Summary: Black and White is a waste of time
Review: I recieved this game as a gift and all I can tell you is that I have spent more time trying to get it running than playing it. Started out okay, was able to play to Land #2, then the game crashed. Went to the website, and noticed that there was a patch. I followed the directions and downloaded and since then have not been able to get it running. ... Don't take my word for it, check it out. The only thing that I have to say, is that as much as I wanted this game, I really wish that I hadn't gotten it.

Summary: A Christmas Let Down
Review: I was really looking forward to this game. When I started playing I was upset with the graphics and the controls. For all the hype you would think the graphics would be a bit better. When you have to move around the screen, it's a lot of right click, left click, but only if the mouse is in the right spot to have the right symbol show up. It is hard to explain, until you see it. So since Christmas day, my game has been in it's box not being played. If you really want this game, go see a friend who has it first.

Summary: Fun Game
Review: Fun game to play. Buy it, because it's cheap, and the graphics are good. Sorta hard to play if you aren't an intense gamer, other than that, all around good game. Possible 2002 Game of the Year? We'll see.

Summary: BUY A NEW COMPUTER!
Review: There's a reason a lot of people are having trouble with this game- it's new! Meanwhile, the reviewer is typically running a three year old computer with parts that weren't very top-of-the line at the time (a Vodoo card? Give me a break. Spend the cash and buy a GeForce) I liken these reviewers to people who are complaining that their BetaMax player won't take DVD's.
I have a laptop (a NEW laptop, just to repeat my point) with an 8mb video card, and this game plays fine.
I like the lack of hotkeys and all that nonsense. If there's nothing else I hate more in a game, it's getting my butt kicked while I'm looking up stupid hotkeys.
The creature AI is pretty much cause/effect, but if you think about it, that's the same way the real animals work. (After all, how smart do you expect a giant cow to be?) However, through cause/effect, the creature will eventually learn to/not do something.
The graphics are very good, although not the best I've ever seen. They add imensly to the game (the fireball effect is especially cool).Above all else, though, I like the controls. They are very different from anything else I've ever played. As I mentioned earlier, I am running B&W on my laptop, so playing games with the keyboard can be tedious (as some keys that would make gameplay easy on a dekstop have been moved or taken away), so anything that lets me play a game with a mouse is a plus. Now that the price for this game has dropped, I would especially reccomend buying it.

Summary: A great thinking person's game
Review: When you need a break from the hack & slash genre of games that are all over the place in PC gaming, I highly recommend putting on a pot of coffee and firing up Black & White. The non-linear style of play makes discovering the island a ton of fun, and never the same twice. The concept of the creature is unique, as are the things you can teach it to do. (you'd be surprised, believe me).
5 stars for sure. Just be sure you have some PC horsepower, you'll need it.

Review: This is a fairly good game. You play the God of a group of islands and decide why they worship you:
- Because you are good and give them anything they need
or
- Because you destroy them if they don't.
You also have to choose a creature which you have to train. The way how you train it will decide whether is will be good or evil.
If you always wanted to have absolute power, this is your chance: BUY IT!!!

Summary: This game is awesome
Review: This game starts off really good telling you all the controls and some shortcuts so you dont have to spend hours in the manual before you play. The best thing about the game is that you can choose if you want to be evil or if you want to be a loving god. The graphics are really awsome and when u become evil how the sky changes and the tower changes with the cursor which is a shape of a hand. The creatures are really cool with awsome AI. You get to choose from a tiger a cow or a bull which really is a hard choice. The creature gets leashes each one with a different ability and you can teach the creature tricks or how to do certain stuff. The first level is easy which is to open a gate and find hidden secrets and get the town to believe in you. That is probably one of the hardest things to do in a game but there are many things you can do to help them have faith in you. The second level is cool because you have to get rid of a god and his creature. You get to use miracles to help you accomplish and you have another god helping you. The game gets really addicting and you will not want to stop. I havent got passed the second level for I just recently purchased it. My only thing to tell you is to buy it. For nineteen ninety nine that is a really good deal.

Review: This is the funnest game i've ever played. The graphics are OK, but once you got into it you wont care. I've been playing it for the last two days staight. I took off one star for these people who tell how to do things, but they dont do it for long.
