Rating: Summary: OLD PRO PILOTS WILL LOVE IT. Review: SCENERY ABOVE 1,000' AGL IS ABSOLUTELY SUPERB FOR PC SOFTWARE. HANDLING THE F-51D IS AMAZINGLY REALISTIC REALIZING IT'S JUST A VIDEO GAME. TAKING OFF AND LANDING WAS SUFFICIENTLY EMOTIONAL AND CAPTIVATING. THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST EXPERIENCE EVER ON ANY FLIGHT SIMULATOR. I HAVE OVER 10,000 HOURS LOGGED IN MILITARY AND GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT. UPON MY FIRST LANDING I FOUND I WAS PRESPIRING UNDER MY ARMS AND WHEN I RESTED MY HAND FROM THE JOY STICK IT WAS TRIMBLING. YEP, I'D SAY IT WAS SUFFICIENTLY REALISTIC. lOOKING OUT THE LEFT WINDOW ACROSS THE TIP OF THE WING AND IN A SHALLOW LEFT TURN THE GROUND AND SHORELINE DETAILS ARE AMAZINGLY LIKE THE REAL EXPERIENCE. I JUST LOVED IT BECAUSE I HAVE MEMORIES OF WHEN I REALLY DID IT ALL. IF ANYONE CAN DIRECT ME TO A SOFTWARE WITH BETTER SCENERY AND OTHER EFFECTS I'D APPRECIATE IT....
Rating: Summary: a Great Game Review: This is a very good game. the grafics are pretty good but i got a program that made them better. and when you buy it you can play online at the MSN gaming zone. i play there at the moment. my zone name is CS_DUDE_ . if you ever need help learning how to fly come on and i will help you learn.
Rating: Summary: Great Software Review: This game is a wonderful Flight Sim. You get 8 planes, from WWII. What makes this game great is it's online community; on the internet gaming zone. There are thousand of fast paced, high action dogfights to WWII bomber runs. Finally, you can get every plane from snoopy's dog house to a F-22 raptor fighter from sights.
Rating: Summary: Great WW2 flight simulator Review: Microsoft has given all other WW2 simulators a challenge. This game has great graphics and gameplay and at times good cinemas, but not the greatest. It's hard to play without a joystick and a good system, if your speed is not a Pentium 2 or higher it could be a little slow. It's still fun though. The missions are fun and fast paced, although it takes a while to get used to and be able to handle the plane. Also in battle it's sometimes hard to get the other planes, but the bombers you'll probably get on your first try but it still takes a while to get the others. There are a number of different aircrafts, but only a couple available in each mission. It is a challenging and fun game, I reccomend it to people who like air combat and flight games.
Rating: Summary: combat flight sim Review: this is a GREAT game that i would recommend to all WW2 enthusiasts. sure it has certain shortcommings but overall it is excellent. the two greatest things about this game are: online play (on the zone and thru IP) and the expandability of the game w/ aircraft, missions, and scenery. Ive been playing it since Feb 99 and have yet to get sick of it. The are over 100 websites devoted to it so they must have done something right. Try it and youll be hooked too. P>S>Get the Sidewinder Joystick youre gonna need it
Rating: Summary: Boring Review: I have quite a few flight simulation games and this one gets boring fast. Their are very few missions to choose from and not a lot of aircraft to choose from either.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Review: I found this game to be excellent in every aspect. The aircraft, scenery, and missions were detailed and well planned. It is true that after a while the game got a little boring, but more addons keep coming out that let you fly in the Pacific, China, Italy, and North Africa. Each addon gives you even more planes, missions, and challenges. I would really recommend this game to anyone who wants to get a WW2 flight simulator.
Rating: Summary: Like Meatloaf Every Tuesday Night... Review: This is the game I bought a new CD-ROM, Voodoo 3D accelator card and almost a new $1,500 PC to play! It chokes on my old 133 MHz unless everything graphical is set to wire-frame-and-polygon scale.Initially very fun, until you play it a week or so. Then you realize that the things that make computer games really fun -- role playing where your squadron gains more experience -- is missing from this flight sim. Sure, the dog fights are fun, but this game tends to give you that ghostly 'I'm all alone in Sim Land' feel after while. The campaigns are long strings of same-o missions. A case in point: After you take off, you can skip to the action. Pretty soon you find you never fly anymore, just skip to the action, fight, and skip back home. That gets old fast and pretty soon you'll delete this ol' dog off your hard drive and look for something with more depth.
Rating: Summary: hard Review: this game is very hard. it only has guns, no bombs and the plain is hard to control i recomend u dont get this combat game because it is hard to stear and doesnt stear fast to get out of trouble of other plains. DONT GET IT.
Rating: Summary: Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator Review: The program has good graphics but if you use the full capabilities, the flight is jerky. Even though Microsoft wrote it for Microsoft Windows 98 it still causes computer freezes occasionally. Campaigns are not too exiting. When you are in a battle, even though there are six or seven of your group in the same battle, the enemy seems to flock to your aircraft most of the time.
