Rating: Summary: bad game Review: Its really not worth your money. After you play the first stage, you will be amazed how beautiful and creative people from Westwood studios are. But after the second, third stage, you will realize that there's no point to beat this game. Ackward graphics, repetitive and boring. And its slow too. I'm sure that people who give this game 5 star is just playing the first stage only. WARNING: Because of slow and dropping framerates, dizziness and motion sickness will occur after half an hour playing.
Rating: Summary: Why this game is below average... Review: I was appalled at the look of this game. I have been playing for about 6 hours now, and I can't believe that this game was made in the last 2 years. The graphics are lame, and the confusing layouts of the levels leave much to be desired. The Enemy AI is weak, almost embarrassing at times. I tried, but could not connect to an online multi-player game, but I can tell already that it will be nowhere as fun or pretty as Tribes 2 is. Tribes 2, a game that was released about a year before this title, makes this game look like a bunch of brain damaged monkeys made it. I LOVED the C&C games, and still play from time to time, even if Red Alert had some ramping issues. I think that it is a shame that so many people will buy this game, and think that this is the best that current 3-d shooters have to offer. Pass on this, and take a look at Medal of Honor Allied Assault for a great single player game, or Tribes 2 for on-line multi-player fun. Westwood should be embarrassed that this title shipped looking the way it does.
Rating: Summary: Fun but needs work. Review: I bought this game and i was happy with it for a while but i got tired of it after a while. 1.The gameplay is fun but alot of the advantages lean towards Yuri's side i mean you cant send any kind of airforce in because they get blown to pieces by the gattling cannons. You cant send in any tanks or infantry because they get took over by there physic towers and the only thing you can send in are robotic tanks which are cheap but very littly armored. And the sea is as much as impossible to fight in yuri's boomer subs have two torpedos instead of one and can fire ballistic missiles from a safe distance. But the other houses capabilities arent all weak like the soviets war bunker building which is very useful against almost anything but can bee destroyed easliy.2.Like youve heard in the past reviews the game is to short and to easy I didnt need any help whatsoever beating it, in RA2 I needed help on the last allied mission its pathetic i know but some of us are only human. Now dont get me wrong i dont mind blowing [up] people or taking things over and using them against my enemies but they should at least be able to fight back or at least blow up some of my defenses Im a turtle and not the best at offense but the AI is horrible. Good game for fun and kicks on a friday night but not for replay.
Rating: Summary: For those of you who enjoy strategy games... Review: Anybody who as ever played a strategy game and enjoyed it, this is the game for you! I borrowed this game from a friend for one day, and the next day I was out at the store buying it. I have been playing it for as long as I can remember, and I still try to play it as much as possible. Some people are saying that this game requires no strategy whatsoever. Well, people who say that are most likely not winning a game right now. That is because they do not play with strategy, they simply build thirty tanks and watch them get blown up by the enemy defenses. As with any RTS game, you need to use strategy. Build forty-five tanks, send fifteen to the enemy base, and distract them. Then, send your remaining thirty tanks and annihilate their base. Unless I am mistaken, that is considered a strategy. Of course, I must admit, Westwood Studios COULD have made Red Alert 2 with a Three-Dimensional engine, but that's not important. Sure, it may have a cheesy story and ultra-cheeseball cutscenes, but none of these things interfere with the fun gameplay of Red Alert 2. As for parents worried about their children playing bloody, gory games, fear not! Red Alert 2 has no blood or gore at all. Oh, and also, there is no swearing. All that I can say to you now is: BUY RED ALERT 2! You will not be dissapointed!
Rating: Summary: This is the best game if you likefun and action Review: This game is the best game I have ever had. The best thing is the graphics are amazing. There are dogs that kill men when in sight, there are tanks that can destroy other tanks. There are different teams forexample:Russia,France,ect.... This game is so fun it can make you sit in front of the computer for hours on end, at one time I sat in front of the computer for a whole day. Red Alert has the best outline you could possibly think of. France has probably got the best defence ever because the Grand Cannon Defence can be very brutal when the opposition get in range of this brutal weapon. The Germans have a tank destroyer which can destroy a tank easily but it can not destroy a person easily. Russia has to be the best because it's Teslia Tanks, Teslia Men and Teslia coils are the perfect things to destroy Men, Tanks and Buildings plus if you put a Teslia Man by your Teslia Coil you can power up your Teslia Coil which has a longer range and is a lot more powerful then the Teslia Coil itself.
Rating: Summary: What is this supposed to be? Review: Hm...When I first bought Renegade, I was expecting something to rival Halo (the best shooting game in the world), but instead, I was met with a pile of crud. Although its good qualities include that its so creative and that the multiplayer is exquisite (because online, there's an excuse for choppiness!) On single player, the missions are boring, long and frustrating in which all you do is shoot Nod soldiers and move. The weapons function oddly as well. Pressing 'R' to reload commonly makes your weapon reload two or three times and then shoot continuously, wasting your new clip anyway! Guns become weak in multiplayer and base defenses make it nearly impossible to infiltrate an enemy base. The choppiness I mentioned earlier is abundant in single player mode for no reason and the graphics look awful. The environments look as though poor children in sweat shops built them out of milk cartons in a country that had never seen milk cartons before! You also can adjust the graphics, but it makes the game ridiculously slow and choppy. Westwood sure spent its time making this 'crap-in-a-box' game, but the three years of programming seemed to have done nothing. The original screen shots from 1998 looked better than it does now. I just can't understand it. If you're looking for a game to be disappointed with, plop down 5000 lonesome soldiers for Renegade and get a good laugh at its thousands of problems.
Rating: Summary: Best Game Ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: My Friend is a beta tester for westwood stuidos. When he told me about a FPS for C&C I was thrilled. I asked him when it came out. When It finally did I went and bought it immideatly. The single player is a lot of fun, but the multiplay is the best I have ever played. I have also herd that they are devolping flying vehicles along with the many land vehicles. I sugest you go and buy this game RIGHT NOW ...
Rating: Summary: It's a keeper! Review: If Red Alert 1 makes you say "Holy!" or "Cool" well Westwood strikes again. Red Alert 2 is the best game. Get Red Alert 2 too!I got this at [local store](I think) And that was denfitly worth the money. Thanks and God Bless!!!!!!* *you and the United States
Rating: Summary: This game, as game of the year written all over it Review: This game is just so awesome, it brings the C&C world of old to life. All i can say, you like FPS games, this is must buy. You will love it. Awesome multiplayer, i get no lag time.
Rating: Summary: This is not the demo Review: For those of you who played the demo and wanna write a bad review on it, sit down. i played the demo and was not impressed, instead I waited for when HALO would be released for PC. (Oh, yeah it is coming.) Then a freind let me his copy. Everything had changed. It was awesome, the problems were gone and replaced by a smooth game. Granted there are some bugs, but what FPS doesn't have those. I immediately went out and bought it. I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but I've been busy. I recommend this game. If you like C&C this is a great throw back to the early games. If you like FPS's, this has solid gameplay with some cool weapons. (Just check out the beacon for the orbital ion cannon!)If you're a FPS verteran, you'll like the innovations and feel comfortable in the old-school style. This game is just plain good. Even the keyboard controls are easy to use and master. If you're looking for a good game in the FPS style until HALO for PC or Metroid Prime for Game Cube, Renegade has you covered.
