Summary: 100% Masterpiece
Review: I could remember how interesting Sim City was with its simplicity. lay down a block....power it....lay a road down then watch it come to life. Many don't quite realize that the fun comes from the challenge of running a city that you created...yeah you don't have to worry too much about a fruit sala sprayed on you car or lobbyist at your front door....but its great to see a new city that youve devoted time to makeing lots of money....sims happy...and yet could destroy it all in an instant.

Graphics and sound are nothing short of unreal...especially coming from Maxis. I was very impressed with the originaly Sim CIty 3k, but adding scenarios and a new landscapes...just adds more challenge...and fun to the game. Excellent game.

Summary: Sim City 3000
Review: I like this game alot. i play it at my friends house only because she has windows 98. I think they should make a simcity 3000 for windows me. Sim city 3000 has really cool stuff. You can build your own city or use one thats already in use like Frankfurt, Germany or you can make your own city. If you get sick of your town and become bored, for fun you can desstroy it by a tornado earthquake and ufos and other cool stuff like that.
The producer of this company should make it for all windows and if yuor making it for windows me your taking a long time.

Summary: (...)this is the worst game I've ever played
Review: I have a lot of PC Games I enjoy: Starcraft, Red Alert 2, and even the Sims is kinda fun. I bought Sim City 3K because everyone praises it so vigorously. I keep hearing how well Sim City 3K is selling, and I read reviews on amazon giving it 5 stars. Unfortunately, after buying the game rather cheap, I was absolutely disgusted by the lack of fun running rampant throughout the whole game. I invested about 10 hours into it, and I couldn't stop my city from going into debt for the life of me. I then used the cheat codes, a common practice I've noticed in Maxis games where you want to progress in under 500 hours. Even with the code I still found myself horribly bored. Do you actually enjoy putting down grids of water pipes for hours? Is spending hours putting powerlines up and connecting them to power stations fun?? What am I missing? Even the 5 whole mass desruction scenes are boring after watching them about twice. This game is like the king without his clothes. Everyone says they love it, but all I see is a naked fat useless game. Unless you're a complete architect loving freak, I don't undertsand why anyone could possibly enjoy this game and not be under the influence of mass narcotics. Where is the fun part? Can anyone tell me!?!? Please?!?!?!?

Do yourself a favor and never buy this game, just download a free minesweeper or solitaire. You'll have so much more fun.

Summary: Great Game
Review: My friend has this game and it is awsome. I have Sim City 3000. I like Maxis they make the best building type sims. I like the scenarios. I recremend Sim City 3000 if you have like 600mhz and a lower amount of RAM. I just got a new Memory card of 320MB of RAM. I now am going to get SC3k Unlimeted. I recremend this game to people with a good processor and RAM chip.

If you liked SC2000 and Classic, you will like this game. I played it and I made a great city in abut 45 min. This is a time taking game. I don't own it but I play it alot. I have sc3k. It is scrached now. When I could play it I would play it for hours. I once played it all night! If you are into sims. You will lose track of time because of the time rate and realism. I forgot if Unlimeted has things about cats robbing banks, I know it does in Sim City 3000.
You if your PC is in like 600Mhz speed and it has about 180 or lower MB of RAM, and you are low on money you should get Sim City 3000, if your PC is better than that, and you have more money you should get Sim City 3000 Unlimited

Summary: Addictive and Creative Game--What a Combination!
Review: How appropriate that this would be my very first game-review on here. I have had SimCity 3000 Unlimited since the third week it was out, and while I go thru my periods of playing/not playing it, I still have all of my cities saved and when I'm in the mood for playing a game that allows me to use my creative abilities, no other game will do (even THE SIMS, which I also have).

I love the fact that there are now over 100 landmark buildings from which to choose, and that you can go to the SimCity Exchange (...)and download new landmark buildings, as well as new regular buildings, new terrains, and practically anything else your heart desires. SimCity 3000 Unlimited is so adaptable that it never ceases to be new and interesting. It is still such an addictive game that when I do play it, it's usually for 3 or 4 hours on end.

The only thing that SimCity 2000 had that this doesn't is the option of installing hydroelectric dams for energy. I don't know why they took that option out of this game. Otherwise, this game is a vast improvement, with 3 different types of architectural styles (Asian, European, and North American) from which to choose, as well as the terrains: Desert, Grassland, Arctic, and several others. The possible combinations are practically limitless.

As I said before, when I'm in the mood for this type of game, nothing else will do. SimCity 3000 Unlimited rocks!!!

Summary: Perfect for the obsessive-compulsive
Review: Ok, so you, like every other person in the world, have played one of the earlier Sim games, and now you are wondering if you should shell out the cash for this one. Well, here's some info.
On the plus side, the graphics are great. Zoomability from far far overhead (aircraft height) all the way to where you can see individual cars. Different kinds of vehicles (police cars or fire trucks during an emergency, different kinds of airplanes), multitudes of different buildings, lots of nice little graphical things on the buildings all add to the experience. Ability to make streets that run on the diagnals, not just NSEW, is very very nice.
The music is every bit as catchy as always.
On the down side: There are only a couple disasters. No monsters. You'll get really tired of seeing the same fire, tornado, earthquake, UFO, whirlpool disasters. Majorly boring in that respect.
Very liniar. Play twice on a similar map, the game will feel pretty much exactly the same.
Too hard, for a lot of people. Too boring to learn, for some.
Despite the many many buildings that _can_ show up, you will very very often wind up with tons of identical buildings. Wheee, talk about boring.
And it gets slow if your computer isn't a monster. I have a decent system, and I can see the lag. Who wants to turn off the music, or turn down the graphics, though? Without those, the game would suck.
If you loved the earlier ones, and you have a powerful system, and are really into obsessive nit-picking detail, buy this. If you aren't one of those people, maybe you should buy someones used copy.
Personally, I play it sometimes, but it could have been better.

Summary: Fun! (But a little repetitive)
Review: This is a great game where you build your own city, make your own laws, and maybe defend (or instigate) it from natural and not so natural disasters.

The graphics and sound are great. (I was Really impressed by the soundtrack!) The game is a classic! It's easy to loose yourself for hours in the experience. However, after building about my 5th city and destroying it I got bored and went outside... I'll be back though!

Summary: Fun game, but have a top-line computer
Review: I have a Pentium 233, and this game runs fine on it, up until I grow my cities to around 100,000 or so. After that, it pretty much crashes. Also, Electronic Arts needs to, in the next version, make it so users can edit the real city terrain (i.e. the Seattle map is WAY TOO SMALL to build on) and also make it so one can build on diagonals rather than strictly with right angles and also build on hills. Make it more like real life.
