Summary: Warning - Not WinXP Compatible!
Review: Contrary to what the "Platform" above suggests, these games are not really compatible with Windows XP. Read the "System Requirements." As that says, SimCity is compatible and worked just fine. I was not so lucky with Sim Theme Park.

Sim Theme Park crashed the very first time I tried it. I downloaded an XP fix from the internet and the program did get further along then before. However, it eventually crashed my computer hard - computer shut down and restarted on its own. Even after the restart, my video card acted up until I completely turned off the computer and started it again (a simple restart was not enough). Windows also crashed once.

I decided not to install Sim Coaster or Sim Golf after the bad experience with Sim Theme Park.

I received these as a gift. Since I'm not out any money, I'll give the package two stars for Sim City.

By the way, for those interested, I'm using Window XP Home Edition, AMD Athlon 2.4GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, and 80GB HD.

Summary: all wrong!!!!!
Review: I give this 2 stars for benefit of the doubt because I have not played Sim Coaster.

Sim Theme Park and Sim Golf did nothing for me, not even fun in an initial sense, but I confess I've never played a Golf video game I liked. Golf for me is being there.

Sim City 3k, when it came out and I rushed to buy it, I thought was a step up in detail, capability and graphics from its predecessor, but it was a step down in gameplay, stability and music (though many couldn't care less about the latter).

This visit to Amazon was actually to see if there was a Sim Mania package that had SimCity 2000, because I'd love to have that game compatible with my current system. THAT was a heck of a game. SimCity Classic was popular, but it was 2k that really put Maxis (the developer at the time) on the map. It wasn't as advanced as SimCity 3k, but it was an all around superior game.

The reason why I'd rate SimCity3k at only 1 star is not because it's a terrible game. It's okay. But I just think it's a waste of time. SimCity 2k is worth playing, and if you really want the best SimCity game all around (that's currently out), I can't imagine an arguement against SimCity 4, as long as you get the Rush Hour expansion pack too.

Summary: My Op
Review: Maybe they did not work on your computers because simply your computer is outdated. It workered great on mine no problems i even ran with Xp. This game is ok but i prefer other EA games. And to anyone who thinks EA is a bad company is wrong. This company is making millions and is making the games i love. I suggest anyone read up on them they are not some unqualified team of dummys but one team of experts.

Summary: NOT COOL
Review: My Daughter got the Sims2 game as a gift(belated 16th Birthday). She tried to install it on Hewlett-Packard Windows XP Home Edition with 1.8 Celeron Processor, 256MB, 60GB, CD-RW and DVD-ROM. We read all the instructions and guess what happened next?
The instalation seemed ok, but, when she went to play the game, the game froze up and crashed, the computer shutdown. She had to reboot the Computer, So, she can uninstall the game to save her homework and projects from the games' destructive nature. She gave the game, a long with bags of books and clothes to GoodWill. Obviously it's not compatable with Windows XP. I even stated on a note and attatched it to the game.

Summary: THIS GAME SUCKS
Review: Not only were these games a pain in the neck to install...once you got them installed they crash back to the desktop. You can download all the patches you want but it will not help! I can't even tell you about game play because we never got that far! Overall, it is a waste of time and money. I used to be a sane person until my son talked me into buying this four pack...now all I can do is scream at the thought of them! Save yourself! And your money, DON'T BUY THIS GAME! Furthermore...never buy anything made by EA...we have Playstation games by them and they all BITE. EA should be shut down for their lack of customer service. All they are out for is the almighty dollar!

Summary: The best PC game out there today!
Review: These games are awesome. (Exept SIM Golf, but just SIM Theme Park is worth buying!) Here's some details about these games in my own words:

Sim Theme Park:
Create your own theme park and ride it with SIM Theme Park! (My favorite game/I recommend it for first-time SIM users / Stars=5+)

Sim Coaster:
Similar to SIM Theme Park. In this game, you create roller coasters and ride them! (I recommend it for SIM users with a little bit of experience/ Stars=4)

Sim City 3000:
Create and manage your very own city with Sim City 3000. Build schools, police stations, and even destroy buildings! Build famous landmarks like the Statue of liberty, White House, etc.
It's all up to you with Sim City 3000! (Bad Graphics/Good Audio, hours of entertainment/I Recommended it for TEENS (at least 16-18 years of age) - ADULT USERS because of complicated stuff like loans, financing, etc. / Stars=3 1/2)

Sim Golf:

With SIM golf, you can build 18-hole golf parks. (This game is the HARDEST of all to understand. / Game involves gambling / I Recommended it for Adult users only. / gets boring / Stars=2)

Get this great deal today! You won't regret it!
