Rating: Summary: A marvel for a new Jedi gamer... Review: I started my gaming career four years ago with Half-Life and its "mods." With this recent game from LucasArts, I was amazed at its graphics and levels and shocked that the same company that produced "X-Wing" could make something similar to Unreal, Half-Life, or other shooter games. I only wish that this game would be more stable on my Win OS; I had to restart the game a couple of times before continuing. And I also hope that LucasArts would stick more towards PC's rather than producing it's Star Wars games for gaming consoles.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME GAME!! Review: I have played this game many times, and I just love it! Of course, I have only played the PC version, but I heard this Mac OS X version will be even better! You are given an arsenal of blasters, laser rifles, grenade launchers, and of course, your ol' reliable lightsaber. A variety of force powers are presented, such as pushing away enemies with the flick of the wrist, lightning that comes from your fingertips, "force choking", and of course, jedi mind tricks! (messing with people's minds is fun, remember?!) Many familiar areas from the Star Wars universe are scattered throughout the game, and there are hundreds of stormtroopers, Imperial officers, and Sith Lords (just to name a few) that are just asking for a lightsaber whuppin'! The only reason why I gave this game a four-star rating was because of some difficulties like cheap deaths and some hard-to-do techniques with your lightsaber, but that is the only thing! (and it only relates to my skill at games, anyway) When this game is released, BUY IT! It's the coolest Star Wars action/shooter experience!
Rating: Summary: GRAPHICS BITE... Review: THIS IS NOTHING LIKE JEDI KNIGHT 2 OUTCAST, THIS GAME IS HORRIBLE COMPARED TO "JEDI KNIGHT 2 OUTCAST" THAT'S GOT GREAT GRAPHICS AND PLAYING, I DONT RECOMMEND THIS GAME...
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Multiplayer Review: The multiplayer fun in this game is unbelievable. There are so many ways to play and strategy/tactics to apply. The configuration of your force powers will say a lot about you. Are you on the light side, where you can only absorb the dark side, protect, and heal, or the dark side, where you electrify, choke, and steal?
The sabers make this game. You have three fighting styles, and no one can ever forget the backward stab after they've impaled an opponent. In combination with your force powers, the saber is UNBELIEVABLY COOL!
Peep this: You can force pull your enemy's weapons out of their hands. You can force push grenades or missiles BACK at the person who launched them! You can throw people off ledges, you can choke someone, pick them up, and drop them off a cliff. You can force push someone onto the ground, then shoot them as they try to get up. You can force pull someone to you, and saber them as they try to stand. You can drop detonation charges in a busy area, and blow them up remotely. (More than one way to kill a Jedi!) If someone force chokes you, you can push them away, or whip out a blaster and empty a clip into them! I can go on and on...
And the saber fights aren't just random swinging. You definitely have a well-built melee design in this game.
All in all, I would say this is one of the most enjoyable first person shooters ever made. Go Lucasarts!...
Rating: Summary: Great game, average price, awesome multiplayer! Review: Everbody is probably gonna get mad at me for giving it 4 stars, but nothing [in this world] deserves 5... I don't actually own this game myself [yet], but my friend just bought it the other day and I love it! We haven't even gotten to the part where the dude supposedly gets his lightsaber and force powers, but the large levels and awesome game play with the kick a$$ graphics keep us playing. The multiplayer will probably keep much of the owners playing past the point of beating the game because of the endless possibilities and skill thriving gameplay. I [myself] really enjoy the "bot" feature in the multiplayer mode which gives you the ability to play "multiplayer" without playing against laggy and rude opponents from half way around the world (of course if your like that, you still can). Overall a great game that will get its $40+ worth! Buy it today!
Rating: Summary: Great Game Review: I've had this game for about two months now, and I really like it. I've been a fan of the Dark Forces series for years, and this is probably the best game yet. The force powers are very cool and well done (I loved throwing stormtroopers off cliffs especially.) The single player rivals Half-life as one of the best yet. I'm very impressed with the graphics of the game also. The lightsaber duels are amazing, as opposed to Jedi Knight 1, where they were kind of poorly done (but still good.) I highly recommend this game, so far it is the best new game I've played this year.
Rating: Summary: THIS GAME ROCKS!!!! Review: This game has everything. It has cool weapons, great storyline, and wonderful sound. This game is at the top of my list.
Rating: Summary: bad graphics Review: The gameplay is fun put you would beat it pritty fast because i think it is easy but you might not. the graphics are horrible that why i gave it a 3-star rating. i think the game was okay.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: I beat the game it had super grapics and each level was pritty hard. The last level has alot of tricks made by Dessan
Rating: Summary: Being a Jedi sure pays off Review: In Jedi Outcast you play as this ex-Jedi Kyle Katarn who nearly fell to the Dark Side in Dark Forces: Jedi Knight. The gameplay is simple... Hard puzzles to solve, lots of stormtroopers to kill, re-learning your force powers and defeating Reborn and the dark Sith lord Desann. Its a lot more fun than I make it sound...
Then there's multiplayer. Its got CTF, FFA, Team FFA, Duel (this is nice for those who just want a nice lightsaber fight to themselves), CTY (dont ask) and exclusive force powers for multiplayer. You can choose whether to be a Dark or Light Jedi, (offensive/defensive) and are given a set amount of force points to spend on powers. Best of all you don't need a real high-end p4 system to play this, it handles well on my p3 450 mhz and TNT2 video card.
