it a shot. I will have to say that it is 100% better than 2002, but it is still not as good as sega's NFL2K series. I would suggest this game to anyone that is craving football on their pc, it will get you thru until somebody remembers us pc sports gamers.
