Summary: Good game for 49.99 Great Game for 19.99
Review: This would have been a good game for 49.99, but since the list price is 19.99, then this is a must have for anyone that remotely likes FPS. And if you liked Doom, then you will absolutely love this game.

Just make sure you have a decent computer P3 500 with a good video card (Voodoo 3 or higher) and you'll be all set.

This game would have gotten 5 stars easily, but the multiplayer kinda sucks. I mean the multiplayer aspect is fun, but the network codes really sucks. I get kinda laggy on my cable modem and could barely even play it on my girlfriends 56.6 modem.

But don't let the lackluster multiplayer stop you, for 20 bucks, you'll have a blast in single player mode, and if your feeling alittle adventurous, then you can build your own levels with the included software.

Summary: Seriously Sweet.
Review: If you think the only way to play a shooter is like Half-Life or Deus Ex, you might not like this game. If you prefer bot/arena combat, you might not like this game. But if you grew up on Doom and Duke Nukem, and you've been eagerly awaiting for something to come along that can meet those, here is your game. The engine, while not Quake3, is BEAUTIFUL, and the game is just plain FUN. It's only $20. Pick it up. It is the best $20 game you will ever purchase. (I say "will ever" because you WILL buy this game, it is THAT fun!)

Summary: Serious Fun for Serious FPS Gamers
Review: There will be those that say that Serious Sam is just another shooter like Quake or Unreal and they would be close. There are those that would say that SS is just another squad based combat game like Tribes and they also would be close. Then there are those that will look at the graphics, environments, worlds, weapons, bad guys, AI, speed, configurability, support, mods, scripts, and adrenelin gland crushing action and say..."This is pretty freakin intense!" and they would be right on target. If you have only enough money in your budget to get one newly released game, get the one you've been waiting for with the most anticipation. If you are lucky enough to have enough for two...also grab Serious Sam. You will find yourself trying to decide which game to play. Over and over again.

Summary: Fun Fun Fun!
Review: If you're looking for a complicated, rich storyline, this game is not it.
If you're looking for a first person shooter where monsters come in countless waves and all you gotta do is hold the trigger down, this game is for you.
Serious Sam has been rated by many as a mindless shooter and that's exactly what it is. Great fun.
Multiplayer cooperative matches are simply a blast.

Summary: Fun for a few minutes
Review: ...when all you did in shooters was enter a level and mindlessly shoot your gun all around. Sam is seriously(Serious,Sam, get it?) fun, even if it does suffer from a few problems. One being in the form of the controls being all screwed up. You can fix them, but it's a pain. Why couldn't the developers just keep things normal? Luckily, the pros make up for that. Getting online and playing is snap, and it's fun. The story could use some work, but with a name like Serious Sam, what do you expect. Still, it's definently worth the $10 it'll cost you.

Summary: Disgustipatingly Fun
Review: I grabbed this for about [] from a local game store and played it daily from the day i bought it until i beat it. It's incredibly fun, though very simple. The story isn't incredible, but that's usually not why i buy an FPS (Halo was an exception). The graphics are great, and i've run the game on my moderate system at highest detail.

Getting past certain areas can be a chore sometime - just make sure you have the quicksave key in a handy spot. The final boss was kind of boring and a lot easier than some of the earlier bosses/situation, yet it wouldn't suprise me if the expansion offered more of a challenge or maybe at least a little closure.

If you liked Duke Nukem 3D, then you will definitely like this game - snide remarks, violence, and often goofy enemies.
