Summary: Sooooo Addicting...I mean WAS soooo addicting
Review: This game is the most addicting game I have ever played, I mean, it WAS the most addicting game I have ever played. When I had first recieved this game I loved the great graphics, fun themes, and excitement of building my own rollercoasters, but after about a month, I never even touched the game. I think it is the time limits that really bore me and swayed me away from this game. I think it would be really cool if the stages could be expanded to a much greater degree to give room to build more rollercoasters. I do not think it is very exciting waiting for the march of the 3rd year after all of your rollercoasters have been built after the first year. Well, All I can say is: It was fun while it lasted!!

Summary: Ready To Coast
Review: I am a twelve year old and I am involved with a lot of sports. When I am home I want to spend my time relaxing and not being stressed out because I can't get something to work. This game is nothing like that. It has a easy downloading procedore. Also once I actually got in to the program with a easy click. I wa building roller coasters like I was a pro. The thing I think people we glance over this product. Roller Coaster Tycoon. It is a catchy name, But only for the people who are deeply into roller coasters. This game only isn't roller coasters. It is a whole amusement park game. You can place rides in spots. The rides are from a ferris wheel or scrambler to a log flume or a power launch tower. This has to be my favorite computer game I own. Also you would think that this game isn't very educational. Well it is. You learn about force, math and how to budget your money. It is just a great all around game. Thanks Chris Sawyer for producing a great game like this.

Summary: What, no violence?
Review: The Emperor loves his violence. Games without the satisfying spray of bodily fluids and the rumble of entire city blocks don't usually satiate his dark urges.

Why is it then that this game is addictive?

Another reviewer mentioned flexibility and creativity, these are the key aspects of RCT and its follow-ons. Plus it's just plain amusing.

Feel the power of creating a coaster with an excitement rating of 7.5, intensity of 7 and a nausea rating of 4.

AAHHHHHHH the evil glee.

Buy this game and Loopy Landscapes. Play it with your kids, then pack them off and play it alone. Play it on your laptop on the plane and demand they come up with a PocketPC version.

After all, it's been the in the top 10 of pest selling PC games for over a year. Millions can't be wrong.

Hey, wait a minute! All those deer hunting games were in the top 10 too.

Hmmmmmm. Insidious.

Summary: Fun For The First Couple Of Months
Review: I recieved this game for Christmas & once I got it hooked up I was addicted. I loved the concept of building your own theme park. Between me & my 12 year old brother we had built every ride there was to build & had about 8 of every theme park. After awhile we started using it less & less, then it sat completely forgotton on a shelve in our den. It had been 3 months that we had played it & now we only play it unless were bored enough. My advice to anyone who wants to buy this or 'The Sims' is just don't. If you really want to play it I would borrow it from a friend or nieghboor.

Summary: By far my favorite game
Review: After the original SimCity came out I had thought it would be cool to have Sims based on other industries. When I first heard of RCT I ran out and bought it. Two years later, I still am not bored with it.

The flexibility the game gives you in designing your own rollercoasters and theme parks is remarkable. This is one game that lets the players creativity shine.

If you like any of the Sim-games you will love RCT. If you are trying to decide between this and ThemePark, choose RCT. RCT has a more realistic feel, and better coaster design capabilities.

Summary: the best theme park game on the market
Review: I played games like theme park and sim city all the time when i was young. Then one day roller coaster tycoon hit me in the face like a rock. It is theme park but 120% better. you build rollercoasters and stalls. You manage you finace, staff and ride reserch. When you first start the game you can choose out of 5 senarios and every time that you compleate one another one becomes available. They get harder as the game continues. It would take a long time to compleate all the senarios and i have never done it myself but if you want to find out what they all are you can download a trainer of the internet and enable them all. You enter the game and build build build untill you compleate the objective given. Exciting, challenging, intellectual and requires imagination.

Summary: Possibly the best sim ever created.
Review: **NOTE: This review is for both RCT and its two expansion packs.

When I say that, I mean that if I could give it a six-star rating, I'd give it seven.

Now I know that there are many people out there that think that this game gets boring after the first few weeks, that the elements get old, etc. I also know that there are also many people out there that gave it a poor or mediocre rating just because it's "hard to design roller coasters."

First of all, I too thought it got boring after about a month too. But then the expansion pack came out, and I, remembering how entertaining the first few weeks of playing was, bought Corkscrew Follies, and fell in love with the game once again. Then, for those who said that the roller coaster designing was difficult, I too thought that. Originally, All of my roller coasters went up, turned around, and went down.

Not too exciting of a roller coaster.

But then, my skills progressed. I say that because roller coaster building is a skill. Eventually, I created extremely complex layouts with many twists and turns.

The game is amazing. The thirdmost thing I like the most is the accuracy of the test results of your rides. It will tell you the max. speed, highest drop, # of inversions, and even vertical and lateral g-forces. It will even calculate Nausea, Excitement, and Intensity ratings.

My second-most favorite thing is guest interaction. You can click on any guest in your park, and a window will pop up telling you their hunger, thirst, happiness, energy, nausea (and, yes, they do vomit), and even their recent thoughts.

My favorite thing in the whole game is most definitely the themeing. THIS is what makes it a true amusment park. You can put your park on a beach, in a mine, on mars, on a smow coverecd mountain, in the middle of a city, in a Renaissance style town, or just a regular grassy terrain.

If I could complain about one thing for RCT, it would be the fact that Chris Sawyer, the developer of the game didn't include a freestyle "SimCity"-esque park; that you can only create parks from scenarios.

Summary: Nice
Review: This game is one of the best out there. You dont need a supercomputer. In fact this is one game where the requierments will let it run just fine. Pros: very addictive, fun, realistic, low requierments. Cons: very easy, time consuming(there are time limits, but you need to wait until the time expiers-very annoying). Overall this game is well worth the money, expesaly if you buy loopy landscapes (the expainsion)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: very good
Review: you can make your own rides, make parks, and best of all, just witness how your customers are doing and seeing your rides.
