Review: DOOM, DOOM2 and Final DOOM are not the best games you can find right now, but they support numerous mods, ports, levels, etc...
The best thing to do with your doom is to add jDoom engine to it + 3D models (you can find these on jDoom's homepage) - jdoom.newdoom.com. Also supply it with The Darkening: Episode 2, and it will look like Quake2 or better! For classic doom you should try these: Eternal DOOM 3 (from TeamTNT), WolfenDOOM, GoldenEye TC and AliensTC - awesome mods. Try em all!

Review: First of all I won't tell you about the game, because we all know it's the best, I'll tell you about what comes in the package. Nothing, save the cd. No printed manual, no artwork, no key guide, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A COLLECTOR'S EDITION!... And if you plan on playing this with a mouse you'd better think again because doom95 (the windows 95 launcher) doesn't support usb mouses and practically all new computers come with usb mouses. However the great free program jdoom (jdoom.newdoom.com)adds mouse support, improved graphics, quake style console, and even updated polygonal graphics! The horrible part about this is that the average customer won't even think to download jdoom... The games themselves are great but the company didn't put any effort into this. This is in no way a "collector's edition" it's just repackaged old software.

Review: First off Doom is an older game but a good a good game...i just got my pc and have surfed the net looking hi and lo for this puppy...even went to ID's site and it almost cost me over $.... Amazon is a goldmine cuz you can download your loot AND they sell it at a hella down to earth PRICE....so my suggestion if you LOVE DOOM get it man yoou wont regret it AND LAST BUT NOOOT LEAST BUY IT here ALL THE TIME peace out...

Summary: The first person shooter that redefined gaming forever...
Review: First off, let me share my thought of id Software with you: they are a group of the most intelligent people on God's green earth. John Carmack and his demons are still at it today making engines that surpass the realm of a "video game". DOOM is filled with demons and monsters that travel with you throughout the gates of Mars into Hell. This game has scared me more than a few times despite its age. This collectors bundle is not the greatest for taking it out of the box, slapping it into the drive, installing and playing. I recommend you get a mod for it called "DOOM Legacy Launcher" which adds mouse support, OpenGL support and other eye candy. To be frank, this game is not fun without mouse support. Get DOOM Legacy at http://legacy.newdoom.com/dl_lega.shtml. This game has not been forgotten, the legacy of evil does live on... DOOM III comes out next year.

Summary: OH MY GOD
Review: I DID IT, I BEAT DOOM 2 ON THE SECOND HARDEST DIFFICULTY LEVEL, WHEW it took me about a month to though. Being a younger gamer I never had the chance to play these classics (hmmmm, it doesnt warp my mind like so many people thought, weird) But I love em, doom 2 never got repetative, don't know why, I guess it was the brillant level design and well paced difficulty (at least on the first four difficulty settings , good luck trying to get through the hardest) the first one got a little repetative after the first 2 acts (I HATE cyberdemons). If the graphics are too hard on your eye go to fileplanet and download the latest version of jdoom, it will ease the pain.

Review: I just bought this game yesterday and I was very pleased. I purchased it only for the final doom [ since it was the only one I didn't already have].I find all of the dooms very challenging[ unless you're a wimp that puts on I'm too young too die or uses cheats like a sissy]. I put my skill level on either hurt me plenty or ultra violence for super carnage, I'll do nightmare every once in while. I personally like the final doom for its 64 levels amd all the baddies on EACH level[ including the first one]. (...)I give this game a thumbs up. This colletors edition is worth the money.

Review: i love doom2, but don't know in this bundle, whether it is doom2 ver1.666, or ver1.9, or doom2 for win95. i love the old dos version. hate win95.

Review: i played doom as a young kid when it first came out (i'm 20 now, so do the math) with my dad. i thought it was wild, but then it sorta got lost in the shuffle.. new computer, all that stuff..
so i bought the collectors edition.
now i remember what all the commotion was about.
let me just say this. even if youve played doom before, go ahead and hop into Doom 1, and play Thy Flesh Consumed on Ultraviolence. scared the bejeezus outta me. those first two levels. absolutely diabolical. not to say that the rest of that mission isnt equally as challenging, but those first two made my jaw hit the floor. oh and a word of advice to those who decide to get jDoom or something up that vein. Dont reprogram the controls to use the mouse. Using todays control structure, i BLEW thru doom on the hardest difficulty with almost no issues at all. you need to be on keyboard ONLY.
