Rating: Summary: Robot Arena is like Robot Wars for Babies. Review: Robot Arena is NOT the game you'd want. The AI is nowhere near challenging, the game can be beaten in 10 minutes, not enough parts/chassis' to go through, the graphics need SERIOUS help, and the realism sucks. Even with the patch, which supposedly makes the AI harder, it's still too simple. I have mastered the game within 20 minutes. Unless you like games that a 3-year old can beat by hitting keys, don't touch this game.
Rating: Summary: A 4.5 Star Game... Review: Robot Arena lacks in competition in single player, but playing over a LAN is really cool. Build your own robot(should be more weapons and add-ons), then play against your friends. The game requires a faster computer speed then what is said on the box. I have a 550 P-3 and it is still fairly choppy with saws ablazin. Overall, if you like fighting robots and the show Battlebots, your $... will be well spent towards this game.
Rating: Summary: Worth ...bucks to me Review: The game is a neat little representation of the tv show Battlebots, right down to the sawblades and spikes on the floor. There are a decent amount of parts to play with, and gameplay is pretty easy. It is relatively straightforward to make and fight with a robot, and at first, it may seem a bit strange with the camera angles. While the AI leaves much to be desired at first, if you go to...and download the patch, you will instantly like the game a whole lot more. With the patch comes 2 new weapons, head to head mode, better Multiplayer suppport, far more advanced challenging AI, and finally about 5 or so new bots to beat to pieces :) Once you have the patch, the game seems much more fun, and I definitely recommend this game for those robot loving people out there!
Rating: Summary: NEEDS WORK!!!!! Review: The game is fun, but has too many down sides. The AI level is 0 and a half. There is not alot of options at the bot lab and the online thing [not good]!!!
Rating: Summary: To easy Review: The game was fun at first but the creators were in to big of a hurry. The computer is to easy to beat and there is no way to change the difficulty level.
Rating: Summary: No physics engine!! Review: This game has a great premise, but there is only one problem - there is no physics engine, meaning that you cannot push, shove, crash, flip or toss any robots which are common tactics on shows like Robot Wars. The design areas are skimpy, and the movement is sometimes jerky. All this will supposedly be fixed in the next release, "design and destroy", so that would be a better buy. But if all you want to do is pound other robots with hammers and saws, you can try this if you want to.
Rating: Summary: Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Review: This game is a little bit good you can kill your other team robots. but look at this and I will tell you whats good and whats bad: Good Things building a robot arena harzads are cool Bad Things wimpy robots no good wepons arenas need more harzads needs lot more work on other things I have not said. When their 2nd game comes out in February of 2003, I hope it can be better than the first robot arena. If you want more info on this bad game or the 2nd go to robotarena.com I say the 2nd will be better
Rating: Summary: Robot Arena Review Review: This game is alot of fun. I had a great time playing it.
Rating: Summary: fun but weard Review: this game is fun @ first but it is not one of those games that stick with you for a while. Like the chain saw in version 1.0.0.3 is electric but is sounds like a real chain saw. And they have stories aboute the parts and the people like there real, And the enemys range from farm people, X-cons, Zombies & warlocks. but the visual graphics are good like if you hit a wall with a battering ram or spikes it will most likly make a damage mark, but unstead of parts sparking and half hanging of and leaving them on the arena thay will just blow up. But if you saw the main body of a robot bolts will fall on the floor and disapear after aboute 3-to-5 seconds. and they need more weapons like a flame thrower or a net. If in the bot lab in prosses of making a robot hold down shift and press 4 it gives u $50,000 don't do this if you have more than $50,000. Also when your makeing your robot in the bot name type [cheatbot] and then click something (i don't know if you have to click something but may-b do this to make sure) and then re-name your robot in the same box you typed cheatbot and you get a elctric switch blade cool tires cool speakers (i don't know why any one would want speakers on a robot) and a stupid skull. [all these itums you get in the robot stuff menu the tires are disgiused as 8" tires above the mini tank treds the stupid stupid skull is a badge plate and the switch balde you can easely c. i hope this re-watever hlep u get or not get this fun weard game.
Rating: Summary: The fun does not last long Review: This Game is fun at first, but after about a month or so it gets boring . There are 7 opponets and arenas . Even though you can build your own robot, You are limited to too many things . After awhile you will find yourself doing the same thing over and over again. Most of the other robots are very easy to defeat and you will get bored after some time. This gives you more weapons, wheels and harder opponets. You can also go against someone on the same keyboard . All of this adds about another month to the fun, but you will still get tired of defeating the same robots over and over and you will be hungry for more action. P.S. you should search for Robot arena Design and Destroy, you may like this game more.
