Summary: best game you can find
Review: By far, Tachyon is the best computer game I own. It has a well developed plot, excellent graphics, and the best multiplayer capability.

In single player, you can travel to different star systems and travel through tachyon gates to get to different sectors. Go on missions to gain credits and further the plot, then spend the credits on a more powerful ship, better weapons, and useful systems. You can join one of two factions, Bora colonists, or Galspan mining corporation, and fight against your enemies and for what your faction thinks is right.

In multiplayer, you can fight in one of two ways: arena match, in which you go up against as many as 31 other players and try to kill as many of them as often as possible without dying too mudch, or base wars, in which you climb the technology tree on your base to get better weapons and destroy the enemies base. Both have excellent real-time graphics and you experience no lag.

The graphics on this game are stellar, with amazing ship, weapon, planet, starbase, and asteroid portrayals as you zoom around the galaxy. The AI is well developed and ranges from being relatively easy at the beginning, to incredibly hard and challenging near the end.

All in all, this is a great game, and I hope to see you on multiplayer.

Summary: Tachyon Review
Review: Tachyon: The Fringe is an action-packed space combat game that takes place in the 26th century. Players take on the role of Jake Logan, a corporate star-pilot who takes high risks for little money. The beginning of the game starts the player in the Sol Region(our home solar system) where you work for a major corporation of starship design known as Advanced Ganymede Technologies. The Sol Region is controlled by The United Sol Government(USG). Peace prevailed in our home solar system until small problems started to emerge and the USG decided to create an enforcement branch known as Star Patrol to protect the citizens of Sol and to prevent known criminals from returning to the Sol Region. Back to the main topic...you fly as Jake Logan deciding what missions you undertake for money. The more money you collect, the more tech upgrades and weapons you can buy to better your ship. As you play on, you discover that you were framed for a crime you didn't commit. You are punished by being exiled from Sol space into the lawless regions of the Fringe. Two factions are at war when you enter the Fringe; a megacorporation known as the Galactic Spanning Corporation, or GalSpan as it is more commonly called; and the Bora colonists, a rogue group of people that left Sol over 400 years ago to avoid the laws set forth by the USG. You choose what side to fight on and also on what missions you wanna fly and pilot up to 11 different ships. I own and have played this game multiple times and everytime, I still get worked-up and amazed at how great this game really is. Out of all the computer games I have played, Tachyon: The Fringe has got to be my most favorite. I gave this game a 4 out of 5 stars because, the game has a good story plot, awesome graphics, and fast framerate but I think there should be a little more to it like more powerful weapons for example or faster ships, or more missions to fly.
