Summary: Speed Issues? Crashes? I don't know anything about that...
Review: You know, I've read quite a few of the reviews on here, and I just don't agree at all. I love this game. The graphics are great, and the gameplay mechanics are incredibly detailed. I remember way back when you could put all your schools in a row in one corner of the city and it would serve the whole populace. Not so in SimCity 4. As for the people who are having trouble with speed and crashes, I'm very sorry. Maybe you just need to tweak your computer. I'm only running a P3 500 MHz with 224MB RAM and a 64MB GeForce2 with Windows2000. Yes, it may be running a mite slowly at times, but it's still very playable.

Summary: 4 = great
Review: this game is fun, if you have alot of time on your hands. Its a pretty difficult game, and i wouldn't recommend it for little kids; mainly because of the difficulty. If the kids want to destroy citys then i guess that would be fun for them. I got this game after owning the previous versions, and i didn't know how to play it. I now know that the only way to make your city big is to creat alot of residential, and a little business, then bunch of factorys around your pwer plant. Its also a very good idea to keep your polution creating things near the edge of the screen since pollution doesn't transfer over to the other citys. I have yet to creat a thriving metropolas but i'm getting there, and i don't really have patience so that is also a problem. I'm really learning alot about citys, and stuff its pretty cool

I highly recommend the strategy guide that goes with this, strategy guide should have been the manual in my oppinion.

Summary: WHAT??
Review: This game wasn't good at all! Maybe if it wouldn't crash so much I would have loved it. Did they put it out too early or something? This game truly isn't good. OR fun. Okay, I play the regular sims like HD(hotdate) and SS(superstar) and so on, and maybe I'm just comparing them. But I didn't like Simcity 4. I thought it would be great. And my mom and dad wasted $50.00 on this stupid game! And we couldn't get a refund! What a waste of money. I wouldn't risk buying this game! It kept freezing!! And I got bored with it right when we just got the game. So, you'll get bored easily. Very easily. boring!

Summary: disappointing
Review: The graphics are beautiful, but the game is really boring. It was a real disappointment when I bought the game. I really regret buying the game. I've read other (bad) customer reviews, but I thought they are wrong. They are not. Save money,do not buy this game! It is really hard to get any money. Everything is really expensive. Just buying a school and the budget turns into minus. It goes with everything, i.e. police station, electricity, hospitals etc.
You have to save money, but that's really a problem, because when you save on public safety, the crime rate goes up, or when you save on hospitals, the employees are going on strike.

Summary: Urban Madness!
Review: Sim City 4 is a giant world of ongoing fun. I start playing at 4:00, and "10 minutes" later it's 7:00! You can control the landscape too! Sure it takes time (and hard work) to build a giant city, but you should expect that from a reality company like Maxis. The true greatest "create-your-own" game of all time.

Summary: This game is pretty good!
Review: I think this is the best game of the series so far. Sim City 4 is a pretty good game, the thing you do in this game is you creating a big city (metropolis) and just building apartments, bus stopes, aiports, bridges, another words you are a mayor who controlls the whole city, and you trying to breath the life into it, you trying to build people everything you need for life, to go to work, to have water, to build everything they need. In this game you have to pay loans, and the more people and population you have the more income you get. You can lower your expanses or for example raise the taxes and the population (people) will go down and people will start going and moving away from your city. This game you can build a lot of things fro your city, you can build houses, or hi-apartments, or even Empire State Building or even Hollywood letters located in California. But the thing I dont like about this game, that you can see where your city ends, when you minimize your city you can see like a big square. Thats the only thing I dont like about this game. And rememebr if you will buy it, it will be really hard for you, because it is a hard game. And never use cheats for this game because, if you will do it once your money that you bought the game for will just go away, and the game will not be fun for you anymore! I hope this review helped you!

Summary: Beautiful graphics... but unplayable
Review: I'm a huge Sim City fan. This game starts out with a bang and looks beautiful. However, even on my 1-year-old desktop, the game virtually crawls to a halt after only 10 minutes of development. Scrolling takes at least 30 seconds, zooming in or out takes even longer -- unless it locks up entirely.

Does the game really need working traffic lights, packs of wild animals, construction workers, and all the other bells and whistles that make it look breathtaking, but ultimately unplayable? I think the developers have gotten carried away with the graphical capabilities.

PS -- I've installed the patch from the manufacturer's website that's intended to fix this problem. The improvement is noticable, but the game is still slow and unenjoyable. I've uninstalled it and re-installed SimCity 3000.

Summary: The GOOD Sim City 4 Review
Review: I think this is a great game, as long as you know where to find some good cheats to help you get some money. but beides money trouble, this game is excellent just as long as you find the topic fun

Summary: Sim City 4 - Disappointing
Review: It wouldn't run on a high end Dell Notebook. I did get it to run on a two year old Dell Notebook. It is difficult to learn and seems to have many useless features like putting wild life into terrains who run around for about a minute and disappear. Control of the terrain is almost impossible because you can control individual blocks. I finally gave up in despair and gave the game away.
