Summary: Great Game! and Realistic too!!!!!
Review: Driver is a realistic driving game which is a lot of fun. There are four citys, Miami, San Frascisco, Los Angelos, and New York. You are actual a undercover police officer, but only one or two people in the police department know you are under cover. So the cops till chase you. It has a good story line. You can see a lot of famous sights in the game. In San Frascrisco they have the Golden Gate Bridge. In Los Angelos you can see the Holly Wood sign. In New York they have the World Trade Center, the Empire State Builing, and the Brooklyn Bridge. They also have a lot of other sights. It works good on a joystick too. It has very good music. The music adds a lot to the game. You can also make your own car police chases in the auto director. You can make the police cars look relly stupid. When you beat the game you get a lot of cheats. They are funny because you can go relly fast and see all these cars go flying
My only Complate is it has no muliplayer options. If you want a multiplayer I think Driver for playstation has it.
This is one of the most realistic driving games I ever played. So if you want something like that you should get Driver or another good game is Midtown Madness.

Summary: Great graphic-wise, but lacking in afew areas.
Review: Driver is no doubt one of the best auto games I've come across when it comes to graphics, realism, etc. etc. The cities do look like cities with your crowded streets and traffic systems. And as far as the levels being the same as the cities in real life, they DO resemble them with the streets/landmarks/etc. Plus the physics are pretty realistic as well as far as I can tell. But, lone behold, there are problems, though some people may be able to tolerate them more than others. First off, the cops DO NOT act like cops in real life! They drive more like psychopathic maniacs than law enforcers. Ever watch one of those police chase shows on TV? I guarantee you would not see the cops attempting to ram a suspect head on going at 80 miles per hour on one of those shows...not to mention if you DID hit someone head on going that fast your car would be totalled (in the game if this occurs, it takes around a quarter of your damage meter) plus you'd be dead. But I suppose if the game were THAT realistic, it wouldn't be fun, now would it? And what ever happened to keeping the innocent safe? The cops cause more accidents than I do, for crying out loud! The other cars also pretty much move at the same speed throughout the levels, even on the freeways (30 or 40 mph). Well, enuff of the complaints.

Whenever I play this game, i usually just run from the cops thru Miami and San Francisco, since I'm too lazy to even bother with the Undercover stuff. The game is actually quite challenging (bad news for me...heheh), so if you're up for it, go right ahead. I'll just say that you will probably like this game if u buy it, so if you are a fan of auto games and the sort, be sure not to miss this one if you haven't played it already!

Summary: What a blast.
Review: Driver is one of the best city driver simulation game out there. I love the '70s cars and the music. The bad thing in the game is you only get 2 cities to drive in until you complete the test and several misions in career mode. I had to use the two car CHEATS to get all the cities and move along in the game. I love the crashes and the cops that dont leave you alone til you die. The graphics are great and the cities look real. People on the street walk and then run when you come at them. I recomend this game to any one who likes the older cars and realism.

Summary: Great control, Poor AI
Review: Driving the car around towns modeled after famous cities is really cool, and the smooth handling of the car is sweet. You can even play movie director, and adjust camera angles to make a cinematic sequence like the old "Starsky and Hutch" car chases of the 70's.

The big problem is that the artificial intelligence behind the game is really dumb. The other cars seem to wander aimlessly through red traffic lights, and police cars will chase after you for no reason whatsoever.

Also, most of the missions senselessly require you to race across town to pickup someone (usually a criminal) within a short amount of time, which will almost certainly attract the police to come chase you, even before the real crime is committed.

Another disappointment is that after passing a pretty cool skills trial to prove that you are a worthy driver, you can never really use those fancy driving maneuvers, like the 360, to evade a police chase.

The bottom line is that this is a great driving game from the look and feel of it, but the the reality of the simulation is really, really dumb. The missions are pretty disappointing because they force you to drive like a maniac to evade the police instead of using some sort of strategy to remain low-key.

Summary: Driver is Awesome!
Review: First of all, if you like driving games, get DRIVER! It's a whole lot of fun. It's relatively easy to play, and if you play it long enough, you get cheats. The main object is to run from the cops. You have a felony meter and damage meter. The more you make a cop mad, the more felony you get. If your damage level goes all the way up, you're dead. It's the ultimate racing game. (...) So you aren't getting a bad price for hours of non-stop, action-filled gameplay. It's a definent must buy for all PC gamers!

Summary: ...Simply the best...
Review: For the cheapest price you can imagine, you can buy this awesome game! If you go into the Driver directory, you can edit the game easily and it is fun to see what editing the files can do! I don't think any game could be better than this one, not only is it cheap, but you don't need the disk to play it; so feel free to lose it. The driving system in it works quite well, and the keyboard setup is fantastic!
This is my favorite game.

Summary: Good game? bad game? I don't know!
Review: Hey, maybe this is a good game, but maybe if I got a chance to play it I would know. The game is completely messed up. If I want to just drive around in a city, the game freezes before I can even get out of the parking garage! I don't know if it's my computer, because, I bought it, then I returned it because it kept freezing, and got another one. Then, I get home and what do you know? It still freezes! Did anyone else experience this?

Summary: Check the non-Jewel Case version for my review
Review: I actually wrote my review for the non-Jewel Case version of the game without realizing it (I bought the Jewel Case version). So check it out there. I would like to add that I am driving with a racing wheel (Logitech MOMO is awesome) and I would not be playing this game otherwise. The game is awesome!!!

Summary: Awesome
Review: I got this game at store for ten bucks and it was the best ten bucks I've ever spent! The graphics are good, the action is fast-paced, and the replay value will keep you coming back. Not to mention, it has a "Director" mode that lets you make your own movies. It's a definite must for any action gamer.
