Rating: Summary: Just Plain Great Sim Review: A fun game, but not much of a simulation. Great graphics, and challenging in that you can actually get shot down. Considering the Comanche has been in the works for the past 15 years, and shows no signs of being finished for 15 more, this might be your only chance to fly, let alone see a Comanche. It's probably in the dollar bin now, so it's worth a few bucks to give it a try.

Rating: Summary: Headspinning arcade shooter not for flight-simmers Review: Being a fan of Novalogic for four years and owning eight of their games I eagerly awaited C4. Hoping to experience the realism Novalogic is known for I was terribly disappointed to find Comanche 4 to be an arcade shooter. I have Comanche 3 and although the graphics are terribly dated it has much better gameplay and realism. I'm a flight-simmer and love flying. What good are jawdropping graphics if your not given time to enjoy them. All missions in Comanche 4 are time-sensitive which gives you no time to do anything but acquire targets and shoot. If you win the objectives, forget about flying around mopping up secondary targets or surveying the damage you've done because you are immediately loaded back to the menu. Forget about flying back to base, landing and feeling the accomplishment of making it back home. The only time you get to view the detail of the awesome graphics is during the opening cut scene of each mission and they aren't interactive. If you are a Ricochet Rabbit on caffeine under the age of 16 this game might be for you. If you like flying helicopters and realism then by no means buy this game. I'm so disappointed with Novalogic. This game is going back to the store.
Rating: Summary: One of the hottest games of the 2001 Review: Comanche 4 is one of the best games I have played this year. Now when I rate games I am very tough but this game is just amazing for many reasons. 1. some of the best graphics I have seen in a sim 2. perfect difficulty levels three is just enough. 3. great gameplay 4. excellent controls 5. smart AI 6. excellent selection of weapons and 7. very realistic This game is a must buy no matter if you're a hard core gamer or someone who has never played a sim like this before. To all the parents out there this is a great christmas gift.
Rating: Summary: Worth the cash Review: Comanche 4's graphics are superb, if a little arcady. Although I found that I collided with hills a little too often this was probably as much down to my skill as the flight model. Tanks blow up nicely but using the 'ripple-fire' technique can be a bit complicated. Overall, a great game, worth the input. Can Novalogic please make it easier to create missions???
Rating: Summary: Just Plain Great Sim Review: I bought this game about a year ago in a flight pack and it is the best out of the four that came in the pack.Im still having tons of fun with it.Graphics, fun, and blowing stuff up,all in one great game.A joystick will also make the game easier and more fun.
Rating: Summary: !WARNING! - Buggy Game Review: I bought this game expecting something similar in quality to Novalogic's "Delta Force LandWarrior" game. What I got was a system-devouring, buggy crash-fest. The game installed without incident, and I played the first mission without too much consternation (why does the mission suddenly stop when most of the bad guys are down? No mopping up allowed? I took off from the base, can't I find my way back and land?) but the next mission had too many tanks or planes I guess. At first, the game turned into "Commanche 4: The Slide Show", then it crashed--Ka-Boom! I realized that when I came over a particular hill during this mission at a particular angle of attack, the game would have a stroke and start locking up. If I ran into another chopper (one appears in the distance), the game would brain-freeze. I have been playing alot of graphically intense programs lately with no problems, I have a Geoforce2 card, 512MB of RAM and a P4 machine; so what is the problem?? Who knows. The graphics in this game are'nt that hot, the gameplay would be almost worth it, if Commnche 4 worked properly. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Buy the "Commanche Vs. Hokum" game instead, it is MUCH better: a realistic flight model, better controls and it does'nt gobble up your computer or stop the sim when it thinks you're finished playing.
Rating: Summary: Comanche 4 ROCKS!!! Review: I have an AMD 1200 Mhz processor with 128 megs of ram and and a Riva TNT2 32 meg card. This helo sim is the most fun I've ever had on a sim, others cannot come close to it. The weapons, details, terrain, and human like figures make this as real as it gets. Novalogic scores with this one! Difficult to learn but not hard to master after a few deaths : ) You'll not regret it but be sure you've got a fast machine. pC sim - meister
Rating: Summary: Do not buy if you have a video card with a TV out! Review: I have never gotten this game to function with my video card. After a mission loads, the game crashes every time. According to technical support, this game is prone to do this with many video cards with a TV out, and hat they're developing a patch to fix this. It's been almost a year and no patch has appeared.
