Summary: So you wanna be god huh !!
Review: Well here`s your chance to see just what god has to put up with . The fact is i first seen this game in P C GAMER Mag, I thought it would be a childs game, playing with an animal as your side kick as a second god so to speak,.. Well im telling you that this is the best damned game i have ever played, interesting enough to keep you occupied for hours on end and then wondering where the time went, then wanting to have more time to play , but there`s always tomorrow. This game is a spectacular display of grafics for close up`s and distant shots, and eye to eye with your subjects. The story line is grand with feelings put into this game to make you feel >>>> well like a god, you actually feel for the people that you have worshipping you, give your special subjects names and take them along with you on your adventures if you like, or leave them behind and start with a new crew at every new world you go to. The creature that you pick in the begining of the game is an amazing thing that you have to teach certian things to in order for it or him to help you take care of your subjects, and help you influence other villiages for you to get more worshippers. Plus your creature can actually get believers where you cant, no matter what you try, so teach your creature everything you can and he will benefit you greatly ..... The Helps can be a pain in the rear tho , but you can go into the options and stop them almost completely so there is really no problem here,. There are a few places in this game that kinda leaves you wondering what to do next tho but this actually adds to the enjoyment of the game, it makes you use your brain to try to figure out what you have done and what you have`nt done in order to accomplish your goal in the game [and thats to be the supreme god], you`ll encounter beasts that kill and try to take over your villiage but this is where you send in your creature to fight for you, when he wins you feel on top of the world because you help him fight his battle, but he will loose plenty of fights also, but pet him let him know he serves you well , reward him often for the good he does and punish him for the destruction he does, after all your creature has a mind of his own, think im kidding, im not, just follow him around to see what he does on his own sometimes. Black and white is the most involving game i have ever played, it makes you stop and think of the real world on a personal basis, Ive played R P G`S, first person, action games, shooter games quake 1 thru 3. half life, heretic 2, etc none of these comes up or even matches Black and White. My suggestion is to get it, you`ll not be sorry you did, it will keep you up at night till wee hours of the morning then you`ll feelling just awful the next day, but you`ll do it all over again the next night and wonder why you cant leave this game alone. there is much more in this game than what i can tell you here , believe me its full of tricks and turns I just wished i could burn me a copy of this game for a back up cause ill wear it out from playing , Oh one more thing you`ll need a good pc to play this game right without slow downs it has a lot of video and memory hogging grafics but dont let that stop you from getting this game, it`ll still work on a 128 megs memory , im running 768 megs mem with a radeon 64 meg video card,plus a 52x cd rom, i have no problem at all but i built this pc strictly for gamming. Summary: Ignore the professional reviewers and buy something else
Review: This game has been tremendously hiped by the professional reviewers and I would, indeed, like to have the game live up to the reviews. It doesn't. The game is unusual and that makes it interesting at first. But it soon becomes tedious trying to make headway in it with the difficult mouse interface and trying to keep all of the villagers happy. The manual is extremely shallow considering all of the fine nuances to the game. At least an indepth online manual should have been included with the game. Perhaps the most vexing part of the game, though, is it constantly crashes on the two systems on which I have run it (A dell and an HP, both with 128 meg of memory). This is despite installing the latest upgrades and shutting down everything else on the systems when I run it. If the game ran well, I would be more willing to learn all the nuances of the game and perhaps enjoy it. If you are looking for a very unusual and indepth game, consider this one after the bugs are worked out and then only buy it with a second party manual.

Summary: Great game but...
Review: I am enjoying playing Black and White a lot. There are a few bugs that will be fixed by the new patch of 7/10/01 but we shall see. The most annoying part is the Good and Evil guys that appear EVERY time you play the game. I appreciated them the first time because they gave Sage-like wisdom on how to get started. After that...they ticked me off! The controls are also frustrating. Most of the movement is with the mouse and a lot of practice, at least on my part, was needed to gain good control of my people and animal. Aside from these facts I do love the game and would recommend it to everyone!

Summary: Could have been great, but...
Review: This game could have been awesome. The graphics are cool and playing with the the creature is fun. But Village management is a freakin' nightmare. Talk about micromanagement. I spent more than 3/4 of my time taking care of whining villagers getting food and wood. Very distracting and aggravating when I'd have rather played with the creature. Especially frustrating is the way the campaign messes with the creature. This takes away the only good part of the game and left me spending my time doing more village management. Ahhh!!!!

Review: I bought this game, hoping to go home and play it. But no after I finished installing it, and started my game, I ran into numerous bugs and gliches. This game looked so promising, but it turned out to just be a horrid experience and a waste of my money. I gave it two stars for the great concept. Really is a cool idea for a game. Bottom line though don't waste your money on this game.

Summary: Great if you want no social life.
Review: Electronic Arts had really outdone themselves this time with the creation of Black and White - but the game is very long and mildly redundant. The game play is rather original, and if you have a good computer with at least a 32mb video card, you can see some really decorative graphics. If you want to own this game to play once in a while (or for multiplayer LAN) then that's fine, but don't buy this game if you plan on beating it in a week or two (or a month at that). Bottom line: Fun game, very original, but I just didn't have the attention span to make it through the long haul.

Review: Did you like Creatures? What about Dungeon Keeper? How about Settlers? Oh, and don't forget Civilization. This game seems to have the very best elements from SO many of my favorite games! It's amazingly addictive... I can't get enough of it! So what will your creature be? Are YOU a blessing... or a curse?

Review: I really don't know why people would give this game only one or two stars!? Maybe they play too much shoot em' up games. I think Black and White is one of the best games I have played in the last two years. Graphics are cool and the gameplay is easy to handle. It's fun watching your creature helping people and growing to an gigantic titan. You should at least give it a try!

Summary: your creature needs a poo
Review: This box should carry a large warning saying "unsuitable for people over 12 years old". I've given it 2 out of 5 simply because the graphics are quite good. In every other way it is an irritating and frustrating game, as well as being patronising, inane, bland and "twee" in the extreme. I wish I hadn't wasted any money on it.
