Rating: Summary: Another Great Game in the Dark Forces Series Review: Ok, for anyone who liked the Dark Forces Series, or anyone who even likes shooters they'll LOVE this game. In this game you don't get to be Kyle... but that dosen't mean that he won't be in the game! At the start of the game you get to create your own jedi with tons of options like: you get to choose you species, Human, Female Human, Twi'lek, Rodian(Personal Favorite!), Zabrak, and Kel Dor. After that you make your lightsaber: choose your color, hilt, then you go into the game! But don't think you'll only get a single blade lightsaber, because you'll get to have a double blade (like Darth Mauls) too! Also you'll get to have two single blades (one in each hand!) and be able to fight with one and throw the other! Oh I almost forgot the force powers! Well, I'll list them for you with brief explanations: Force Push (push stuff like enemies or thermal detonaters), Force Pull (pull stuff like weapons and items), Force Speed (can make jedi go 100% faster on highest level), Force Jump (makes jedi jump a hole lot higher), Mind Trick (can distract or allie enemies), Force Heal (heals jedi), Force Absorb (can absorb dark side force powers and push and pull), Force Protect (decreases damage taken from attack), Force Sence (like force seeing exept that you can see items also), Force Rage (speeds up your movement and attack damage and speed), Force Drain (Drains Health from other NPCs and replenishes your health), Force Grip (Chokes enemies), Force Lightning (Lets out a electric burst of lightning out of your finger tips), well that prett much sums up to a AWESOME game, if you would like more info on this game go to: http://www.lucasarts.com/products/jediacadamy/index.htmlI hope this Review helps anyone to deside to buy this game I would recamend this game to any gamer out there.
Rating: Summary: If You Enjoyed Jedi Outcast, You'll Enjoy Jedi Academy Review: Not everyone liked Jedi Outcast. For instance, I've heard many complaints about the lightsaber mechanics. I however loved Jedi Outcast and found Jedi Academy to be more of the same saber swinging fun. I admit, I'm a Star Wars fan, so maybe the ability to force push people to their death while the classic John Williams Star Wars music plays in the background is too much gaming bliss for me to resist but I still think this game would be fun for people not in love with the Star Wars universe. I'm sure it helps though to at least have watched the original trilogy. For those that played the first game, there are two significant changes. One is that your Jedi can now wield dual lightsabers (i.e. Anakin Skywalker vs. Count Dooku in Episode II) or a double-bladed lightsaber (i.e. Darth Maul in Episode I). The second largest difference is that you can now pick your missions instead of following a linear story driven path like Jedi Outcast did. There is still a terrific story in Jedi Academy and every so often you're forced to go on a specific mission to move the story but you're allowed a little more freedom than the other game. Perhaps my only complaint about this game would be a weak online community. Only time will tell if gamers will design their own modifications for the sequel but compared to other popular first-person shooters, there aren't many servers available for online play and most of them don't allow you to use your force powers. If you've ever desired to wield a lightsaber, this is the game for you! It's a fun title that breathes fresh life into the first-person shooter genre.
Rating: Summary: Greatest Jedi Knight game ever so far Review: A 2-disc JK game. Wanderful graphics with a Geforce2 MX400 64MB. Smoothly playing game. MP needs some more work and it has a update already out. Recommended RAM: 256 for the full settings and 128 min. Story line is great. Force powers and Charater stuff is nice. Dual,Single, or Staff sabers are alsome to the game!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Best shooter of 2003 Review: I havn't actualy played this game... but I do know alot about it. I'm not going into alot of details about the storyline, because I think the action and character creation and things like that are the better part of this game. ( Although it does have a good storyline! ) Here goes: The action in this game looks AWESOME! At the begining you get to create your own character, and your own lightsaber! (Cool huh?) Then after that you go into training at the jedi academy. After you complete that you go into selecting your mission, that has its own objectives and, when you finish those you win that level, mission, whatever. The levels are suposed to be 2x as big as that of jedi outcast. (Which if you have played JO you know there pretty big.) There's also suposed to be some amount of side mission things along with the other 15 some missions. (But for those again who have played JO,they should know that there's different little seperated objective's and areas in each mission.) So that amounts to a pretty big, action packed, awesomly sweet, StarWars game! I hope this helped anyone who read this! P.S. I'm actualy 14 years old.
Rating: Summary: Naturally Fantastic Review: Lucasarts produces only fantastic games. Try Jedi Academy and Knights of Old Republic. My only issue with this one is the lack of combo moves you can do, and the difficulty of dispatching enemy jedi. Do play this game. Its worth it, and does justice to the Old Jedi Knight II with Kyle Kataryn and Jerec.
