Summary: Scrabble 2 works with Windows ME afterall
Review: A previoius reviewer informed us that Scabble 2 failed to operate properly with Micorsoft Windows ME. However, I have learned otherwise. My Dell, Pentium III, 800MHz allows Scrabble 2 to operate perfectly. I would recommend this game to anyone seeking hours of vocabulary enjoyment.

Summary: The More Complete Version
Review: Excellent version. Great graphics and animations. A feature I truly enjoy is being able to place "Maven" on the screen. Although, the animated "Maven" may be a bit repetitive, the "artificial intelligence" allows for hours of good game fun and company. I had not played Scrabble in years. When I borrowed this version from my sister, I became addicted all over again. When the time came for me to purchase my own, I opted for the newest version "Scrabble Complete." It was a mistake, in my opinion, this is the more complete version for hours of crossword fun.

Summary: Scrabble 2 could do better!
Review: Fair enough, Scrabble 2's got all the 3D features, sounds effects, games review etc., but the question players should be asking themselves is "what dictionary is the software based on?" Anyone who plays championship scrabble and has been to tournaments will agree with me that basing the software only on Websters OSPD isn't sufficicient; What of Chamber's Official Scrabble Word (OSW)??, What about other players dictionaries acceptable in Scrabble tournaments worldwide? I was a lot disappointed with Scrabble 2 while playing the Champion level to discover it doesn't recognise many playable scrabble words.

Probably in the next version, Scrabble2 needs to be updated and equipped with these features to bring it to the same level of ratings as some current professional Chess softwares.

Summary: Does NOT work with Windows ME
Review: Great, great game. But it does not work with Windows Millennium. And as others have said, tech support is abysmal. Scrabble is great, but Hasbro Interactive should be bankrupt.

Summary: It's great! I'm addicted.
Review: Haven't had a person around to play Scrabble with in years and miss having a GOOD game. You can set the levels from Novice to Tournament or anything in between with the Custom feature.

The online dictionary is handy (even though technically it shouldn't be used during play). You can hit a button to "define last" when the computer plays a word you're not familiar with. Other features include a list of "q" words without "u" and online help you can use based on the letters on your rack. I never use this because it's like cheating.

I'm enjoying it very much and got one for my mother as well. Haven't gone to play on Internet yet but may pursue that as well.

Summary: No technical support
Review: I am an avid scrabble player and play at the expert level. My computer has all the components necessary as listed in the instructions. However, after loading I was not able to successfully set options in v.2. When I called to get help, I felt like I was running around in circles. The telphone number kept me in a loop and I was unable to contact a human being. E-mails were to no avail. E-mail addresses were changed; e-mails were never answered. I always received an electronic response that said how much the company cared about its customers, but that obviously meant nothing. The old version is far from perfect, but at least I can use it. My advice, don't buy v.2.

Summary: If You Love Scrabble...
Review: I am one of those Scrabble players that wants to keep playing and playing, even when my fellow human players are sick of it. That's where a computer player comes in. I've played five or six games in a row against the computer.

The game is much improved from the first version, with cleaner graphics and better playing levels. Also, you can choose to play against as many as three computer players. I've found that playing this game has really helped me improve my Scrabble strategies, and my scores have increased steadily.

One feature I really like about this game is the statistics it keeps. You can see your Scrabble rating, and compare that with the official Scrabble levels. The game keeps other statistics, such as your number of wins, winning percentage, highest game, highest single play, and it breaks down your statistics according to one-person, two-person, three-person, or four-person games, as well as tournaments (timed matches).

Summary: Simply great software...
Review: I differ from my friends in that I'm not the joystick pumping, game pad pressing type. I enjoy puzzles and word gamers much, much more. Scrabble has filled the bill and has all the extra goodies that are helping me develop into a good all-around player so that when I venture onto the net I won't get smack around. I love it.

Summary: Doesn't Work with Windows Me
Review: I expected to play Scrabble on the Scrabble, but instead I had to brush my browser arrow all over the screen, like a window cleaner, to get it to change. Then when I finally did get the scrabble board, part of it was hidden off the top of the screen. Hasbro advised that my Dell Celeron 3800 was sufficient for the job, but maybe the Windows Me doesn't quite fit Scrabble 2. I regretfully had to send it back. So if you have Windows Me, be prepared to be disappointed.
