Rating: Summary: Much better than the CF expansion Review: I have been playing the original RCT game for a very long time. It is one of the best computer games I have ever played, and it is totally addictive. I bought the 1st expansion pack (Corkscrew Follies) soon after it came out and was dissapointed after a while. I felt that Chris Sawyer hadn't added enough. I just got the new expansion pack (Loopy Landscapes) and it is much, much better than CF. It gives you a donut stall, a t-shirt stall, the water coaster, American-style trains for miniature railroad, banked turns for steel mini, and a lot more. It is annoying that you have to buy CF with LL, but LL is so good I don't really care. If you like RCT, buy LL right away.
Rating: Summary: Loopey Landscapes is a little dissappointing Review: Although I am a fan of RCT, Loopey Landscapes has a few problems in my opinion. The new themeing is fine though I still feel they do not offer enough choices in each genre' to really make your park look unique. Why not add some animated animals for the "Jungle" themeing? Is it really necessary to have "Spooky" and "Creepy" themeing? Same situation with "Space" and "Martian" themeing. Why didn't they just combine these similar styles and offer other choices like "50's," "Wild West," or "Hollywood" themeing for example. Fans expecting 6 new themes are going to be dissappointed. The coffee shop, lemonade stand, and T-shirt stall are all great though I was wishing for even more shops and stalls. I also think that all RCT players would like to see more non-rollercoaster type rides. There are a few added but not many. As for the new scenarios, they are difficult (which I like) but there is a bug in the program that makes a few of them impossible to solve if you let your researcher develope to many new attractions. Until Chis Sawyer develops a patch for this problem, I'd wait on dishing out [the money] for a game that does not live up to the standards we expect from Hasbro, MicrosProse, and the RCT series.
Rating: Summary: This game rocks Review: I really think this game is worth it. It's even better because it comes with corkscrew follies. Basicly all I can say is its awsome. Happy spending
Rating: Summary: Rebate for those who already own Corkscrew Follies! Review: To the person who complained about Hasbro jacking the price and including Corkscrew: there is a rebate for Corkscrew owners in the Loopy box. Hasbro did the RCT world a favor: the Loopy set uses tech from Corkscrew; it won't work without Corkscrew. Rather than requiring everyone to buy Corkscrew and then buy Loopy, Hasbro just gives you both in one box! Loopy is great, both for RCT fans who bought Corkscrew and those who are just getting into RCT.
Rating: Summary: Chris Sayer and Hasbro is ripping you off!!!!! Review: I have been a FAN of Rollercoastertycoon and Corkscrewfollies for a long time. BUT ever since they stopped updating their website it seemed like Chris Sawyer was getting lazy and I stopped playing the game period. If anyone wants to pay 30 bucks for another expansion pack, I suggest you think about it and get some other game like The Sims. All Sawyer and Hasbro can do is rip people off, releasing expansion after expansion. ALSO about that rebate from rollercoastertycoon.com... you need to MAIL the CORKSCREW CDROM ALONG with upc codes, the form and the recipt for loopy landscapes. I think thats ridiculous. This is the prime example of how this company is ripping their customers and fans off. I spent 30 bucks getting Follies, now i have to send my cd back and pay another 30 bucks for the loopy landscapes to get 10 dollars from the mail????? They have to realize that we are buying their loopy landscapes because we are fans and most importantly, OWN THE FULL VERSION OF RCT. Why not just chop the price than hand out sissy rebates. 80% of rebates dont come back anyway, after 6-8 weeks, you forgot you even sent one!!! Its my point of view and although the games gave me some entertainment, its not worth stuffing 25 bucks into Sawyer's pocket.
Rating: Summary: MUST BUY! Review: When i first saw this game i thought it would be dull and boring. Then one day my friend let me borrow it and i still have! I instantly bought Loopy Landsapes and was blown away. This is must have for any gamer!
Rating: Summary: Awesome! A whole new RTC experience! Review: The day I found out about Loopy Landscapes being released - I bought it. I don't care about the price - I don't care they included Corkscrew Follies (which all faithful RTCers already have) - I just don't care! Loopy Lansacpes is awesome and feeds the RTC addiction fabulously! Great, great additional scenarios, awesome new scenery, fun new rides, loads and loads of new options.....really, really worth every cent! And, as others have said, you can get a $10 rebate if you already have Corskscrew Follies...but even if you don't bother with the $10, this expansion pack is worth it! Soooo worth it! The winterscape scenery is the best! Buy it - Buy it - Buy it!
Rating: Summary: whats up with this Review: I really really want this game ,but why the heck do I need to buy corkscrew follies agian?? I think thats VERY iggnorant!!
Rating: Summary: I'd give it more if I could... Review: This expansion pack is GREAT! The scenario list is finally organized, there are new ride entrances/exits, the winter themeing is great (flying snowballs!). The pack is worth buying just for the scenario that gives you a huge, flat park, unlimited money, and no time constraints to meet the goal. I didn't think Corkscew follies was that great, but this one more than makes up for it. I can't wait to see the rest of the new stuff....
Rating: Summary: The best game I've ever played Review: this game will be one of the best ever created. The only bad part about it is that if you already have corkscrew follies it's sort of a waste of money because nobody really keeps the UPC code of a game you purchased a year ago, but... all the rides and theming sound great. I've heard a lot from people on message boards about night-view and 1st-person view; I know for a fact first-person view isn't in this yet and hoping night view is in. What's the purpose of lamps if it never gets dark? and living in WIsconsin i've been to a couple 'arctic' themeparks too. They were all mostly inside.
