Rating: Summary: Lots of fun, but you'd better have a fast computer. Review: I adore SimCity 3000, but I have to admit it can be a frustrating experience on a slower machine. I have a Pentium 233MMX, which admittedly is old, but still well within the System Requirements stated by Electronic Arts. Unfortunately, even with all the animations and processor-hogging options turned off, the game still runs slowly as the city expands. I'm sure it's great on a PII or faster, but sadly the old Pentiums just don't cut it. If you've got a faster machine you'll love it, but people with older machines might want to stick with older versions of SimCity until they upgrade.
Rating: Summary: Not necessarily worth paying for a whole new game! Review: This game is not really worth paying for a hole new game when all you are really getting is an upgrade. As far as playing the game, it is really not very different from Sim City 3000. But still very cool.
Rating: Summary: Can't get up from my computer Review: The best way to rate a game is by how long you will sit and play it. At least for me that is the case. When five hours goes by like nothing and you still are not tired of playing the game, you know you are hooked. This game is in one word awesome. It is a lot more challenging to use than the previous games that I have played. I highly recomend this game to anyone. It is really fun.
Rating: Summary: Always a Cityfan Review: Simcity 3000 Unlimited is currently installed on my computer and continues to please and delight me. The new features have doubtlessly been counted and recounted, I shall not go on with those. I have found all of the new features fun and made the gaming experience more enjoyable, and worth the cost of the upgrade. Giving my city a European and/or Asain flair is delightful, as is being able to manipulate scenarios and buildings. I debated about whether to get this verison, and if you are, I heartily suggest that you go ahead, you won't be disappointed!I have had problems with SC3KU freezing on my computer, however. I didn't have the same issue with S3K, so I can only fault this upgrade, which hasn't been addressed on their website as of yet. Onwards toward SC4K!
Rating: Summary: Oh yea... city building at it's best Review: If you played SimCity 3000, the you'll be familiar with this layout, since it's pretty much an upgrade to that game. New maps, landmarks, buildings, rewards... more of everything! These games are great.. and this one is the best so far! The create your own scenario and building editors are top notch, and there is a wonderful online community to go alone with this game. There's all kinds of cool stuff to be downloaded online... BUY THIS GAME!
Rating: Summary: Save your money! Looks like Maxis squeezed me again! Review: Let me first say, I love Sim City 2000 and 3000. I am one of those guys who waited for 6 years for 3000 to come out. And it was...ok, not great but ok. Maxis had promised all kinds of things like a transportation package that would let you build monorails...where is it? Another thing, this is the 3rd installment-excuse me, 4th installment, and you still see the same buildings over and over again in your city? Oh come on! If you have Sim City 3000, dont spend money on this. Aside from the building creator that you can download and buildings you can also get from others, there really isnt anything new here worth plunking down $. Thumbs down!
Rating: Summary: Great Game; New Features Review: SimCity 3000 Unlimited's game engine is basicly the same as SimCity 3000, but with many more added features that make the game well worth it for previous SimCity fans, and other fans alike. New added Features such as BAT Plus, Scenerios, along with two new building sets that include hundreds of new buildings. Many of these features were highly requested that Maxis finally decided to put in, and all of these which make the replay value so much better.
Rating: Summary: Very Addictive! Review: You'll never leave that rotating computer chair again after you open the SimCity 3000 UNLIMITED package! I have played every Simcity game and loved it because of the new versions that keep being put out and this is another one that has new features such as disasters, scenarios, tyle types, seasons and the Building Architect Tool comes right with it so you can design your own buildings from the smallest park to the Hanging Gardens!
Rating: Summary: Looks VERY promising Review: I have played SimCity 3000 already when I borrowed it from afriend. It was strangely addictive. I mean, I loved it! And from whatI have seen and heard, SC3k Unlimited will be a game I won't regret buying. It is a good thing too that it isn't completely VIOLENCE orriented, as my parents somewhat disagree with that stuff. That said, I can also say that it isn't violence-free. After all, what game is? However, the only violence comes in the form of natural (ahem) somewhat-natural disasters. Such as Aliens dropping glowing-green bombs all over, tornados throwing cars through the air, and giant locusts plaging you sims. But the only REAL violence is when the player himself (or herself) saves their game, opens the disaster menu, and cackles with glee as he or she CALLS down aliens and tornados and locusts. Ya. Well, if you've had any pleasureable experiences with this series, all I can say is that this game is a great way to spend your free time enjoyably controlling a metropolis (with out the first-person exploding heads mayhem)...
Rating: Summary: Don't play it again, Sim Review: It's probably good fun if you haven't seen Simcity 3000. And it's even better if the last thing you played was Simcity 2000. But if you already have Simcity 3000, don't go for it. It's nothing but a cheap relaunch from Maxis - they better think about real game improvements next time, rather than how to squeeze the last drop out of this game.
