Rating: Summary: A Must!!! Review: I know there have been previous releases of the Sims that have turn out to be useless [stuff] that you didn't really need. Well, this expansion pack is a must. You can have animals, and my favorite part, your neighborhood becomes much bigger. There are shops in your neighborhood you can go to, without having to go downtown. The expansion pack is big. If you have previous installments of other expansion packs, then maybe you should increase your ram to 128MB. The only noticeable accessory that actually made me happy is the "spiral stairs." I'm not big on accessory. Just get on the internet and download something. Overall, I think this game will be a cherished addition.
Rating: Summary: PETS, PETS, PETS! Review: This is the best game I have ever tried! It's so cool! The pets are super cool, and going to town is so much fun, all the shops are really cool, and the animals are really fun to take care of. I definately suggest this game to anyone who enjoyed playing The Sims. I have The Sims Deluxe Edition, and I think this game adds a lot more fun to it. It is the coolest game yet! Again, I really sugest you get it!
Rating: Summary: If only I knew... Review: I got this expansion pack for my birthday. It took a month to finally get it installed properly. Two calls to "techinical support" were absolutely worthless. How did I get the game to install and the old game information to come forward into this expansion pack? I couldn't tell you. I think it was just luck. It was definitely not anything I was told by tech support to do.The animals in this game are adorable. But, once this game is installed and working, the whole gaming experience of the Sims changes. What was fun before has now become tedious. You spend way too much time trying to maintain the gains you worked for prior to installing Unleashed. In fact, since installing the game, I find I don't explore the new features much. I keep going back to those elements of the Sims from Hot Date which I recommend whole-heartedly. Would I suggest anyone to buy this expansion pack? Nope. I have a friend who bought it and he never could get it to work. He gave up on it. The store would not allow him to return it so he now has a copy he doesn't use. The Sims is a fun game. Unleashed should have had more work on it before it was released on an unsuspecting public. Play The Sims. Don't buy Unleashed.
Rating: Summary: GOIN' PET MAD! Review: When I first played on Sims Unleashed I was quite shocked about how much fun it was.You get to choose from 5 types of pets such as Cats,Dogs,Birds,Turtles and Lizards. Also you get to take your Sims down town which includes Cafes,Parks, the market and the shops ,not just that, you can also CREATE THEM YOURSELF!Sims Unleashed is LOADS of FUN.IT'S THE MUST GET GAME OF THIS YEAR!
Rating: Summary: UNLEASHED!!! Review: Unleashed is one of the best expansion packs for the Sims!!! You can get a dog, cat, bird, fish, turtle, or lizard. Now let me tell you, on the box, there is a picture of a poodle. There are NO poodles in the game, so don't be dissapointed if you are a poodle lover. Also, there are many new social reactions in this game, and they're not only to pets. One pro is: When you call for a coach bus to go to Old Town, it doesn't cost anything!!! Now, about Old Town: Old Town is the NEW and IMPROVED neighborhood that your sims now live in!! Were you tired of only having 10 lots in one neighborhood? Well now, there's about 25!! Maybe even 30!! Buy this!! I guarentee you will be pleased!!
Rating: Summary: I can be anyone I want to be!!!! Review: I have become addicted to The Sims from the very first Sims game! I have every one of them, and will continue to purchase any expansion packs that are out there. This is a game that gives you COMPLETE control over everything! You decide what your house looks like, what your people look like, the names and personalities. You decide if they get a job, or bum around and live in a trashy house. There are literally millions of downloads out there on the net that will enhance your play. Most simulation games allow you only partial control, The Sims allows you to completely and totally control what your people do. I also believe it teaches a bit of responsibility, if you play the game right. People have to take care of their children, get a job and pay the bills. If these things are not taken care of, then there are consequences to this. I love this game, and play it almost every day. But then, I'm a geek with no life!! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: *+*A GOOD GAME TO BUY, IF YOU HAVE A COUPLE EXTRA BUCKS *+* Review: HERE IS THE SCOOP: PERSONALLY I LOVE IT, YOU CAN ADOPT ALL KINDS OF PETS, AND OWN TONS OF STORES BUT IT TAKES A VERY LONG TIME TO LOAD, EVEN ON MY NEW COMPUTOR! IT TAKES SO LONG TO ADOPT THE PETS AND TO GET THE SIMS TO TRANSFER TO DIFFERENT PLACES. IT IS KIND OF A WASTE OF MONEY, I HAVE ALL OF THEM BUT I THINK I SHOULD OF ON aMERICAN iDOL!
Rating: Summary: Good but not great Review: I loved the Sims when they first came out. I played all the time (OK, so I didn't have kids then) and couldn't get enough. However, my favorite part of the Sims games has always been creating the people and building the houses. I loved the Livin' Large expansion, because it added all sorts of new fun things for the houses and character building. I sort of got bored by Hot Date, though - as with several other reviewers, it really slowed down the game on my computer. I also wish Maxis would do something about the time/need factor when you go downtown or to Old Town - don't plan on going to work after a date or a shopping spree. That said, Unleashed is fun! I said early on - probably with the original game - "Why don't they have pets?" The pets are cute, very helpful for social needs, and also a lot of fun to play with. The vegetable garden is also kind of fun. If you grow the veggies, then store them in a "pantry", your Sims eat for free! There are still more new items, skins, wallpaper, etc., which I love because that's my favorite part of the game. I also like that there are tons more houses/lots for each neighborhood - more to build! If you like Hot Date, you'll love the Old Town portion of this expansion. I only give it four stars because of the slowness of the game, and the fact that I personally don't enjoy the shopping/dating portion of the game quite so much.
Rating: Summary: Best and Poor! Review: I would like to say that when The Sims come, I got it and install it into my PC. It speed is normal for me. I only got max. 9fps for this. Then, I got the expansion pack Living Large. I am only got 5fps on it. House Party --- 4fps Hot Date --- (normal) 3fps (downtown) 0.1fps Vacation --- (Not available on my computer yet!) This expansion --- 1 fps so what I am know is my Cyrix MII 300 is not yet for this game. What i hope is not its graphics but PERFORMANCE! Since its graphics is good. I rate it was a BEST game but also got its bad.
Rating: Summary: Too many expansion packs! Review: The first two or three Sims games were AMAZING. I totally loved them, playing until all hours of the night. But when they started releasing all these new expansion packs, and I got each one as it came out, my computer had some digestion problems, so to speak. Now, it takes about fifteen minutes to load the game, and at least twenty to go to Vacation Island, Old Town, etc. When I'm in any of those places, my Sims move jerkily, and the screen jumps around. If I try to scroll too fast, the game either crashes or goes in slow motion. It takes my Sims at least three game hours to do anything, so I have to wake them up at 12 midnight if I hope to get them to school. All in all, I'd say to stay small and avoid all these fancy expansion packs! The pets aren't that great, and you could grow vegetables with downloads already!
