Rating: Summary: OMG don't buy this game Review: A long time ago I bought Novalogic's land warrior game. It was great so I bought Delta Force: Task Force Dagger by NovaLogic. What a mistake, this game is full of cheaters worse than counter-strike. You will pull out your hair playing online, especially at Novalogic's servers. Forget about complaining to the company you can't even contact them. I am a gamer and I must inform you that buying this game will be the biggest mistake you will make. I would have rather given away my money!!! If you own this already you understand. Now some novalogic moron will write back a response to disagree. So go waste your money, but at least ask other gamers who have played this game before purchasing.
Rating: Summary: To each his, or her, own... Review: Being a fan of Novalogic's Delta Force series, and military FPS' in general, I was stoked when this game hit the shelves last Summer. This game didn't disappoint me and I'm still playing it regularly 6 months or so later. I've played both SOF's, Rainbow Six, Wolfenstein, etc and none of them grab me like these DF games do; especially DFTFD! Many argue that the Afghanistan backdrop was a marketing device, and make complaints about the game's weak enemy AI, but let's face gaming reality people:single play is for basic training, what really makes this game is it's multi-play and it's as-you-go miltary ranking system. As anyone who's played these games knows when you make General, after struggling for so long to get there, you really feel like you've accomplished something. Another MAJOR point in favor of this game is the no hassle servers provided by Novalogic. No Game Spy type hassles here, just log on and let that M4 Sopmod rip on automatic. Any game has its problems (Wolfenstein anyone?) but TFD's are overshadowed by great multi play, up to the minute storyline, new weaponry, and Novalogic's excellent servers. Now that it's less than 20 bucks, with Novalogic's latest Black Hawk Down arriving in stores in a few days, you won't get so bummed if you dont dig the game.
Rating: Summary: Its LW for Afghanistan Review: Delta Force is the simply the best FPS. Although Novalogic's engine isn't the best - when it comes to multiplayer nothing else stands in it's way. In addition, the DF community is sure to grasp TFD the same way it has with the other titles. So you can look forward to hundreds of maps and dozens of great mods.
Rating: Summary: Great Game Review: Delta Force: Task Force Dagger is the next in the line of, so far, 3 other Delta Force games, the last being Land Warrior and the next, Black Hawk Down. All have been created mainly by Novalogic, but this time they are being assisted by Zomebie Studios. Ok, now to the good stuff! Task Force Dagger is supposed to contain about 30 new weapons, and 25 new missions, but probably one of the coolest features is that you can choose from different types of characters, not just gunner, sniper, cqb, medic, nader, from Land Warrior, but things such as SEALS, Army Rangers, and, of course, Delta Force operatives. The enourmous levels given out by Novalogic and enourmous servers hosting countless numbers of players won't stop in this game either. The game was planned to be released on May 22nd i believe, but was pushed back until June 26th, and God knows why Amazon but nobody else has it, so it may be better to wait a little while before purchasing the game, because the only real point to buy the game is for the multiplayer ability. Stats are recorded. Your time in the hill, number of flags captured, kills, shots, everything. That is one awesome feature, and the better your statistics are, the higher you move up in rank. The single player game is the only weakness of the franchise, enemies have never been very smart, and a simple one shot with the pistol in the leg can take an enemy down. More teamwork could be used in the missions as well as other features, but the co-operative mode can be a blast, but can be pretty dull sometimes. The game comes with a mission editor in which levels can be created by the public and played on Novaworld. That is also an interesting feature that proves to be very beneficial, even though the maps created by Novaworld are also pretty wonderful. This game has got to be one of the greatest multiplayer marvels of all time, and will give the various Star Wars and other multiplayer games a run for their money, with almost all players that have Land Warrior already hellbent on picking up this next game in the popular series. The only down side is the single player missions, but users can also create their own, and multiplayer is all you'll really do once you get the game. It's a great game and i recommend you to purchase it.
Rating: Summary: Hmm.. Review: First of all my keycode was already in use by 5 other Nova accounts. So I contacted support. It's non-existant. I got an email back which looked like it was "automated". It didn't give me any info about my problem exept tell me about copied keycodes. I also have alot of problems with the game crashing when I try to play multiplayer. And again, tech support was no help. The only reason I bought this game was because I liked Land Warrior. I wouldn't recommend anyone wasting their money on this game.
Rating: Summary: Delta Force Has Terrible Graphics But still fun!!! Review: FOR all you people who said THE AI are Dumb You are wrong!! You can Adjust the AI to Easy Normal and HARD Just go to your player Bob Viper12 whatever and go to player settings and go to gameplay and adjust the AI. This Game IS VERY fun if you Snipe Enemys and has Some Teamates to Cove your back this game IS pretty good. This Is the Best Delta Force game yet. Get Delta Force Black Hawk down Team Sabre If you want a great DElta force game.
Rating: Summary: Lame as hell Review: Go buy Delta Force 2/Delta Force Land Warrior and download a trainer. Novalogic NEVER updates the games and the anti-cheating protection is non-existant! The gameplay is bad enough, AI [stinks], weapons [stink], game engine [stinks].
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your money. Review: Having played many of the Delta Force games, I'd say this is the WORST release of them all. This series has always suffered from weak enemy AI and Task Force Dagger is no exception. The design work was hurried as there are many glitches. You can find crates floating 6 inches off the ground, large gaps from poor alignment in the tunnels, and events that don't trigger just to name a few. All-in-all, a shoddy piece of work.
Rating: Summary: A continuation of LW Review: Hey its all good man. DFLW and TFD both give up realism for playability, but thats what makes me fire these games back up again and again. Other simulations are not quite on the mark, such as Ghost Recon, where the terrorists can pop you with an iron-sight AK47 from over 500 yards and your movement is very clunky. My only criticism of both LW games is the FNG and the M249. Too many players run around firing madly with this gun and can hit you from amazing distances. This is just plain unrealistic. They should modify the physics of these two weapons to make them very inaccurate past a certain range. I can always spot a bad player when I see him bouncing around near hills firing away with an FN, taking advantage of 2 major bugs, the 'hill bug' and the unrealistic accuracy of the FN. Multiplayer is the best part of this game bar none. Playing against humans is better than playing against the computer. Since there isn't too much thats new here, buy it when its in the sale bin.
Rating: Summary: My husband loves it.... Review: I am reviewing for my husband who must LOVE this game, since he plays it EVERY SINGLE NIGHT :)
