Rating: Summary: Excellent flight combat for all skill levels.... Review: I tried playing it on 4 computer systems it give the splas screen and then hangs all the computers. None work with the game. 1. Pentium 4 1.6 512MB RAM 32MB ProSavageDDR 4x AGP WinXP 2. Pentium III 256MB RAM CyberBlade 4x AGP 16MB Win XP 3. Pentium III Celeron 512 MB RAM Rage Pro 16 MB RAM Win XP 4. Pentium II Pro 256 MB RAM 16 MB RAge Pro 2xAGP None of these systems work with this game. The requirements are a farce. This is true for many Take 2 Interactive and Global Star Software games. Further please read my review for Jetfighter V. Little better performance because I was able to get to the game screen after some effort.

Rating: Summary: Finally! A flight/combat sim that isn't too easy! Review: I used to play Jetfighter 2, until it refused to cooperate with Windows 95/98. Now, years later, I just saw Jetfighter 4. I snatched up a copy, put off everything else I had to do, installed and played. The graphics and terrain are highly realistic. The controls are very smooth and yes, it has a learning curve, but the training missions really help out with that. The enemy aircraft are actually a challenge to evade, as opposed to many of the flight sims out there. I have no system problems with it so i would reccomend this to everyone!

Rating: Summary: Really bad game Review: In order to use this game on a Windows XP Home Edition, you will have to jump through hoops. On the back of the case, this game indicates that it will run under Windows 95/98/XP but only if you apply some tricks. It is not easy but it will run. When you do get it running, the graphics are not a good as some other combat games. There is little or no technical support. My son was really disappointed with this game. It now collect dust.
Rating: Summary: You are clear for take off... Review: Introduction I was looking for a good flight simulator and this is the game I ended up buying. It was my first flight sim game. I bought it because it was supposed to be an easier playing game. It took me a while to learn everything but it ended up a pretty fun, playable game. I am very glad to have purchased it. Gameplay The game is incredibly fun. It took me a while to learn and but ever since then, I have been playing for an hour or two every day. My favorite part of the game is how you get to create your own pilot and you can start a campaign. You start off just learning about the basics but you eventually move into real missions. This is a great way for beginners like myself to learn the game. The control of the game is excellent. Make sure you have a good joystick so you can take advantage of the controls. Overall, I would give the gameplay a 9/10. Story You can choose from single missions, free flight or pilot campaigns. Every mission has great stories. If you live in California, you will recognize many places; everything from the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco Airport to Yosemite National Park. And the storyline makes great use of all locations. Overall, I would give the story an 8/10. Graphics Well, my system is not that great so I did not install the detailed graphics but the graphics are still pretty good. I did not expect much considering all of the land that the game traverses. Make sure that you have the following: all sound and video card drivers updated, graphics accelerator, 1GB of hard drive space, 32MB video ram and an average processor. As long as you have these things, you should be able to play the game very smoothly. Overall, I would give the graphics a 7/10. Sound The sound effects are accurate and above average. The communication between your instructor or your wingman are effectively communicated through the sound. Not much else to say considering the game does not have much sound, Overall, 9/10. Play Time/Replay ability There is so much to do in JetFighter IV that you will play this game for a long, long time. There are many missions and the campaign missions take a while to complete as well. Once you have finished all of the missions, you can always just use free flight and roam around and destroy random things. The replay value is excellent, 10/10. Final Recommendation Seasoned flight sim vets may not find this game as enjoyable as Fly! 2 or Microsoft Flight Simulator but it is still a whole lot of fun. Beginners, you need to get this game for sure. It is so easy to learn and once you do, you won't stop playing. Overall rating: 9/10.
Rating: Summary: wont install Review: It wont install on my system. i have a compaq 500 mhz, 128mg ram. I have installed everything from "the sims" to fs 2000 to age of empires and many others with no problems, but this piece of crap gives me the blue screen of death every time. luckily i got it as a christmas present and didnt actually spend my money on it.
Rating: Summary: Fun and Entertaining Review: Jetfight IV is very fun. The ground graphics are so-so, but the gameplay is awsome. The only downside is there only is a small amount of missions you can play before you've played them all. A plus is that the controls with the keyboard aren't confusing at all and they even give you cheats that you can use to make your plane invulnerable to missles, re-arm your plane in the air and re-fuel your plane in the air. Overall, I'd say this game is worth the money and is the best air-to air and air-ground simulater I've every played.
Rating: Summary: problems with new computer users Review: Most of the users with the new Windows XP system find problems with drivers, screens freezes and problems with anti viruses when using this program.
Rating: Summary: Forget playing on XP! Review: Pentium 4, GeForce 4 Ti4200, 512RAM, 2.4 GHz, Windows XP Pro, never a problem with over 30 other graphically demanding games -- and this game will not get beyond the splash screen except with tremendous tweaking of settings and configuration of ini files! Even then, the controls are entirely senseless: totally unrelated to ordinary flight sim models, unintuitive and mostly unchangeable! Worse yet, effectively no support! Don't bother if you're running XP or interested in something that approximates real flight!
