Summary: great graphics....bad controls
Review: This is an amazing game for the graphics. I have played this game for about 10 hours now. The computer graphics are amazing better, but there is a large downfall to the PC version. The PC version requires you to use a keyboard function(unless you want to buy the gamepad[between 15 and 70 bucks]). These keyboard functions are very hard to use and it is not possible to switch them. Some of the controls you can switch but the not pitch screen and running controls (which are the awful ones). NO, i am not just a noob who cant figure that stuff out, it actually doesnt allow you to change those keyboard settings. Here are my stats:
Athlon 64 3000+
512 Mb of RAM
Radeon 9200

Though i do have an old video card(i am planning on updating soon) i am able to run the game on pretty high graphics, and they are VERY clear and have no lag/stall issues. If you are looking for an amazing baseball game with amazing graphics look no further, but if you are looking for a game with easy to learn and use controls...well my only advice is buy a USB game pad, because this is by far the best baseball franchise

ENJOY!

Summary: A great game!
Review: This is by far the best baseball game I have ever played in a long time! I really mean it! I have always bought other baseball games and I did not get MVP baseball 2003 last year. So after reading the reviews on it. I was very impressed with the game. Don't turn down this game because people are complaning about the controller. Just go out and buy one if you don't have that specific controller. People should read about what supports the game before they go out and buy it. Overall it is worth your money!

Summary: MVP Baseball 2004: Most Valuable Game!!!
Review: This is by far the best game that EA sports has ever created. I misjudged the greatness of this product. I'm truly sorry if I misled some people with my earlier reviews of this game. Gameplay is awesome. I hope that EA doesn't stop making newer baseball games for the PC. With each new EA baseball game, there are more and more features available. I totally recommend that you get this game.

Summary: Play with the keyboard? Forget it.
Review: This is pathetic. MVP 2003 was a decent game, despite some hinky bugs like fielders never facing home plate with catching fly balls, and some lame baserunning AI.

But it was better than the 2004 version, especially if you don't use a gamepad, which I don't. If you're only using your keyboard, about 40% of the features of the game are disabled. Lame.

Disabled features when using keyboard only: sliding, diving, leading off, most baserunning, directional hitting, and the fabulous "Big Play" feature.

I can't believe they'd release a game like this.

Summary: I like my keyboard!
Review: This sucks! I buy this game and what do I find out...you don't get the complete game if using your keyboard. I like my keyboard and enjoy playing my other games with it. Why should I have to shell out an additional $20-50 dollars for a gamepad I don't want. EA made a big mistake as far as I'm concerned. And before anyone says, "Just buy a gamepad", the answer is no. If EA can't figure a way to incorporate all the controls for my keyboard, then it's time to look elsewhere for software.

Summary: Avoid This Game Until Controller Support Is Taken Care Of!!!
Review: Unless you have these controllers listed below..Avoid this game!!!
Logitech Dual Action Gamepad
Wingman Cordless Rumblepad
Wingman Rumblepad
Gravis Eliminator Aftershock
Saikek P880 controller

Seems the option to configure your own controller has been taken out and only those few supported. Not about to shell out another $30 for a controller just because it needs to work on this game when i already bought a new controller few weeks ago The USB NYCO AIR FLO PC controller. Seems Amazon failed to mention that to us online shoppers that them few controllers was only supported. Well $40 wasted on this game because of a controller issue. Game looks great. Controller support stinks.

Summary: Nice!!
Review: Well, although by shear luck, I happend to buy a Saitek P880 about a month ago and have not been struck by the ludicrous limitation of supported controllers. This limitation, I must say, is completely unacceptable and frankly, bad business in a field that allows a limitless number of variations.
That being said, this is a cool game. It looks and sounds better then any baseball game ever. After the Triple Play series simply disgusted me, and every other baseball game out there was poor at best, I had given up on baseball video games. After the good reviews MVP 2003 got, I decided to give this a chance, and I am very surprised. This one, although not perfect, no game ever will be, does a lot of things right, that other baseball games can't do. Its a lot of fun. I have heard the PS2 version is full of bugs and the graphics are poor, but the PC version looks great and so far I have not seen any real bugs. Its a good purchase.
