Rating: Summary: Realistic, challenging BLAST! of a racing game. Review: I just happened to stumble upon Sports Car GT, and, 'Boy', am I glad! I'm a road racing fan and this is a seriously realistic road racing game. In career mode you start with little money, a low-powered BMW, Porsche (or other cars) and work your way to the top with your race winnings money. GT1 cars are superfast! And superpowerful! Too much throttle out of corners and you'll swap ends. Tracks are true to the real thing. Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca, Willow Park (watch out for the bumpy back straight, it wreaks havoc on the rear-weight-biased porsches,) Hokkenheim and others. (I really wish it had Road America from Elkhart Lake, WI since I'm a Wisconsinite and attend road races at RA.)I've played all the Need For Speeds (not really a racing game, but similar genre) and Sports Car GT is its superior. Electronic Arts really did their work to capture the feeling of real road racing. Tracks have to be learned to win. And cars' quirks come out in fender to fender action. The BMW is SO WELL balanced! I can pit a lower class BMW against the GT1s and beat them on short-straight tracks (even with the AI difficulty turned all the way up.) Cars include the Mustang, Mosler GT (a hard car to drive hard), McClaren F1 (easy fast), Panoz, Porsche 911 & GT1, BMW M3, and others I can't remember right now. Because this game is several years old, it should run just fine and any nearly current system. If you like road racing, GET THIS GAME!
