Summary: Good at the beginning, like most
Review: Rollor coaster Tycoon is like most computer games because it fun at the beging like most computer games. At the beging it's a trill. All you want to do is make your park succesful. But after you master the game that's it. The trill last about 3 weeks.

Summary: Far From Perfect, But Worth It
Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon is quite the little game, and one that is certainly suitable for the whole family. For the enthusiast of constuction-style games, however, there are several glaring flaws.

The game's scenarios go from too simple to simply obnoxious; it seems like the game designers felt a powerful need to have theme parks constructed in all kinds of bizarre locations.

Once one overcomes the irritation of the terrain (ex. decides not to care how stupid a park built entirely on water looks) the conditions for winning a scenario are far, far too simple. When the goal is to have x guests in the park by year three, and by the opening of year two the player has already far surpassed that goal, perhaps an option should exist to win prematurely and move on to a more interesting park, no? On the enjoyable maps, this is never an issue; there's always a new joy to add to the park. However, there are maps that I personally would choose not to play at all, except that in order to unlock further maps, one HAS to.

The other big problem with this game, from my perspective, is the poor pathing of the guests. The best way to illustrate the problem is this: download one of the "actual park" maps at the RCT website. Play it for five minutes. Watch all of the people scream at how lost they are and how badly they want to go home. This isn't a problem in very small parks, but when parks start to grow, a player has to be very Spartan with pathing options.

When all is said and done, I would definitely buy this game if I didn't already own it, as the joys of simply building the coasters and waterslides make it all worth it.

Summary: This game is SO fun!
Review: I love this game so much.

I haven't got that far because I just bought it, I only got to Dinky Park. Still, that is farther than Mom has gotten. Mom lets me play nonstop, except when it's my brothers' turns.

Summary: Run a Roller Coaster Park
Review: It is all of the fun of running a Roller Coaster Park without getting paid for it. Just hours of fun. We bought this as a gift for my brother in law and now he will never stop playing it. I can always tell a great game by the length of time anyone in our family spends on it. This one is a keeper. You have to keep up on all of the daily mainteance on running a park. It is a MUST BUY !

Summary: Good game at first, but gets old fast
Review: I remember when Rollercoaster Tycoon first came out a while ago, and I rushed to the store and picked up my copy brimming with anticipation. And at first, it was everything I hoped it would be. You can do pretty much anything with all of the rides and shops, which was fun, but the weather effects are annoying. I completed the first five or so scenerios, and was expecting even better environments as the game went on, but I was wrong. It was more of the same-green land and trees;green land and trees. And soon after, since you have to get so far in the game to build some of the cool types of rollercoasters, you get bored with building the paks themselves, let along the scenerios. All in all, this game will last you a month, mabye two(if you play it consistantly). However, at first, the game is really fun and if you are willing to pay the money for domething that will entertain you for a little while, by all means buy it.

Summary: One Of The Best Games Ever.
Review: This is one of the best games I have ever played second only to worms and starwars droid works.

Summary: Loads of Fun
Review: If you like strategy games but are tired of the Star Wars and the Final Fantasies, Roller Coaster Tycoon is the game for you. You get to create your very own theme park and collect money from people who will ride everything, buy anything, and just have a good time! This is one of the best PC games I've ever played, especially being a game that is ONLY made for the computer. This game gets 5 stars, easily!

Summary: I don't understand why some people don't like this game!
Review: This is one of the most awsome sim games, even though it's not part of the Sim collection. There are tons of diferent things to do, and it requires lots of time. It's fun to make your own coasters, but confusing if you don't know the whole game. I gave it 5 stars because I love the Sim games and can't put this game down.

Summary: Roller Coaster Mayhem
Review: Hells Bells Eunice!

I didn't even know that I wanted such a game, but the goodly people at Microprose knew, and created a masterpiece. Just about everything can be done in this game, including popping balloons accidentally let go by your guests, or making the stupid little ducks quack. Don't even mention building your own roller coaster! Unbelieveable - and quite challenging too.

But really, the best part is making the rides blow up...try it with "Whoa Belly", and set the launch speed as high as possible, and then watch the metal fly. It's best to do it with as many people on the ride as possible...
