Rating: Summary: Good Game Review: Overall, a good game, but the bad language didn't have to be in there.
Rating: Summary: Breach,Bang and Clear! Review: SWAT 3 CQB is a good game. But it is not the same with Rainbow 6.You can't make an assault plan before starting the mission. But you give commands to the other team members during the mission. The enemy Al is very good. They can hear your foot steps or something like they can feel you are there. When you enter a room all bad guys turn their guns at you and screams while bursting their bullets at you. Graphics are very good. They are similar to the 3D shooter graphics. It is easy to play.Sound effects are very good especially when you are in dynamic mode. Not as realistic as R6 but it has lot of fun in it.Breaching the doors, throwing flashbangs or gas bombs, shouting at suspects to drop their guns and up their hands.Weapons and equipments are very good. But the worst part is there are only 16 missions in the game and two mission takes place in the same building. You can play each mission in single mission part and when you start the Career mode playing the same missions is alittle boring. The game itself a very good one and don't miss it.
Rating: Summary: Fun at first......... Review: Swat 3 is a great game. Froom the moment I bought Swat 2 Iknew any other Swat game that came out I must buy. With greatgraphics, sound, replay value, you'd think it would be a perfect game, the only think I dislike about it is this; Swat 3 is supposed to be a realistic game, not a bang bang shoot 'em up. Towards the end of the game, it's not so realistic. C'mon lets take the Tready Convention mission for example, C platoon, (another division of SWAT) just cleared the building and did a bomb search 2 hours earlier(as said so in the briefing). Now for the the most important event in modern world history, you'd think there would be top-notch security, right? Wrong. Somehow, in 2 hours, about 15 armed terrorists have sneaked in and taken over the building. Jeez, I mean stopping a bank robbery, serving high-risk arrest warrents, these all happen, but taking over the LA City Hall and planting a bomb on the top floor? The realistic game suddenly goes from realistic, to shoot 'em up as in the later levels, suspects hardly ever surrender, and will go Kamakizie yelling, charging, and shooting at you. But hey, i never said its wasn't fun. If I could add one thing to this game, it would be a Sniper option. There are certian levels, (Water Treatment Plant) where a sniper could really help if your pinned down. Sometimes, High Ground (snipers) tell might you they see a suspect holding a hostage at gunpoint. Ok, heres an idea, shoot the suspect, isnt that what your for? Snipers are licenced to shoot if there is immenent threat to himself, or somebody else. A little help please. Plus, I know Swat teams work in groups of five, but jeez, i'll be the LAPD would send more than 5 guys into a terrorist ridden City Hall. If you could have some outside help, it would make the alot better. All in all, Swat 3 is an well rounded package, and well worth the $...
Rating: Summary: SWAT 3: The closest simulation to actually being there. Review: Swat 3 is an exception simulation. Being a law enforcement officer I can attest that SWAT 3 is exceptionally detailed and authentic, right down to the unknown woman jumping out of the bathroom in nothing more than a towel, just after you gain entry. The programmers did a fantastic job and portray the true dangers and difficulties of being a SWAT officer. Being a SWAT officer is about making calculated decisions to ensure the safety of the hostages, the officers and the hostiles(unless they place you in immediate danger), not just randomly running around shooting up the location and the bad guys. If you like shoot 'em up type games, this game isn't for you, try Rogue Spear or Delta Force. If you want a strategy simulation that makes you think and requires you to act appropriately, then SWAT 3 is the game to try. Stay safe!
Rating: Summary: Police Swat 3 Review: SWAT 3 is Sierra's 3rd try in the world of Special Weapons And Tactics, and this entry hits the target with all guns blazing. The game is composed of 16 missions which can be played through in sequence in career mode, or individually in mission mode. This is great because after completing the game's campaign, you can go back and easily re-play your favorite missions. The game is very realistic. You (the SWAT leader) clean up the streets in preparation for the Nuclear Abolishment Treaty, and stopping those that would like to see said Treaty crumble. One faction that keeps coming up is Sovereign America, a Right-wing fascist militia group, other terrorist groups play their hands as well against various political members that plan to be at the Treaty signing, and it's up to you to make sure those diplomats are safe when Global Peace Day is finally recognized. The game play is seen from the Element (the Team) Leaders view (yours), thus it can be said that this game is technically a first person shooter. Command options are located in the top-right corner of your screen, and are accessed by pressing a corresponding number key. Basically, point your reticule at an object (person, door, weapon etc.), press a command key and watch as the team members obey your every command. Yea, tell them to search, they will, to open a door, they do it. Speaking of Leadership, the better you treat your soldiers and the less they get wounded, the better they'll listen to you in a life - threatening situation. Character models are realistic, and objects in the far distance are visible, weather and daytime lighting are accurate. The sounds of gunfire and other ambient effects are above average. Music will change depending on the Tactical Mode. Yet as we're so immersed in the game play, we'll hardly notice, right? Get this now, a truly excellent addition to the genre of tactical action games.
Rating: Summary: Visually stunning and very enjoyable! Review: Swat 3 is unlike any police work game. This one happens to be more realistic and even more enjoyable. The characters you encounter are very intelligent, and you and your fellow SWAT members get the chance to actually do what real SWAT members do. What's great about this entry into the SWAT series, is that it's in first person view, rather than SWAT 2's overhead view. I also liked the fact you can do something else besides taking the Doom and Quake approach of shooting all targets on the screen...is this you actually make arrests and interact with your suspects. I highly recommend it!
Rating: Summary: SWAT 3 IS REALLY REALISTIC Review: Swat 3 is verry cool and realistic I recommend anyone who is into swat games! The sound effects is great and the suspects look real act realistic!
Rating: Summary: Good squad game. Great AI. Not enough tension... Review: SWAT 3... good game, but it doesn't give me the sense of realism and tension that Rogue Spear is giving me. Don't get me wrong. I love SWAT 3 and I'm playing it and if you liked Rogue Spear and you would like to try a good squad-based game, SWAT 3 is a great choice. SWAT 3 has definetly better AI than RS. On the other hand the game's scope is totally different from RS: RS is a game based on spec-ops groups and you are supposed to go in and kill everybody standing in your way as fast and as silently as possible. SWAT 3 on the other hand is based on police actions. This implies that you have to respect and enforce the law (unlike the guys in RS which go above and below the law when necessary). In order to carry out missions in SWAT 3 you need the support of a proactive AI that helps you arrest the baddies and that shouts at them to drop the weapons, and cuffs them for you (and this is usually more complex than just killing them). This means that the AI HAS to be better, and it is. Still, in spite of all this, I don't get the tension and gut wrenching feeling of hunting and being hunted at the same time that I get in RS. In SWAT you get the 'warmfuzzy' feeling that you are law enforcement and that in the end good will prevail. Over all I think that the game is good and dynamic but I think that they sacrificed realism for playability. It's still a good game and I reccomend it (in second place after RS, that is). PS: I just love that 'spying' mirror that helps you peek around the corners!
Rating: Summary: The best tactical game I ever had Review: Swat3 is the best tactical and strategy game , I ever had. it's that realistic, but unfortunately you don't see your own weapon, anyway.suspects are very detailed and the graphic is perfect.better than Rogue Spear and rainbow six.the radio feature and the real feeling.if you're a real fan of tactical games you'll love that game.... I'm just waitng for swat 4. many levels and perfect videos.. just the best game I ever had..... unfortunately I've got the german version,if i've a chance to get the english version, i'll buy that... mail me: sharkay@gmx.net i'd like to exchange informations with you
Rating: Summary: Great Game Review: SWAT3 was a very good game. The AI was very stunning and voice acting was great. The graphics and settings were very cool and nicely layed out. The only cons were the officers get lured to their deaths now and then and the audio stutters sometimes, but besides that it's a Great Game!
