Rating: Summary: This is a Great type of Game!!! Review: Serious Sam is great, because it breaks down boundaries. It puts more emphasis on action than plot than any game out today. Virtually no puzzles, if you can call them that, and straight up action. This is great, those gaming companies are learning that there are a lot of gamers out who like this type of game. I personally recommend this game and one other game, Mortyr. Buy Mortyr, it rules. It has terrible reviews, but if you like this, you will like Mortyr, trust me, it won't disappoint. Read my review of Mortyr, if you still have doubts.
Rating: Summary: Best FPS of the year Review: No more going around in circles for hours. This is pure, fast-paced, heart racing action. Battle an infinite number of monsters at a time and when you are done killing them, there are even more to come. I consider this one of the best FPS of all time.
Rating: Summary: Don't miss this one Review: Not much to say that hasn't already been said. The game rocks, and the cheap price overides its flaws. The monsters aren't all that great, and the weapons are nothing special, but the sheer amount of enemies bearing down on you is probably even harder than the old days of Doom and Doom2. Too bad the monsters here aren't as scary as a Baron of Hell or pink demon, but hey, maybe that will change in the sequel.
Rating: Summary: The fast-action paced FPS is back! Review: Not since Doom have I played a 3D shooter that is so fast-paced. This game has no emphasis on puzzle solving...! It's probably the best action-oriented FPS you can buy. Pick up your copy NOW!
Rating: Summary: Great Multiplayer FPS Review: My husband and I have been waiting for a FPS like this for a long time. In the tradition of Duke Nukem and Doom, Serious Sam supports cooperative multiplayer FPS gaming, including save and restore (once you get around the bugs in the software). The monsters come fast and furious, but there is enough ammo and health to let you get through them. In addition, there are "secret" stores of ammo, health, armor, etc. that entice you to slow down and take a closer look around rather than just blast your way to the next level. For us, the primary positive features are (1) First person rather than third (although SS suports third person view), (2) Good cooperative multiplayer play, (3) Save/load in multiplayer mode, (4) Ability to see through your partner's eyes. The one thing I would have liked that is not available in Serious Sam is a female skin (for obvious reasons). This is a small point, however, and does not detract from the gameplay in any way. The only other problem is that, even with the 1.02 patch, there are still bugs in multiplayer mode. We were finally only able to get around the bugs by moving one of the games from a 2000 machine to an XP machine. Another pleasant surprise was the reasonable price of the game. At [a reasonable], you don't hesitate to buy that second copy of the game for LAN gaming. I hope this inspires other game developers to go back to the best of the basics in first-person shooters.
Rating: Summary: THE best game I hvae ever played! Review: This games has great graphics. Its not like Unreal Tournament Or Quake III where u just run around shooting people. This game acually has an objective. It reminds me of Doom II, with much better graphics.
Rating: Summary: Great gam Review: This is probably the best action filled game i have ever played the graphicics are 5/5 the sound is 4.5/5 the fun you get from playing this game 5/5 this game is almost perfect the only that it could have been beter was if it was longer.
Rating: Summary: Duke Nuke 'em 3d 2 :) Review: Well, wave after wave of REALLY great looking baddies charge you, forever and ever... If you like this kind of game, you will LOVE Serious Sam. If you prefer the "halflife" mind game type thing, than you won't. It's as easy as that. The graphics are great, the plot has been done since before Doom ( rift to another diminsion/aliens from space/ect. ect./yadda yadda ) and it's multiplayer is GREAT.
Rating: Summary: Fun, but not so serious Review: The title is ironic, because there's not much serious about this game. It's a cheap thrill like... well, suffice it to say that Serious Sam is one of those quick and dirty pleasures in life.
In the spirit of Doom, SS throws dozens of monsters at you at once. You use an impressive arsenal of weapons and a plethora of ammo to blast them into little bits. The levels are well-textured but in the end are merely excuses to get you to the next room full o' baddies. Multiplayer has some bugs, but I'm sure they'll be fixed in upcoming patches. For [price], this is worth it for almost any FPS fan.
Rating: Summary: Back to the good ol' days of fun!! Review: Just playing the demo woke me from the Game duldrums. Just great fun to dive in guns and all and just not worry if your droid is doing the right thing. Gotta go blastin Later A
