Summary: SoF is da bomb!
Review: Soldier of Fortune combines top notch graphics and sound with great AI and the new RavenSoft GHOUL system. Locational damage and smoother movement animations are just 2 of new features added to the modified Quake II engine. With SEVERAL scaleable options from violence and gore to enemy re-spawning and number of saves, this game can be tweaked for your needs. More graphics scalibility options than you can shake a stick at! And the Multiplayer! Lets just say it rocks! More options in server setup then Half-life! This is the first must own title since Half-life.

Summary: a new revolution in action gaming
Review: this game has it all. The action, the explosions, the weapons, the story, and of course...everyones favorite....the killing. the fact that the enemies die according to where you shoot them and with what weapon makes the gore quite enjoyable ......well......enuf with that...u want the basics... Graphics: wonderful Weapons: Look and sound great. in addition to that, the weapons have seconday modes, i.e. knife can be used to slash...or they can be thrown. you can also perform little stunts with the weapons, like twirling the shotgun, or wiping the blood off your knife Audio: you feel like you are there...even without surround sound Controls: can be a little difficult at first, to control all the buttons, but can be managable with a little practice Gore: lots of it, but..if you dont want your kids gettin at the gore, there is a parental lock on it. so...in short...this game is a must buy..it can be ranked with up there with great action titles like Half life or Quake .....'nuff said

Summary: Soldier of Fortune demo in review
Review: Well, I'd agree that this game qualifies under the category of "mindless shooter" but it still appears to be a winner in that category. The graphics are as close to perfect as they come, and that's using the Quake 2 Engine (HEAVILY Modified). The death animations are gruesomely realistic, as are your foes' responses when you shoot them in the leg with a pistol (They hop around screaming, grabbing leg) or when you take them on in the head at point-blank range with a shotgun (A bloody stump, spurting blood remains as the body crumples into a gory heap). If you have EAX or A3D enhanced audio, you'll be amazed by how the sound is projected to where it's actually coming from (Behind and to the left actually sounds like behind and to the left). If you have a geForce based graphics card, you'll be pleased to know that this game actually utilizes what it can do and then some. So if the demo is any indication, this game is a must-buy!

Summary: Kick-arse gib fest
Review: This game is what most people would call a mind-less shooter but I for one enjoy it. Most of the game is spent shooting and killing soliders that react very realistily, I.E you shoot a enemy in the leg, he gropes his leg and limps around, you shoot a guy in the stomach, he bends over in pain. The game also has a lot of blood in it. You shoot a guy in the stomach with a shotgun, his guts hang out, you shoot a guy in the head with a .44 pistol, it explodes. If you shoot a guy in the middle with a pistol, you can see where it comes out of the back of his body. You shoot a guy in the head with a .9mm, the back of his head explodes. This game is not for the easily sickend or for the young, but it is very fun and very entertaining. The game also has great grapics, very detailed textures and uses bump-mapping to make bricks look like bricks and cement look like cement. This game requires a 3d accelerater card and at least a 300 for it to run good, but once you get it running, you'll love it. This is one of the funnest games I've played in a long time, and all I played was the OEM 3 level version that came with my mouse.

Well, thats all I got to say, I'm going to be getting this game the first day it comes out, be looking for y'all on multiplayer.

Summary: Disappointing!
Review: I played this game after playing Max Payne, and Soldier of Fortune was nowhere near in action and storyline. Half-Life and Unreal 1 are much better than this game as well.
Cons:
* You only have a few saves available, and they get reduced as you increase the challenge level. It [stinks] to have to go back to the very beginning of the level and do it all over.
* You just move forward killing everybody who jumps in front of you. I'm personally tired of that idea in games. There is no looking for buttons and clues, turning things on and off, and that sort of things.
* You have many weapons, but you rally need two of them to get the job done.

Pros:
* Each mission takes place in a different part of the world, and that is very cool because the environment varies greatly.

I do not recommend you buying this game, but if you want to buy it, then buy it for a low price.

Summary: A good Romp
Review: Holy cow!! Intestines, intestines! Yes, this is a very very violent game. In fact, a lot of folks have dismissed this game as nothingness encapsulated in a lot of blood and gore. However, they're the ones missing all the fun.

Basically, this is a first person shooter with cool weapons, body-pin-pointed damage, and lots of levels. The multiplay is sheer joy, especially in the office levels that have lots of cubicles, corridors, and computers to destroy.

Nothing beats the pleasure of sniping at different parts of an enemy's body. Or how about the "lean" feature which lets you peer around a corner and tag an enemy. Good stuff.

Buy it, but not if you are of the faint of heart!

Summary: THE BEST FIRST PERSON SHOOTER EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This game is hands down the best game there ever was. There are thirty heart pounding missions with excellent Graphics and sound. There are awesome explosions and cut-in scenes, and the animations can't be beat. The graphics are run on a Quake 2 engine, But it has been HEAVILY modified. It is a must have game but its pretty gory. If you can't handle the gore Quake 2 then you can't handle this game.

Summary: Almost Half-Life ... but not quite
Review: A very solid FPS. I very much enjoyed 90% of this game. Like Half-Life, it has a good story line and great weapons. This game also features some good weapons balance -- it only allows you to have a finite amount of weapons and the ammunition and health can be sparse (especially towards the end).

The Ups: Great models, story, weapons, and over all game play. This is the first single player game since Half-Life that I have played all the way through.

The Downs: The story breaks down towards the end and it gets just a little monotonous by the time you're done.

Overall: probably one of the better games that money can buy right now. Numerous games that have come out since do not measure up. It has a very nice feel, and is very polished. A good purchase you won't regret.
