Summary: This is THE expansion of Civ 3
Review: I am really glad I've gotten Conquers. This is the real expansion for Civilization 3 and not Play the World (which is also included in the CD by the way).

It has many new nations, like Mayas or Incas, new Wonders of the World (now the whole 7 wonders, like Zeus statue, are in), new cultural types (seafaring and agricultural), new units and many other things.

Remember that you need to have previously installed Civ 3 before playing the game.

Overall, if you are a fan of Civilization game series, this is a piece of collection you should not miss.

Summary: awesome expansion for civ addicts
Review: I have never regretted buying Conquests the day it came out, even though I see now I could have saved $20 by waiting. The seven included scenarios are incredible, and each requires new thinking -- in the Mesoamerican scenario, for example, you can settle on mountains, and your javelin throwers can "enslave" the enemy, converting a defeated warrior into a worker. There are new mines to build and treasures to transport in the Age of Discovery, and you win by building ancient wonders in the ancient Mesopotamian scenario. Some of these changes are in the epic game (new wonders, new civs), but most are specific to the Conquest scenarios. There are a couple of bugs but gameplay is incredibly addicting for anyone who already finds they spend too much time trying to build one more Immortal so the Persians can kill those pesky Hoplites and destroy Greece... again.

Summary: Already Disappointed
Review: I must say that from reading the reviews and advertising for the game that Im already disappointed even though I havent played the expansion. Most of the 'features' could, and have, been done already. Anyone who has played the fantastic 'Test of Time' map will know what I mean (Im not sure where I got it from originally, I think its a free download, try google). The Civ 3 Test of Time map has many new civilizations, including Incas, Israelis, Songhai and Tibetans. The map also has features mentioned in the advertising for this expansion, such as tobacco as a trade good. The new city specialists and government types might make things a bit different, but I dont think Ill bother.

Summary: IT CAN BE DONE!!!
Review: I've been playing CIV III PTW since day one and I don't know where these people are getting you have to play "conquer the world" to win the game. I've won several games by being the first in space (it does depend a lot on how you play the diplomacy game, if you say you are going to do something with a race and then stab them in the back, yes, you can expect war quite often because the AI is not forgiving and when you LIE once, thas all folks hehe). Oh sure you have your wars, but, you don't have to conquer anyone, just a couple of hits to their cities and usually they are ready to make peace. Then you just continue on until you create your spaceship and fly away from it all. I've had games where I sat right in the middle of two major powers, but, because of my diplomacy and SHARING, they never attacked me, cause I played nice ;) Conquests is no different, though I do wish the elements of Conquest were ALL added to the origional game, but, still if you like scenarios, you will like Conquests. Let's face it if you are CIV fan, this is just another one of those MUST HAVE's. And remember if you want a good non-conquer game, learn how to play diplomacy. ;) There's a game within this game, you just have to figure out how it works, those that can't seem to win by any other means that conquer, just don't know how to play. ;)

Summary: Fun, but some major disappoinments, still buy it though!
Review: This game is fun, but some things are wrong with it. New wonders and city improvements don't appear on the bird'seye view. They have the little pictures on the display and still take affect, but the feeling of seeing them in your city is something needed. Perhaps they can make a patch to fix this. Also no new luxery or strategic resources in the regular game. In scenarios yes, but not in standard play. Some things that need to be added are WWII in Europe and the civilization of the Hebrews. The Hebrews did a lot of big things too. Moreso than the Carthaginians or the Ottomans. The volcanoes should be on the making the world screen. You should be able to pick the amount of volcanic activity on your planet. The new units and stuff are cool though. The game is fun though.

Summary: A worthy expansion to an amazing series.
Review: This expansion is an amazing addition to the Civilization series, and makes the best game to date far better! It makes up for the Play the World expansion, and includes all the additions (except for maps) in that expansion. Well worth a pruchase if you're into games of this type, you will not be disapointed! If you don't have Civ III the core game, get it. Conquests is a masterpiece. Prepare to be addicted.

Summary: A Good Game
Review: This is a great expanison pack to Civ3, with many new features, including 9 professionally designed "Conquests" (scenarios), which feature many civs and units from history...

The only part of this game that I was disapointed in was that there are *some* bugs (errors) in the game...

Overall, this is a great game for all gamers...

Summary: Dissapointment
Review: Pros: self explanatory(see description). The conquests are very interesting, especially WW II in the pacific.

Cons: Not enough conquest scenarios. *World War II scenario in Europe is NOT included in this expansion.* This is unfortunate since it was included as a free conquest option in Civ 2.

Summary: No Second Disc From Amazon or Atari
Review: I,ve received Civ Conquests from Amazon. Where's the second disc as promised by Atari? My experience with Amazon has always been excellent so I suspect Atari blew it! The game is OK. Will Atari ever make their offer good?
