Rating: Summary: Nascar Sim Racing 2005 amost perfect.......... Review: Well as we all know sierra and papyrus set the bar for nascar racing a testament is 4 years later EA is still playing catch up, to be honest the way they been paying for exclusive rights im not sure why they don't just hire the entire papyrus crew and cut the nonsense. the game itself plays well looks pretty good and the career mode is a welcome though not as new as it could be the addition of busch and craftman trucks is nice too. U can see dale Jr's influence there as anyone watching his interviews has seen he likes them trucks..lol the game play is solid not as perfect as nascar 2003 but hey its only there 7th try sooner or later they will get a clue and get it right. I do like the spotter he warmer than n nascar racing 2003. the only big place where they made a major error is no paint shop the ability to edit the car is there but not like u like be nice to just import and export cars at will one foot note dale sr. is in the game as and extra that i really thought was nice and should have been exspanded on been nice to see petty or waltrip there too and other the game is good but in the end its almost but not quite up to papyrus standards. The career mode though is where the meat and taters are it gives u a reason to actually race. which is missing in nascar racing 2003 but the lack of customation makes u just wonder why after 4 years they don't get it.
Rating: Summary: I'd give it 0 stars if I had the option Review: I don't own the game but have played the demo and it is no better than last year's offering. They've had the field all to themselves for the last two years and it is still only 1/10th the game that Papyrus put out 2 years ago. What a joke!!! I wouldn't buy this on a dare.
Rating: Summary: EA sports Monopolizing into Mediocrity Review: With EA starting to eliminate the competition with it's take over of all the franchise tags(NFL with Madden, NASCAR titles)it is time we as consumers demand that they actually do something that is better each year rather that just an update of rosters(Madden) and Cars(Nascar). We as consumers demand a choice and when we are forced to play sub-par products that have no competition because of the sell out by each franchise I say just do not buy any of EA's stuff. This title is OK but not even close to Nascar Racing 2003 season. Which by the way you can still get upgrades for 2005 cars, mods for the truck series, IROC and Busch Series. The AI in NR 2003 is ten time better than EA's product. I returned my copy and got something else. What a let down with no way to paint your own cars like NR 2003 and the racing just seems plain. Please email EA and demand more from them. Until they deliver a product that is worthy of my hard earned $40 - $50 I for one will not play there games period. p.s. the reviews on this game can be found at gamerankings.com and you will see most reviews are a 83 out of a 100.
