Rating: Summary: Both adults and children love this game! Review: I have a great time playing this game! The visuals are awesome and it follows the format for the real Family Feud. Granted it is not perfect and there are a few bugs to work out, but it is one of my best games to play alone or with my family. It's fun creating your own family with the several skin, eye, and hair color options. You can even make your family member thin or plus size! Everyone in my family enjoy playing this game, even the younger ones (I type in their answers for them). It's a great way to pass time when you are bored or feeling playful.
Rating: Summary: Family Feud Review: I have almost all of the Hasbro Interactive game show and board show games, and this one I can tell is going to become addictive. The only problem is that there seems to be a lot of waiting time in between typing your responses. I mean, do we have to flash back to Louie Anderson every 5 seconds to see him turn around and point to the board or pop onto your screen to say "Alright!"? The graphics are so-so, I think most people prefer playing with real-life people, as with the old Sony versions of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy before Hasbro "remade" them. As usual, the family responses are cheesy, but that's how game shows are, so what else can you expect? The funniest aspect to this is that most of the time the videos of Louie are slow so they have more of a stop-start effect to it, and you catch Louie's animated self with some pretty hilarious facial expressions or movements. The questions are fairly challenging, but like the above viewer noted, you need to be specific with your responses or STRIKE! Also, what is the deal with 50s-sounding male/female role questions like: What do men expect when they come home from work? Some responses were: dinner, a beer, a kiss. Um WhatEVER. Still, it's fun and I'm beginning to like Louie a lot more than I thought I would. I have yet to win a fast money round session but hopefully that will change soon, as I've only played it about 5 times. Buy this game, you'll enjoy it and laugh the first couple of times you play it.
Rating: Summary: Fun but not without glitches Review: I love playing family feud. I love watching it on TV (preferably with Richard Dawson) or at uproar.com. I have been tempted to buy the handheld Tiger version of the game but when I found out it was coming out as a pc game I waited. I can't say that I am disappointed but there are glitches. For example, I typed in phone and it didn't give it to me even though telephone ended up being an answer. In other words, it doesn't always catch a smilar word or phrase and so you get a strike. On another note, you can't skip the transition between rounds...when Louie looks at the scores. The player voices get cut off...even though they don't say much other than "cool" or "alright". You can change the level of competition but medium is pretty challenging. I was worried that Louie would be annoying, but it isn't so bad. The choices of families/characters isn't too exciting but the descriptions are pretty good. Overall, I give it a good rating. I have played it several times and have not encountered the same survey yet (out of like 1500). And if no one answers it correctly, they skip it and move on to a new question.
Rating: Summary: Survey says ----- Boooooo Review: I was pretty disappointed. The big install had me expecting a lot, but they spent way too much on the appearance of Louie and the animation as it is just like you were watching tv, but your not, so don't. They needed to pay more attention to the answers you make, meaning they need to know you know the answer when you answer police and the correct answer is police officer, give me a break. It is slow between transitions like the others say, and the only thing I can tell you different from the rest is "save your $20". ....brizz
Rating: Summary: Survey Says... Number 1 Answer Review: It is just so amazing how many flaws game shows have had when they become computer games and video games. The gameplay really isn't as fun or exciting as the reality of the actual game show itself. Not always in this particular case. With some game shows, they have to really seem to fit the right key. That right key came with Family Feud and Louie Anderson. Although Louie is no longer the host of Family Feud, and Richard Karn of Home Improvement fame is, Louie brought a realistic sense of humor that blended in uniquely and to the fullest sense of the survey. With Family Feud for the P.C., you get a choice from 5 families to choose from to play for the big bucks. But, if you aren't satisfied with those families, you can always make your own family with the create a family option. The game is exactly the same as Louie used to host the feud. Still, he seems a little mild-mannered during the game, but shows a better sense of humor at the end, with a little dance he pulls to say goodbye. Otherwise, the game also includes several other features to the mix, including a question level difficulty, and a adjustable time limit on all questions. Still, unlike some game show hosts, Louie looks a little more realistic than the actual contestants. That is really no surprise there. The game also includes something that really isn't in the box, fun. This is actually fun. I just still don't understand that when it comes to game shows making it for the P.C. there are always flaws. When it comes to Wheel Of Fortune, all you see is Vanna and no Pat Sajak. When it comes to Millionaire, it seems more like the newer version without Regis Philbin. When Pyramid was released in 2001, the game really wasn't like the actual game show. Unlike those game shows, Family Feud hits it exactly right. If you're a fan of the Family Feud and you have a computer, get it for the P.C. You will have a good time with it.
Rating: Summary: this game is awesome Review: Playing this game is more fun than watching it on tv. the competition is tough and the graphics are awesome. i enjoyed this and im sure you will as well
Rating: Summary: Simple, But Fun Review: The makers of Family Feud tried to make this game as much like the game show as possible. The questions are read by host Louie Anderson, the background includes stage lights, and audience sounds are added in. Surprisingly, most of these features add to the fun of the game rather than taking away from it. You can choose one of their pre-made families or create your own family and family members. However, you are limited to creating 10 characters and 5 families. Once you've reached the limit you can create new characters and families by editing the old ones, but the original characters/families will be lost forever. The character creator allows you to adjust each individual facial feature, as well as the hairstyle, body type, and clothing. Some of the features have a limited number of choices, and most of the features are better suited for women's faces than for men's. The main complaint I hear about this game is that the computer opponents are too easy. I can see how that would be true for expert players, but for the average player setting the computer opponent level to Hard should be sufficient. You could also reduce the answering time for questions or lower the acceptance of misspelled words.
Rating: Summary: My Family Feud Looks Cool From The Box!! Review: This game plays just like on TV! You can even create your own family (neat huh?) or increse/decrease the difficulty of the computer opponents. The actual players think and react to your answers! The only drawback is that if both players in the faceoff do not get an answer thats in the survey, Louie will restart the faceoff with a new survey. Also, the introduction cannot be skipped (like in Wheel of Fortune). Other than that, this game is worth getting!!!
