Summary: I agree with the others...
Review: Vacation is not the best expansion pack. I've gotten very bored with going on vacation, I can't remember the last time I even sent my Sims there. My game takes AGES to load!! I can leave, run an errand, come back and it's still just Calculating the Exchange Rate! I love Hot Date on the other hand, it's wonderful. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on Vacation and maybe just waited around for Unleashed or Sims Online. There are some nice things about the game, more objects, more options, but in all honesty this is not the best expansion pack. If you must have it (even if it will slow up the load time) borrow it.

Summary: Won't play on Windows 2000
Review: I could not get any of the sims games to play on Windows 2000 when I went from Windows 98. Perhaps "Hot Date" will solve the problem -- but until then...

Summary: Concering "The Sims" and all expansions...
Review: Absolutly addicting!!! One of only a select few role-playing games I've actually liked. Would highly recommend to anyone who has too much free time on their hands!

Summary: Not as Good as the First Two Expansion
Review: I have all the expansion to The Sims, and probably will continue to get them even though I rarely play the game. I feel Sim Vacation was not as good as the first two expansion. I stopped playing it because it took too long to load the vacation spots. I didn't even what to go to different vacation spots because each time you did it took awhile for it to load. It also didn't have many new things as the first two expansions. I don't regret getting the expansion, but I did lose interest quicker with this expansion then with the previous ones.

Summary: Vacation is possible anytime of the Year!
Review: This game is really worth the (money). You get sooo many new items for downtown (Hot Date) and community (Unleashed) areas!!! It really is the best!! So, i think it's worthwhile and if you're a hardcore gamer, buy this now and ignore all other reviews!

Summary: Actually worth yet another expansion pack
Review: The Sims seems to be churning out endless expansion packs now. But this one is, yet again, very cool and worth having. The new parent-kid interaction resolves the farce of the kids having to make friends with their parents and not having specified parents, just sort of responsible adults. It also further develops being able to put Sims in environments other than their home, which was made by Hot Date. Worth having.

Summary: Second Worst Sims Expansion
Review: I rather dislike this expansion. I own all four expansions for the PC Sims, and this is one of my least favorites. Personally, I don't think the addition of vacation mode adds much to the game after Hot Date, since vacation mode seems just like downtown, but slightly modified. Also, most of the new items are only available in vacation mode or are heavily themed to the vacation aspect, which, like I said, isn't very good. So, if you're a big Sims fan and are trying to collect all the expansions or something, or just think that your sims need a vacation, you should buy this. But for the rest of you, I'd either wait for the price to drop more, or just not buy it.

Summary: Great Game...But...
Review: I don't know what it is about my computer...maybe it's just old, but I don't have very much space. I don't recommend this game to people with older computers, because 700 MG is an awful lot!

Now, on to the reviews:

Pros
- You get an extra neighborhood AND (get this) the jobs promised in Livin' Large (paranormal, journalist, hacker, slacker and musician)
- Kids can now officialy kick people, hug complete strangers (yes, that means the dreaded Marky the Sharky, Archie Archer and Betty Yeti) and behead snowmen as well as completely pulverise sandcastles
- Parents can scold their kids, greet people in different ways and more than I can just name
- There's too many items to count (igloo, carnival games, buffet table, and, (just like Hot Date) public washrooms *_*)

Cons
-I don't know if it's my game or what, but the people appear in one place, and then another like they are in 2nd speed, not first, so you can't watch all the fun little parts like snowboarding and the waterslide
-It takes 68 tickets to win something at the carnival
-People enter your Sim's hotel rooms, use the washroom while your Sim is bathing and not flush. Then the janitor gets stuck in the doorway between Betty the Yeti (who is trying to entertain your sleeping child) and the personal-space invanding Sim.
-It loads veeeeeerrrrry slooooooooow
-Your Sims get cranky very easily, and tired too. They get bored in minutes of playing water balloon fights

Sorry about the long lecture, but I just want to tell you that Vacation's Fun, but I'd wait for 'The Sims Unleashed' if I were you.
