Rating: Summary: Fun for a five year old Review: My five year old just started playing video games and this is a good starter. The game is very forgiving, as SpongeBob never truly dies and my son gets a chance to start over at the last check point. This limits frustration since he doesn't have to start from the beginning every time. There are some areas that require a little adult help, but if one of us is not immediately available, there is enough to do in each area to keep him entertained. He will even jump SpongeBob off a cliff, so he can play the same area over and over.
Rating: Summary: Not Too Great Review: Spongebob Squarepants: The Battle for Bikini Bottom begins with a cut scene where Plankton fails yet again to take over Bikini Bottom. This time he tries robots, but they don't obey him and run rampant throughout Bikini Bottom. Supposedly, the aim of the game is to save Bikini Bottom from the robots. The actual game is woefully unrelated to the plot. Robots only surface a few times, at seemingly random intervals - they aren't a driving part of the game. The entire game is actually composed of a multitude of mini-games - including a game like the classic Snake, but with Gary - only a few of which were actually related to robots. Most often something rather pointless happens, like someone steals Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy's items, or else someone steals from the local Magic Shop, then the items are scattered over several mini-games. Graphics were mediocre - my friends and I marveled at how it was difficult to distinguish between what was 3D and 2D. Compared even to Half-Life, whose graphics are less exciting than the gameplay, this game is no match in art. Even in Half-Life there are transparent objects - where transparent objects in this game are obviously meant to be used, they are simply solid objects. Don't get me wrong; I do love Spongebob - that was the main reason for me to get the game - but even for something based on a cartoon that is rather ridiculous, this game is too plot-less to really enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Fun 4 Kids Review: There are tons of mini games in this SpongeBob game (I think there are like 30 total). My favorite section is the Trivia which has questions on all of the Main Characters. I would reccomend this game for kids between the ages of 6-10.
Rating: Summary: The Battle has begun Review: There are tons of trivia questions in this game for true SpongeBob fans to test their knowledge. My favorite games are Patrick Bowling and Dress to Impress where you have to dress SpongeBob in multiple outfits. You also get to play as all the different main characters from the show. TONS OF FUN!!!
Rating: Summary: Spongebob is cool could be better Review: This game is cool, but it is way too short. This was the first time I bought a game without reading reviews first. This was not really worth the money because it was to short, but this is one of those games that you can play a couple times after you bet it and you wont get too bored.
