Rating: Summary: Tried it on a computer that exceeds the Recommended req Review: ..and it not only ran much much better than on mine, but was also totally awesome! Stunning 3D graphics displayed perfectly that wouldn't render with my older 3D graphics card! Terrific game play, and is at the top of its league in Tycoon's. The options, style's, theme's, etc are seemingly endless. This game is a 'must buy' for Tycoon fans with up-to-date hardware! Definitely worth the game price!

Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I guess I'm just used to more "building" in the sim games. The only thing you can customize is the casino. Everything else comes predone and you can't customize anything else. It's really kind of boring after you get everything done. It's definitely not a game that can hold my attention for long.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Game, Best Tycoon game yet Review: It's a shame that, when a good game like this - with it's brilliant graphics, superb gameplay and almost completely bug-free engine - is released, not so many people hear about it. Yet other games that get released completely unfinished outsell the good ones by a bucketload. Simply put, this game is a very addictive, fun, exciting product. I have had it for 3 weeks now and I haven't experienced a single bug. The graphics are really top notch, and with a free scrolling camera that lets you go anywhere it makes it all the lot better. The gameplay too, is great. You can play either Sandbox Mode or Scenario Mode, there are 9 scenarios and about 14 sandbox maps. In sandbox mode everything is customizable like frequency of disasters, events, amount of money you start with, amount of guests and more. In scenario mode you start on the tutorial level, and gradually work your way up to the higher, harder levels. My only grudge there is once you get the hang of how to pull in the money it can get a bit easy. I find the actual in game gameplay brilliant. Once you've bought yourself a lot you fill it up with whatever you want to - and I mean anything from Nightclubs to Hotels, to Casinos, to Shops, to Strip Clubs, to Wedding Chapels and more. Sometimes the amount of options available to you is overwhelming, especially when you've just finished furnishing the outside of your lot, you build a casino, and you realize you have to do the same all over again but inside your casino. Some may like this, some may loathe this. For some (like me) I love building the inside of my casino. If you can't be bothered then don't worry, each casino comes with ready made templates that if you choose to use will fill your casino up with all the essentials and neat furnishings without you having to lift a finger. I find it more fun myself to build the inside of my casino by hand. On the inside you build everything from Gambling tables (including BlackJack, Texas Hold 'em, Carribean Stud, Let it Ride, Pai Gow, Craps, Roulette, Wheel of Fortune, Five Card Stud and Baccarrat), to slot machines (including Car Slots - where the prize is a car, or progressive slots, or the single slot machines), to Bars, Kitchens, Buffets, and of course all the maintenance offices such as cleaners, security and others. And you couldn't have a casino without all the beautiful furnishings such as flowers, fountains, lights, statues etc. Vega$: Make it Big will provide you with hours of entertainment. If you're unsure about purchasing the game because you haven't heard of the developer or you don't trust it, then brush that aside because I assure you, you will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Make sure your system meets Minimum Operating Requirements! Review: This game is HIGHLY 3D graphic intensive, and requires an Operating System of NO LESS than a Pentium III, 600MHZ, Windows 98, 16MB 3D Graphics Card, 192MB of RAM, 500MB free HD space, and DirectX 9.0. The "Recommended" Operating System is Pentium III, 800MHZ, 32MB 3D Graphic Card, 256MB of RAM, 8X CD drive speed, 500MB free HD, and DirectX 9.0. I just received and played the game today and my computer meets Minimum OS Requirements but not all of the Recommended ones. In order to run it, I had to close most open programs using CTL+ALT+DEL to free up as much RAM as possible(I have 256MB RAM), the game took a LONG time (20 minutes, and that was AFTER install) to load, and even with my 700MHZ processor the game also ran very slow. My 3D graphics card could not handle the intensive amount of graphics in this game and the program recognized that, so the game automatically switched to "safe operating mode" which rendered it with less graphics and no sound...kinda took a lot of the fun out of it. I think if a person has 1+GHZ computer with 512MB RAM and an awesome 3D graphics card this game would really be a lot of fun, but anything less it runs so slow, and eventually max's out the RAM to the point where the game almost stops completely (with 256MB RAM) as it did with me. Pretty awesome Tycoon game though and one I'm going to save for future play when I eventually upgrade to the GHZ family of computers. This game is the ultimate for those looking for, and have a system that can handle, intensive 3D graphics in a Tycoon game.
Rating: Summary: Vegas Tycoon Review Review: This is a great game. The graphics are great and it is fun for all ages. There a few things that could be improved such as the "Explore Your Lot" mode and the casio building mode but all and all the game is overall very good. However, this game is WAY TO HARD. I can never get anyone to visit my lots even though they have casios, hotels, and many other things like places to shop and restaurants. The most I have ever had is 150 people while most neighboring lots have 800+ people. Anyway, a very challenging game.
Rating: Summary: Vegas Tycoon Review Review: Vegas Tycoon is a fun and addictive Sims-type game where you not only build the inside of your casino, but you also build on the outside. If you are a Roller Coaster Tycoon (RCT) fan you will find this game easy to navigate through. It is far more detailed and intensive than RTC since there are so many more options and detailed changes that can be adjusted during game play. For example, you purchase an entire lot and build either a canned pre-built casino or create your own from scratch. Then you can build themed hotels, bars, restaurants, shoppes and adult theme clubs. You can also build the inside of your own casino. You can decorate the casino to the point of changing elevation of the floors or adjusting the carpeting and wallpaper. You then add slots machines, craps tables, and a host of other tables that are available. Hire staff to help you manage your casino, even a Pit boss for comps! If you enjoy detail and creating your own Vegas world, this game is for you!!!!!
