Summary: Pretty good...for the price...
Review: I bought this program in a pack with 2 other games, "Life or Death" and "Disaster Strikes", two specialized versions of the game. All were similar. I came to know about this product after going on the TLC website and playing the online version, which was much slower. I, personally, loved this game at first...but that was over a year ago. We have trained our minds to think newer is better, and it may be, but our medical knowledge rarely changes on subjects presented in this program. Yes, it gets repetetive, and I have had the same patients dozens of times. I think it allows for to much leniancy, that you can choose what patient you want before you enter the waiting room...BUT overall, it is a fairly good game and will satiate your medical hunger!!

Summary: Why do people seem to have such a hard time playing this !
Review: I must say I am perplexed by people having such a hard time playing this game.I have bought this game and the first one.I found them both quite easy.In fact the only 2 problems I ahve with this game is one it's to easy I made chief of staff and did all 100 cases in 2 weeks and second in the first Er game u actually had to stitch the person and put the needle in there arm.In this second one all u have to do is place the needle or sewing thread over the body part.I much preffered doing it myself. But all in all i do enjoy the game and look forward to getting the new ones

Summary: Emergency Room 2: Real Life Experience
Review: I purchased this software when it was fairly new on the market, and I must say that it gets better and better. You are the attending physician for patients that visit the ER. You begin as a med student, and as you successfully treat patients and their health level improves, you move up in rank. There are so many different possibilities for cases, that it would take an eternity to treat them all. The nurses and other staff members, even your boss, will give you praise and/or a promotion when you do will, or scold you when you do poorly. You can't kill anyone, because Dr. D. Boss will intervene before you get that bad.(thank goodness!) This is a great game, and the company even offers free downloads for new cases. You examine the patient, give x-rays and lab tests when needed, answer a few questions about the patient, choose a treatment method, and even treat the patient. This game is great!

Summary: Maybe a little too easy...
Review: I thought this game was a lot of fun. In other words, I got completely addicted to it. However, I made Chief of Staff and treated all 100 patients in less than a week. Once you get to the top, the challenge is gone and it's not much fun anymore.

Summary: I really enjoyed the experience of learning.
Review: I work in a Dr's office and I saw this game in the store and I really wanted to try it out. I got the sample version, but I really want the regular version. From what I got from it, it was the best game on the computer to play. You can really see what the Dr's go through. It is tuff, but enjoyable. I hope you never stop making this kind of game. Thanks for the chance to see what goes on back stage.

Summary: Great Game With A Few Minor Flaws
Review: I'm a 16 year-old aspiring nurse, and I got this game because I wanted to learn more about medicine. As other people have stated, this is *not* a game that you can just start playing and be good at, unless you work in healthcare or know a good deal about it.

Some problems that I have with the game:
- Occasionally a "patient" will come in with an injury in one of their extremities, let's say a badly scraped knee. When you get into the exam room, you can't immediately tell which knee it is, and sometimes they don't tell you. Because you lose points for performing unnecessary procedures, you are occasionally robbed of points because you check a normal body part first.
-Sometimes the CME (Continuing Medical Education) computer gives you bad advice. They tell you that most doctors will perform a certain kind of test, but if YOU perform that test, the game tells you that it was unnecessary.

Other than that, it's a pretty good game. When you do well in the exam room, the nurse flirts with you, which irritates me a bit because it means that the maker is assuming that all the players are guys, but other than that, it's fun.

There are plenty of resources in the game to help you, so you don't need to be a medical expert to play - just be prepared to put a little time and effort into learning. This is an excellent game for people who are thinking about going into healthcare. Because you can select patients either randomly or by ailment, it's also a good way to study.

Summary: GREAT! VERY ACCURATE!
Review: This is not for people without patience or willingness to learn. This game is very good at producing the environment and pressures that REAL doctors face. I think it's very educational for kids and teens. If you like to always win, or want action, this is not for you! Helps teach basics of typical treatment and has a cool replication of the Hospital scene (and staff!). Great for those who like Reality Software. For real doctors, this stuff is way too basic. For non-doctors, it may be too hard at first, but game provides the text and school (that you can jump to) to learn what you need to provide the best care! Good Luck!!

Summary: Can only be played,if you are a real life doctor.
Review: When i bought this game i was excited to get it. The back of the CD made it look like it would be fun. But i was wrong. I like the way you could use all the things and even go to the food machine and get snacks. But the game play was terrible. Their was not any real good help hints to help you out ,it was hard to know what to do next and when you did fine out where to go the patiant would already be dead (i mean not everyone is going to know what to do when they first play this game) so they should have had more helpful hints. They did have a place where you could go and find out what it was your patiant had and what you could do for it.But you could not understand it one bit... unless you had a Med book to look up what they were talking about. They need to keep in mind that this is just a game, not the real thing, and that not everyone is going to take 8 years of Med school just so they can play it. Not worth the buy. save your money for a better game!
