Rating: Summary: Great, great, great game; my all-time favorite Review: This game is my favorite game of all time. It is absolutely funny, it is absolutely fun, and absolutely a game you should get regardless of how old it is. Note: Full Throttle will work in Windows XP just fine. So get it!
Rating: Summary: Great game Review: This game is, quite possibly my fifth favorite game (next to the monkey island series, of course!) LucasArts are in my opinion the best adventure game creators on the market. This game is very similar to Monkey Island or Grim Fandango (in fact its made by the same person who created Grim Fandango I believe). I enjoyed playing this game so much, that I was devastated when I lost it. There are days when you can find me rummaging through my basement trying to find that jewel case. But that's not the point. This game has excellent controls (point & click interface and an inventory for all the items that you may find useful along the way. This game is tremendously long the first time through if you do not use any walkthroughs or tips. It can get slightly tiring when you find yourself walking back and forth searching for a person or object that you may have missed before. Even if you do use walkthroughs, the game is a satisfying experience. I have beaten it at least 4 times, and each time it is still as good as the first, mainly because you can still experience the thourough storyline that Full Throttle delivers.I have not decided whether I should buy this game again, and I think I might wait until Full Throttle 2 comes out to consider it. All in all, a great adventure game with hours of endless fun. Quite an experience.
Rating: Summary: Great game, never got enough hype Review: This is by far one of my favorite games ever. It's fun and completly engrossing. You ought to know it's short though I'd say off the bat its about two maybe two and a half hours worth of playing. But its also the kind of game you can play ten times and it never gets old. This game definitely didn't get the popularity it deserved.
Rating: Summary: Guybrush who? Review: Those of you looking for a cool adventure game should seriously consider this. Unlike other genres, adventure games don't NEED the latest graphics to prove that they're good. They need plot and puzzles. Unlike most games of its type, Full Throttle doesn't mess around trying to crack crappy jokes, but at the same time it doesn't take itself too seriously. All the characters are totally believeable and you warm to them really well (the good guys, anyway). Its hard to make a game that will make the gamer care. This really nice guy gets murdered in it, and you're actually touched deep down and its quite emotional, as if it were a film. Another great thing about this game is that you can fight on the road. As a biker, you get to fight other bikers using chains, fists, planks of wood, whatever you can find. You also get to take part in a destruction derby. Add that to the fact that the music is seriously cool. With perhaps the exception of Iron Maiden in Carmageddon 2, this has the best soundtrack ever. You can find the soundtrack on an album by the Gone Jackals called Bone To Pick. This game has it all. Plot, meaning, puzzles, action and emotion, and fortunately it is cliche-free. Don't bother shelling out on the new Monkey Island games (which are nothing compared to the first two), go buy this now. It may be little short, but it's a classic.
Rating: Summary: Wonderfull Review: What can I say, It's a Lucas arts game so it's just perfect, sure not as challenging as Monkey Island but mixes with a little of action and bike fights and has a great and funny history fun guaranteed
Rating: Summary: A great game, but... Review: Without a doubt, Full Throttle is one of the greatest adventure games I've ever played for all the reasons listed by other reviewers. The major bone I have to pick with this edition is that it has *not* been modified to use DirectX and as such it will almost certainly cause problems for anyone who's not using a sound card that's 100% compatible with the old Sound Blaster / SB16 / AWE32 cards (newer cards like the SBLive! and SB Audigy are *NOT* 100% compatible!). If none of that jargon makes sense to you, then let me put it this way: if you are an average user putting the CD in your system, the likelihood that this game will not work "as-is / out-of-the-box" is high. Your best bet to get this thing running is to go buy an ancient 486 computer and load the antiquated Windows 3.1 / MS-DOS on it to play some of the classic DOS games.
Rating: Summary: A C-L-A-S-I-C Review: you like video games this is a classic really good game if you it will never get old you must have this game is phat as hell
