Rating: Summary: One heel of a game to play! Review: This is a great game to invest in. The graphics are great and the gameplay is awesome. I haven't had a problem out of it yet. I'm on the 17th mission right now and I'm hooked on this game. Don't pass this one up or you'll regret it.
Rating: Summary: HORRIBLE!!!!WORST DF EVER!!!! Review: Compared to the other 2 Delta Forces, this one just doesn't measure up at all. First, they take away the grass and give extremely bleak maps. Second, an extremely lame and short campaign. Multiplay lacks support from Novalogic, and too many weapons. Take my advice and buy DF2 instead.
Rating: Summary: Good, but no cegar! Review: This game is great all around, but if you have played Delta Force 2 before you won't like this game that much. One thing they took away in DFLW is the grass. Now you cant hide as well as you could in DF2. The guns are awesome, but there is just too many if you ask me. Its a good game if you havent played any of the other Delta Force games yet. Take my advice get Delta Force 2 and wait for Delta Force 4!
Rating: Summary: What Can I Say...It's a GREAT Game!!! Review: I have all of the Delta forces and nothing compares to it. At first I had a little problem with the controls but after you learn them it's easy. This isn't like rainbow six but I would also recomend that if you like bringing down different terrorist organizations in cantained areas. The game play is as smooth as silk the sounds are are so relestic it sounds like you are their. The grafics are sooo good you can almost the terrorist eye lashes. On occasion I get annoyed(it takes alot to annoy me)at the game but it just keeps on pushing me to get right back in the game...
Rating: Summary: Fun stuff... Review: My only beef is that it would have been sweet to configure a joystick on this puppy. Other than that, this is a really fun, not too complicated, first person shooter.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Infantry Simulation Review: Delta Force Land Warrior is a significant improvement over Delta Force 1 and 2, which I also enjoyed greatly. The Voxelspace 3D terrain engine in DFLW is smoother, faster, cleaner and prettier than ever. 3D acceleration of buildings and characters introduced in DF2 and revised here is a bit crude by FPS standards, but it works well in the context of this large, open game. Overall gameplay is fantastic. As in earlier versions, weapon physics modeling is excellent. The game has wind drift, accurate ballistic trajectories (i.e. projectile drop), good footstep and weapon sounds. Characters have different strengths. Gunners can spray without much recoil effect; snipers have no scope drift; other players can swim or knife better. A new Medic character can heal other players for up to 30 seconds after they fall in combat. My favorite is sniping where you must make good use of the terrain for cover, concealment and movement, or you die. Despite the specialization, every soldier needs to have good general skills in order to survive. This is a game where you can snipe from half a mile away and engage in Close Quarters Combat with a submachine gun all in the same mission. Fog, haze or darkness add their own challenges and benefits in some maps. Like all of the Delta Force series, sounds are very useful tactically, but as before their quality could be a little better. It seems as if the sound designers deliberately chose to exaggerate some sounds to make them more distinctive. For example the squad machine guns are still too loud and the AK-47 sounds really tinny. But at least you can immediately tell what they are when you hear them, which is perhaps the point. Using your ears is as essential as using your eyes in this game, but I feel more life-like weapon sounds would be an improvement. This is not meant to be a very strong criticism; just a request for more realism. The sound technology is very well implemented and highly useful during gameplay. The single player missions are ok, but for me the best part of the game is multiplayer online games. Playing along side and against other humans is a blast. You can play on NovaWorld servers run by NovaLogic, or run your own server. Some of the NovaLogic servers keep statistics of your performance and you can get promotions, medals, etc. as you play. Non-"stat hosted" servers are a little more responsive to play on, but your kills and deaths don't count. Multiplayer games include deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, attack defend, team king of the hill, and flagball which is like CTF with a single re-appearing flag. Team games often feature good camaraderie, useful tactical messages from other teammates, and a good time for all. Regarding cheats and bugs, NovaLogic has been pretty prompt in releasing patches to fix these. DFLW is relatively free of bugs and cheats and Nova's handling of them is definitely improving. Delta Force Land Warrior is an excellent game. It's different from Unreal Tournament, Quake and other "bunny-hopping, rocket launcher down the hall" games. DFLW has a special place as a unique gaming experience, and it's one of the best Infantry Combat sims do date.
Rating: Summary: Coolest game in the world !!! Review: I had never seen a game that is better then Delta Force Land Worriors, it has coolest graphics and have better guns and characters then what rainbow six or hit man does !!!
Rating: Summary: As good as it gets Review: Everyone who gave this game high marks is right on the money. Here is my opinion (I don't play online so this review refers to single player only) I've enjoyed playing all three Delta Force games but this one is the best. I have played the single player missions about 4 times now and they are still fun. Unlike alot of shooters, heavy emphasis is placed on using your brain and not your gun. Running into a situation "John Woo" style not only will get you killed but also can cause a player to instantly fail the mission even if they survive. Covering for your squadmates, accurate shooting and quiet takedowns are essential skills that players must master in this game. There is also no "standard method" of completing a mission. You are dropped into the battle area with a list of objectives and your gear, how you proceed from there is up to you. The user interface is very easy to learn (1 minute) and configure. The most remarkable thing about this game is the player's ability to perform ultra-long range attacks while still being able to engage in close quarter indoor battles, during the same mission. You can take out a target (and vice versa) while its barely visible in the distance! Just like in the previous versions of Delta Force, players can choose from a wide assortment of weapons. Land Warrior has even more weapons in the arsenal and you can play as one of five different characters, each with a different specialty. The only negatives: I wish my squadmates were smarter, they sometimes run right into a fire fight disregarding their own safety and common sense. The enemy AI, although good, could be better. Tech support for this game could be better too. I downloaded a patch for this game (it runs fine on my machine, I was just being thorough) but it keeps blowing up. But these negatives should'nt deter one from buying this game. Get it, its good!
Rating: Summary: It fun to play online! Review: I play DF1 and DF2 a couple of times, but never really got into them. I played DF3(DFLW) and I have to tell you that it is fun to play. Also, The game has a great community of online players that are fun to play against and with. I recommend this game to anyone who likes online game play.
Rating: Summary: W.O.W.! Review: WHAT A WINNER! If you like high adreniline, sniper, ground commando, or heavy gunner tactics (manny more), you'll love this game. YUP, it's a keeper. When being a sniper on a shell shocking high preformance multiplayer with astounding graphics, go high in the mountains, and start shooting! But there is also a competitive campaign, in Egypt, (HAH! i'm still on the first level) and amazing exotic, colorful places with birds, trees, fortresses, and an astounding aray of weapons, you can almost do anything you can imagine.
