Rating: Summary: Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet Review: This gamae looks so cool. The disasters look cool, the buildings look cool. The whole game looks cool. I can't wait until it comes out. If you linke SimCity 3000, you'll love SimCity 4.
Rating: Summary: Looks Pretty Good Review: After looking at all these screenshots this game looks 1 million times better than SimCity 3000. You have a new terrain carving tool which alows you to sculpt cliffs, hills, gorges and valleys. You have fog, night and day, volcanoes, floods, mudslides, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, snow and different building types, A 1850's Chicago style, A 1950 New York style and a 2000 Houston style. From the looks of it it looks great!!
Rating: Summary: Impossibly hard, but slightly rewarding Review: First off, this was a ... mleh game. This is a extremely complex game. The farthest i've gone without cheats is about 5 min. The traffic is absurd, subways are beyond expensive, trains and buses placed in the most congested areas only recieve 10% usage at most. The buildings look great and all the graphics are amazing, but the difficulty is beyond anything. SC3000 was a simpler and more addicting.SC4 is still addicting, but the frustration you will recieve trying to balance the budget is too much. BUT, if you pass all that, (i have managed that once), the difficulty gets even harder, powerplants either take up too much space or are too expensive, the budget gets extremly fragile, schools and hospitals overflow once built. But the rewards to see the cities bloom are great. My record pop. is 128,923. Is low for what i see, skyscrapes offices are not enough to get a mil. But still try the game you might get lucky.
Rating: Summary: best sim city title yet and more to come Review: it was one of my first CD roms because i always download demos and games of the intenet.i got it because it was my sisters birthday my dad went to buy gifts and didnt want me to feel left out so got me Simcity i love it . Yet its a tiny bit hard to keep your money up.
Rating: Summary: SimCity 4 Review: After having spent months thinking and pondering whether or not I should buy this I finally did and guess what it was so lame. I was so disapointed in it that I finished playing after just a couple of hours and will not play it again. Thank goodness that I wait and it was in the bargain bin for games. Since otherwise I might feel totally like I bought the pig in the sack. They need to do allot of things for sim city 5 to make this disapointing game to get any better. It was ok and therefore 3 stars, but I expected so much more and was left feeling slightlty dejected and very disapointed.
Rating: Summary: Its a hard game! Especially with the money... Review: This is a game where you need a lot of time and thinking to suceed in. I have tried evrything to get money nohting works. I cheated constantly to build up my city till I could get enough out of my citizens taxes, had casinos, toxic waste sites ect. even only had 1 school and hospital for the entire city and made tons of deals with my neighbours. BUT STILL im losing money!!! I dont get it! But a good way of making money is doing different things on different neighbourhoods. Like a residetial 1 connected to a commerial 1 and thats connected to an industial 1. Swap deals get money, the folks jobs arent far away and everyone's happy. Sort of. The residential lot is the hardest obviously. You need hospitals, schools, libarys, police and firestations, parks and so on.. The easiest 1 I think is commercial. Get a couple of landmarks make sure you have lots of big roads connecting to the residential and industrial lots and hey presto a massive commercial buissnes boom with tons of money. Its a good game but if it was that little bit easier in the budgets especially it would be worth playing that little bit longer.
I wiped it off my system cause it took alot of memory of my computer. Now its being lent to my cuzin, and im playing the sims 2 which has a bit of simcity in it which is quite cool. If you had Simcity 4 and The Sims 2 both installed on your pc you can make your own neighbourhood in the sims 2 but both installed at the same time would just be toooo much for my old computer!
Rating: Summary: So So Game:( Review: I bought this game because I saw screenshots of it on amazon. It has fantastic graphics and wonderful sound but there are some set backs:
1.Extremely hard to make money
2.Services cost a lot of money monthly
3.Very Very Very slow on even the best computers
4.There is no unlimited money cheat like on SimCity 2000
5.No job zots drive me insane!
So overall only a so so game. Not worth the 39.99 I had to pay to buy it!:(
Rating: Summary: simcity is going backwards Review: what can i say ,at first i was excited about this game but as soon as i started playing it i new i was going to load simcity 3000 back on.the graphics are great but what really is stupid is how hard it is to make any money ,ive tried everything lowering on funding on all services, making toxic waste dumps nothing works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you cant really get any deals with your neighboors as you have to make your own and all this gets confusing.what went wrong?if only they had improved on some things and left the [other] things for example the budget problems.if they had changed only the graphics and the rewards etc this would have got a 5/5
Rating: Summary: Good Game But I Bought It For Too Much Review: This is a good game. The graphics are wonderful and the ideas are good. It's one of those games in which you need to spend time. Unfortunately I bought it for too much. I purchased the game for $40.00. It was not worth the price. Because it's now $20.00 i would buy it.
Rating: Summary: One of the best games I'd already played Review: Sim City 4 (and its expansion pack Rush Hour) are very cool! Simply amazing. I was also a Sim City 3000 fanatic and I was expecting much about the new release. Well, it was better than I thought it would be. The graphics are astonishing and the entertaiment given by hours planning and developing your cities are incredible. This game also offers a much higher challenge, one of the main problems in SC3000 was already solver, that was that it was relatively easy to build a city and develop. Nope, in SC4 you must have complete control over the budget. I see some small problems, like the size of your cities (why we not have the option to size the cities in a region in a new region?), the high price of the game, some things could be added to the game and, mainly, the necessity of a super-computer to play the game (512mb RAM recommended if you are playing in a big city with more than 300 thousand inhabitants), but sure the game its worth all these problems. Having patience and caution in planning your city, you won't regret the fact that you spent hours, days, weeks, even months to do a big and nice city.
