Summary: Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Review: This game was actually very good. The envirvoment is very dark, and gives you the feeling of a Nazi-controlled place. The music is also very good done, scary in the "occult"-events, and action-thriller-like when you're in action. The only fault, or problem, or whatever you would call it, is the undead. They just, well, don't fit. In every game/movie about Nazis fingering with "mysteries", there is always undead and the devil, and that kind of stuff. The story really needs to be reworked a little bit, because you already know what's going to happen, what the Nazis are hiding, and who you are going to fight against. It is a really good, maybe short, action game, but the story really needs work, because I think the story/plot of the game is really an important thing, if you are going to create a single player episode.

Summary: The *****BEST***** Game EVER!!!
Review: This has to be the best first person shooter ever. I've tried MOHAA and BF1942 but the characters and the way the game plays is just NOT the same. Single Player is tough (this is for the guy who said he died every 10 seconds) so you have to get good at it before you beat the game. Multiplayer maps are medium/small size and as soon as you jump in the action is waiting for you. BF1942 and MOHAA the maps seem to be too big and if server has low amount of players it takes forever to find someone you can kill. Wolf on the other hand is all action and a team-based game as Lieutenants share ammo, Medics share health packs, Engineers plant dynamite, etc... BUY this game NOW, you won't regret it. I would give it 10 stars if I could. There are literally 100s of custom made maps you can download for single and multiplayer levels too.

Review: This is essentially a compilation of the standard RTCW and all of the official downloadable maps. If you don't have RTCW, this is a great package, if you already have it; don't bother.

Summary: Great game, but who hasn't said that already!
Review: This is the best game I have ever played. It is funner than Quake (III) becuase you can actually go on MISSIONS with OBJECTIVES. It is a great story, not much of World War II, but it makes more sense than the original Wolfenstein. You get to ride a cable car, kill undead guys who attack you with ghosts, and some fire breathing ones, and much more. But some of the graphics are pretty cheesy becuase when you destroy a painting or flag, it usually just disappears and you don't see anything on the ground! I also hate the damage flash because the scrren turns totally red, instead of only a small amount or large amount, depending on the damage, like in the original Wolfenstein. It's a quite fun game with cheats too. Please buy this game, it's the best. Just make sure you have a smooth computer, and carefully look at the system requirements.

Summary: When the geeks rule...
Review: This is without and beyond any shred of doubt the single *worst* PC game that I have ever played.

I just got through with both Medal of Honor and the MOHAA expansion pack, and was really hungry for some additional WWII FPS. Man, was I EVER let down with this complete piece of garbage. Even on the easiest setting ("Don't Hurt Me"), I'd play ten seconds, then die. Play ten seconds, then die. Repeat ad nauseum. Even on the second level I was trapped for 80 attempts until I finally got through.

Look, I understand that the first Wolfenstein was highly regarded, and I get that the designers of this one felt they had to keep difficulty extremely high to please the online community. I can understand this philosophy if the game is very realistic-- aka Steel Beasts (a tank sim that's used for training the Danish army)-- but Wolfenstein is a FANTASY FPS game, for cryin' out loud!

I could go on, so I will.
-The sound quality is poor- I can with crystal clarity hear the digital "tinny" effect for some sounds.
-Gun physics and performance are *very* cheesy (especially in comparison with MOHAA, which took pains to replicate their firearm effects with some accuracy).
-Voice actors are horrible; I repeatedly found myself thinking Werner Kemperer (TV's "Col. Klink:") in some parts.
-Finally, the Users' Guide is neither.

I will never, ever have anything to do with this game again, and for me that's saying a lot-- I have at least 50 PC games. A complete waste of time... Avoid this one at all costs, guys!
(FWIW, my system is a Dell Pentium PIII 1.0 GHz, 500M RAM, with a new iNvidia 128-M video card.)

Summary: A wonderful package
Review: This rules. Not only does it have return to castle wolfenstien a wonderful game with its great multi play. It also includes game demos ,a full version of wolfenstien 3d {The eather remake or sequal to the oringal it was made in 1992 like doom where you shoot Nazis play it after you beat return to castle wolfenstein} and a behind the scenes making and seven additional multi maps and much much more. Definatly worth it. It also has booklet that provides great info and wofenstien history and lore. Do you return to castle wolfenstien game I beleive the fourth wolfenstein game. The first was a game called castle wolfenstien which was a 1983 apple 2 game. The second was wolfenstein 3d then spear of destiny and finaly return to castle wolfenstein. Get the extra in the package are a super bargain.

Summary: One of the best games out there
Review: Well, where to begin? This game was overwhelmingly satisfying in every way imagineable. My friend showed me it earlier this year, and it still hasn't lost any of its edge!

I loved the overall story with the Himler and the SS, HeinrichI, undead, etc. I've always been a sucker for the whole Nazi/occult thing, and this was no exception.

The music was also top-notch. I've caught myself absently humming it during the day, and stop abruptly since everyone is staring at me. The catacomb score was downright eerie, perfect for that particuar gameplay. The piece from the opening cutscene was so good I restarted the game several times just to hear it!

I thought the variation in levels was pretty good, my favourites being the Castle and the village levels. The assortment of bad guyswas decent, too. Overhearing the horrified officers(you know the ones), the angry mechanics, (them, too), and all the others was both interesting and amusing. Severalpeople have been complaining in these reviews about how the levels are kind of dark, but that's to be expected. It's wartime Europe, people, not a commercial for Lemon Tide!

The choices of weapons were varied- something for everyone!TIP:Ignore the flamethrower, it's prety much useless. I preferred the Thompson and double .45s(sigh) but it was a shame that they came with limited ammo. Oh, well.

I wanted to really say something clearly to all the people I've read who claim this has nothing to do with WWII and the zombie thing is overdone:
For the love of God, open your eyes! This is a COMPUTER GAME, not fact! F-I-C-T-I-O_N! What did you think was going to happen, you'd singlehandedly win the Battle of the Bulge?! Meet Hitler?! Try to kill him?! NO! This is a game, manufactured for the purpose to entertain for a price. And so what if Nazis once again intermingle with the supernatural? It works. It's entertaining. Period.

People have also been whining about the toughness of the game. I admit that I can't beat it on "Bring 'em on", but at least I didn't have to use cheat codes for "Don't Hurt Me". I managed to beat RTCW in a little under a week, and people (who are clearly exaggerating) claim to be still stuck on Level 2. Two. Ten second of life? Please, stop embarrassing yourself. Or just stop lying.

I think I've said my bit on Return to Castle Wolfenstein. In my humble opinion, I say buy it, play it, and play it again.
