Summary: Don't waste your money . . .
Review: All I wanted to do was get in there and solve puzzles, not wait for eternity while: the theme played, the introduction played, the spin/solve/buy-a-vowel icons came up, the letters marched across the screen, the vowels SEPARATELY marched across the screen, etc. I played for 20 minutes and got through TWO puzzles! They even take time to tell you about "new prizes" on the wheel, as though you were actually going to win them! I threw the thing in the trash.

Summary: Same as 2nd edition
Review: Disappointed. Almost exactly the same as the 2nd edition.
Infrogrames took over Hasbro and only made same small changes.

Summary: This one is even worse than the first.
Review: I have to admit right up front that I had high expectations for this new version. Up to now, I only had the original WOF game published in 1998 by Hasbro interactive. When I saw the 2003 version was released by infogrames, I was expecting computer graphics that really made me feel I was on tv (being that they had 4 years to make improvements and take advantage of all the lastest computer gaming power). I can honestly say the videos and animated graphics are inferior to those found on version 1. Not only that, there are way too many of them and you can't shut them off like in version 1. Many times they serve no function but to slow the game down to a frustrating pace (not to mention how choppy and visually unappealing they are). The three flashing graphics that ask if you want to spin, buy or solve are so intrusive and distracting, it is difficult to concentrate on the puzzle board. Depite the fact that the game was just released, it does not have any of the new improvements that are found on the TV show like the toss-up round or the mystery round. If you are looking for a new version because you've solved all of the puzzles of the previous version, by all means buy. Otherwise, pass.

Summary: Nothing new
Review: If you bought the 2nd edition there is nothing new
except Vanna a bit older and a lot of bugs.
Needs a patch which is not available.

Summary: More of the Same
Review: Just read the reviews, agree with all. What I said on WOF2 applies here. New company, cosmetic changes, same game. I hope there are at least 2500 or more different puzzles, and yes, this game should follow the current TV show. (Lightening rounds, and spin the bonus wheel). I too was really disappointed when I discouvered that the back ground sets were tha save as vol. 2.

As i said in my WOF 2 review, big bonus: Look quick and you see Pat and Vanna in the Hot Tub together.

Still, if one gets 5 stars, they all get 5 stars.

Summary: Who Needs Pat Sajak?
Review: Never having bought the game until recently, I purchased "Wheel Of Fortune 3" because I knew it would be compatible with Windows XP. Therefore, I can't compare it to previous editions. The disc is a picture disc of the wheel itself, which is a nice touch. You can choose the length of the game you want to play. The options are a short 10 minute game, a standard 15 minute game, an extended 20 minute game, a 3 round game, a 4 round game and a 5 round game. In addition there are 10 settings in which to play the game itself: Hawaii, Great Outdoors, Orient Escape, Ultimate Adventure, 70's Retro, European Vacation, Fast Cars, New Orleans, Winter Sports and my personal favorite, Las Vegas.

After setting up the game options, the biggest surprise is that the host of the game is Vanna White, not Pat Sajak. Play proceeds pretty much like in the TV game show. To choose a letter, you can click and point on a particular letter, or you can type a letter in using the keyboard. I prefer the click and point method myself. The computer opponents are helpful because, as soon as they get a correct letter and win money, they almost always buy a vowel. In fact, they often buy more than one vowel, which certainly helps me figure out the puzzle. The first day I played the game I tried all 10 settings, and won 9 out of 10 games. Being the big winner does not guarantee success in the bonus round, as I only won 4 out of the 9 bonus prizes. This game is not too difficult to succeed at, and has more than enough options to make playing it very enjoyable.

Summary: If you have versions one and two, do not waste your money!!!
Review: OK. Obviously, Infogrames, the company that bought up Hasbro Interractive, hasn't seen the show since 1998. They have not updated any of the rules, and all they have done is added a few more puzzles to the second version and rereleased it. I am very dissapointed. I wasted [money] on this piece of junk.
