Rating: Summary: who wants to buy this sell out game Review: this game is really bad and the truth is it was rushed on to the market to capatalize on the shows success. now like every one i like the show but this game is not very challenging and shouldve been equipped with a LOT more questions...let me give you an example...I was over by my brothers house and his in-laws were there and playing the game that i brought(i had owned it for about 2 days) and as i was listening to them play they kept asking me if i knew the answers and i knew every single one because they were all repeats, all of them . this game started to repeat itself on the very first day. dont waste your money as so many others have(the game is still the second best selling game) if we accept this garbage then this is all well ever get. so if a game is subpar dont buy it and force the company to make quality games. have fun in your gaming adventures!
Rating: Summary: Who Wants to Waste 20 Bucks? Review: Absolutely awful! I am eleven years old and I LOVE the TV show, but this game was a total disappointment. The timer made it unrealistic, the questions were repetitive, and the voice of Regis was REALLY annoying and mean! Nothing at all like the real show. I played this game with my dad, and neither one of us thought it was worth anything. Definitely DO NOT waste your money on it!
Rating: Summary: Fun but repaditive. Review: All and all its a great game. It is just like the show but they need more questions. Once you have played for a few days, its real easy to become a millionaire.( I wish it was that easy)
Rating: Summary: Doesn't Regis ever SHUT UP! Review: Man, I never knew Phil Regis could be this ANNOYING! Since some of the first few questions are ludicrously hard (which is totally unlike the show), and it gives you 30 seconds to answer the question (which is ALSO totally unlike the show), I have to restart the game A LOT, which means I hear Phil Regis A LOT. A "skip" button should've been put into the game! I haven't recieved any repeat questions after about 3 months of owning the game. How? I uninstalled it after 30 minutes and never played it again! Trust me, you'd get more fun out of an electronic whoopee cushion than this game...and it's $5 cheaper!
Rating: Summary: Only somewhat faithful to show Review: As others have mentioned, this product has serious flaws--especially with regard to the pitiful number of questions available. For me, however, a larger complaint is the surprising unfaithfulness to the show. The so-called "Fastest Finger" questions are nothing really like those on the show. You don't compete to put the answers in the right order; you just buzz in when the computer flashes up the proper arrangement. It's related to the set of skills necessary on the real show--but it's not the same. Likewise, when answering questions in the "hot seat", you don't really get the "Is that your final answer?" prompting in a consistent way. Only some of the questions allow for it. Also, the questions in the pre-$1000 range are unusually difficult, compared with the show. There, they're ridiculously easy, complete with flatly idiotic possible answers. Here, by contrast, the early questions are much more serious. They're still comparatively easy, but they're not the gimmes they are on the real show. Hopefully, the producers will have found a way to be more faithful to the show--and give us more questions--for the second edition of this game.
Rating: Summary: Who Wants to Be a Sucker? Review: . We had a lot of fun with this game...for the first hour. Then, we started seeing the same questions over and over again. By the time we had played for several hours, every question up through about the $32,000 level was a "repeat". Another disappointment: you have to read the questions yourself. That may sound like a minor issue, but I bought the Jeopardy game the same day, and it's really helpful to have the audio when you're racing the clock. Save your money; Millionaire is a bust even though it's commercial free. Maybe Millionaire 2 will have some improvements.
Rating: Summary: YAWN! Review: As soon as the game was offered we ordered it right up and are so disappointed with it! The graphics are ok but within an hour we were millionaires! Not much of a challenge because the same questions are repeated so often!
Rating: Summary: BORING, DISAPPOINTING, and out $20.00 Review: Loaded up the game at 5:00. Saw the first repeat question at 5:20. No joke. The questions were ok the first time they came up, but after a couple hours, anyone who can remember their phone number can get to the big one. We had heard negative reviews, but love the tv game, and decided to give it a shot. It was a $20.00 mistake. You'll read some positive reviews, but in all honesty I feel this game is a con. I cannot believe they didnt have some sort of testing done before release. It is sad.
Rating: Summary: DISNEY I WANT MY MONEY - "YOU OWE ME A REFUND" Review: THIS IS THE WORST GAME TO COME ON THE MARKET FROM DISNEY. THE TV SHOW IS EXCELLENT. DISNEY GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. I KNOW YOU GUYS AT JELLYVISION CAN DO A BETTER JOB. THE GAME HAS TO MANY REPEATS. DON'T BUY THIS CD-ROM GAME UNTIL DISNEY MAKES A RECALL OR MAKE SOMETHING WORTH BUYING. WE NEED A FEW THOUSANDS MORE QUESTIONS.
Rating: Summary: Great fun for a party, but just one party Review: We installed and started up the game with much anticipation, having all been infected by the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire TV show bug. The four of us crowded around the keyboard had a wonderful hour of fun answering questions, making fun of each other if we left with $0, and revelling in the competition to get into the hotseat. It was also a lot of fun laughing at the customized Regis voiceovers after each game. Unfortunately, the glamour wore off quickly. The questions presented started looking really familiar the second time we sat down to play. In fact, they were the same questions. If you look on the game box, you'll even see that it proclaims "Hundreds of brain-teasing questions." More like maybe just ONE hundred? Obviously the game was no longer fun with the same players after a few rounds. We haven't played it since. If you want a great game for one (but just one) party, this is a good game. But don't buy it for retail price. Try to find a used one on an auction site somewhere. In fact, if you want my copy. "Come on, let's play, let's do it, here we go, let's play Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!"
