Summary: All killing and no brainwork make Sam a dull boy...
Review: Serious Sam, the game, is basically nothing more than an attempt to show off the (admittedly sweet) Serious Engine. For $X.XX, what else did you expect?

But let us cast price aside for a moment, and see how it compares to the other slew of retail FPS games. The character of "Serious" Sam Stone has obvious roots in Duke Nukem, but with half the dry action-hero wit. There are a few funny, but short moments that made me chuckle (such as, when Sam screams "come and get me!", a horde of monsters swarm at him, and he mumbles "uh-oh...") but generally the jokes are flat. The level design is ridiculously spartan, with simple puzzles and architecture, but reams upon masses upon armies of bad guys. It needs to be said that the enemies you fight, though few, look undoubtedly cool. I especially enjoyed the decapitated screaming kamikazes (does that not just SCREAM "cliche"?). It's a good thing the enemies are so interesting... otherwise one would get bored after gunning down the five-billionth harpy.

All the game's about, really, is such wanton violence. And that's not so bad, is it?

What got my goat, so to speak, was the game's conclusion. After wading through the guts of 30,000 or so headless marauders, scorpions, and one of the biggest, baddest final bosses in recent video-game memory, I feel it safe to say that most people (including myself) will be rather displeased with the ending. No, I won't spoil it. Find out for yourself, but watch out for gibs!

Summary: Good first person Shooter game , Good Graphics
Review: I bought this game after going through the reviews , I am not a hardcore gamer but I like playing games every now and then .I will say that I was not dissappointed on buying this game (Bought it from Amazon)

Very good graphics (If you have a high end system and a powerful Graphics Card).I found running this game was no problems on my system (P-III 1000 MHZ , 256 MB Crucial Memory , Visiontek GeForce 2 ULTRA with 64 MB).I ran it at 1280/1024 32 bit color ,and it was very cool.

Although the game is nothing but killing and killing whoever comes in front of you , but you will still enjoy it .It is a must buy for every gamer .The price is also affordable as compared to other games.

Only dissappointment is not many levels , hope the developers come with new levels.

Summary: A feast for the eyes.
Review: This is a seriously good looking game. The motion is smooth, edges are crisp, and surfaces practically _feel_ tactile. The game play is decent, though this is a difficult game; you can and will die hard, fast, and often. There are some interesting puzzles, a few good mazes, and some nifty enemies. Sound is well-done, and the soundtrack is vibrant. I found it heartily entertaining. Even better; the price. ..this is the best FPS in my arsenal.

Summary: The price is right
Review: What got me was the sheer amount of bad guys that appear on the screen at one time, hundreds. It looks good, plays well and the ...price is simply great. This is the game Daikatana should have been..

Summary: Pure, concentrated entertainment
Review: Like all the other reviews in the world about this game, there is a clear fact: you can check your brain at the door when you play this game. But is that such a bad thing? There is no story, no tough puzzles, and no interesting main character. What you DO get is the next generation of Doom: a game filled with large, open areas, with literally hundreds of enemies running at you. Fear not, though! You'll have the usual array of rockets, shotguns, and minigun at your side. The graphics are top-notch and the enemies are varied and fun to kill. It's absolutely incredible that a small team from Croatia can create a game this fun. And for such a low price, it's hard not to buy.

The downsides? It does require a pretty good machine. I have a P500 with a Voodoo III and 256 MB of RAM, and it's pretty darned choppy. Then again, a P500 ain't what it used to be, and my video card is pretty slow in this day and age. I think if you have a 800 MHZ and a GeForce 2, this will be as smooth as silk.

Finally, the game can be just really hard!! Even on the easier settings, it's really tough to stay alive with those suicide-bomber guys running at you from every direction.

If you've got the system horses, buy it and enjoy!

Summary: It's a blast
Review: If U'r into shooters like Quake and Doom, this is the ultimate trip. No thinking allowed. Just start blasting and try to survive. I've never been killed so many times and had more fun doing it.

Summary: MINDLESS ARCADE FUN
Review: I've read magazine reviews of this game. Most critics tend to require cerebral stimulation. Can't a game just be a game sometimes? Does a game always have to be a journey into your soul?

This game is great fun. Shut off your brain and rely on your reflexes. Pump up the graphics settings and turn on the 3d sound. This game, a classic FIRST-PERSON SHOOTER, will allow you to go ... on skeletons, headless kamikazes, giant beasts(and I mean giant...unbelievable scaling) and rocket launching mechs. Don't worry, they arm you well. You can use a rocket launcher, Gatling, Auto-Shotty, Tommy Gun, and my favorite...A Canon. Yes, you run holding a cannon and launch cannon balls.

Additional note, me and 3 buddies connected via my cable modem connections. I hosted a cooperative game. Set the difficulty setting to SERIOUS and tackled this incredibly difficult game together. With the use of a communication software, we were laughing it up and talking ... while working our way through the entire game. Later, I finished this game by myself with the difficulty set to NORMAL and had almost as much fun.

Not too many better ways to spend... bucks. GO BUY THIS ARCADE-STYLE shooter.

Summary: Serious gaming fun
Review: This first thing i thought of when i played this game was Doom...except WITHOUT THE KEYS. Omg the only think i remember not liking about doom was the stupid keys you had to collect in the sometimes maze-like levels. This game reminds me so much of Doom 1 and 2 though, except with much better technology and movement of course, considering its been several years since those 2 games came out...

The game looks as good as Quake 3, at least as far as i car enough to look (too fun to notice), but it's more fun to play than Quake because it has a linear progression to it instead of just Deathmatch single player. As for multiplayer, this game also has deathmatch as well as scoring fragfests where you get more points for killing better players. However, unlike Quake3, this game comes with co-op muliplayer without having to buy the extra team pack (and you'll notice this game is.. up top...)

Easily the best deal for a FPS since Quake 3 with team play is.. more. This is the most fun I've ever had playing a FPS, and I've played them all (Doom, Quake, Unreal, UT, and counter-strike). This is a pure FPS.

Summary: A great game for a cheap price.
Review: You all sorts of weapons and one of the best is you can play it on 1 computer with a friend and using 1 keyboard and 1 mouse, but you can only use curtain joysticks and you can play online as well.

Summary: Best FPS next to Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force
Review: Well I am a HUGE fan of the FPS genre and Elite Force is my favorite game of all time. This comes really close, the only thing i doesn't have that elite force does is story line, the story in thsi games ..., but i never pay much attention to that anyways, great game play. Some say it gets boring fast, well i stayed up all night last night playing it, and I love it! it is by far one of the greatest games i have ever played, and to anyone who plays FPS, buy this game!
