Summary: Robot Arena
Review: This game is fun,but in created the robot mode, you don't get much weapons, colors and other stuff. The computer is way too easy to beat.If you want to play a harder oppenent, you should go to multiplayer.

Summary: Great!
Review: This is a great game! For some reason many people do not like this, I don't know why, it is exactly what I expected. In the game you construct robots, then fight them. If you win, you get money (fake money used in the game). If you loose, your bot is usually destroyed. Originally when you first install the game there are no physics at all, meaning, the bots don't flip or bounce. This can be partially fixed (go into the robot arena.cfg file and change the line Forces=off to Forces=on) and it allows the bots to bounce. I do agree that the AI is not so great, but this has already been fixed (in the form of a patch downloadable at the official website) this drastically improves the game by giving it more weapons, bots, and a way to play against other people on the same computer (one person uses half the keyboard, the other person uses the other half, or one uses a controller). Many people say that multiplayer over the internet does not work, but it does, you just need to follow the directions in the help file for multiplayer. Also, I would just like to say that the game is rated E for everyone, not T for teen like this site states (it says E right on my box). Overall I think this is a great game and anyone that likes Battlebots, Robot Wars, or Robotica will like this game.

Summary: Great Game!
Review: This PC game was purchased for a nine year old. The graphics are excellent, and the "battles" between the robots are very realistic. We did not find that this game was violent at all. The fun part is creating your own robot, and actually taking it to the arena to battle against another robot. I thought this game was really fun for all ages! *Note this game is listed for Windows 95/98/ME, but we are using it with Windows XP, and it works just fine.

Summary: Sparks of fun will fly, but soon will be flames of bordom
Review: to the person who is reading this, I would not recommend this of these reasons. First is the replay (how fun it could be played over again). This can be played over for a while, but soon it will be stuffed some where in the closet. One big thing that makes it not so hot is the challenge. It's to easy to beat. Even a 4 year old could beat it in a few days because that's how easy it is, and there isn't a difficulty set. Another factor that makes it bad is the controls. The controls are very tricky to control and it takes a while to get use to them. Last but not least is weapon's. I mean a game could be easy or simple to beat over and over, but if a robot game dosen't have many weapons, and stages you can't expereiment in new situations. So if I were you I would not get the game.

Sincerely, a person who wants you to have fun (and to warn you of bad games)

P.S. put me on the review list please!!

Summary: Great idea, little pay off
Review: Well, I do agree that you get what you pay for. Bear in mind this is retail $20. The models, movement, etc, is all nice, considering that the development team was building ROBOT models, so there wasn't much of an issue to make these 'bots pretty, or graceful. The parts selection becomes boring after about 20 minutes of play, and the AI is horrendous. I was very interested in this title, considering the hype around Battlebots and the new Robotica, but this left me very very cold. The internet aspect (the main reason I even picked up this game) is a facet that COULD improve with time given that WizardWorks would dedicate some time to it, but after reviewing their website, I'm not holding my breath. The only way this could EVER be redeemed is if WizardWorks releases the code, and a SDK (Shouldn't EVERY game developer be doing this by now?), and let the USERS breath a little life into what is essentially a nice skeleton of a game that could be improved over time. Once again, don't hold your breath. I'm still holding w/ Sanity (Aiken's Artifact), but I'm afraid I'm losing it quick...
