Summary: Midtown Madness 2
Review: Midtown Madness 2 is an excellent followup to Midtown Madness. It has twice the cars, and literally twice the cities. The cities are very well laid out, with all the important landmarks and places to see, as in the first one. There is a wide range of new cars in MM2, including all of the cars from the first one. The damage textures have been improved, with parts that fall off your car, such as a rear spoiler or a bumper. And there is always the awesome internet play, as with the first one. As good as it may seem, there are some drawbacks. Midtown Madness 2 isn't really that different from the original. Microsoft just added new cars and cities, and that was it. I was hoping for different types of gameplay from the first one. Ii is a great game, but if you have the original Midtown Madness, stick with that. But if you're looking for a new racing game, this is it.

Review: Midtown 1 was a great game. Midtown 2 is even better.

Summary: Still the greatest street-racer game.
Review: I was kind of disappointed with this sequel. I expected to see the kind of things you see in games that have the "2" in the title, but they were only slightly improved. The graphics engine is the same, physics are the same, tracks and cars are what Angel Studios promised with the first title, that they were going to be downloadable via the Internet, but now we have to buy them. If you enjoyed the first one enough to complete all the race modes, then think about this game as an "Expansion Set". If you haven't play the first one, then this is the racing game you've been waiting for.

Summary: More of Everything That Made the First One Great
Review: If you're a fan of arcade racing, the titles in the Midtown Madness series are must-haves as they provide two things every great racer needs: depth and consistent performance online. MM2 allows you to drive the majority of cars from MM1 right at the beginning, and while you work to unlock other cars, you're also awarded 'groovy' paint jobs to fit the post-Austin Powers-era London and hippy-esque San Francisco. Everything that you could want-and expect-MM2 to have is here: Blitz, Checkpoint, Cruise and Cops and Robbers racing, customizable time-of-day and weather effects, and, yeah, even the hammy voice acting is back. At least this time around you get several voices to annoy you instead of only one guy from Chicago's South Side. Microsoft couldn't have picked two better cities to race in, either, as San Francisco and London both have plenty of landmarks to crash into, and plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. Each map is well detailed and huge. The other great addition to MM2, however, is the Crash Course Career Mode, reminiscent of Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed's Factory Driver mode. This series of challenges teaches new players essentials of competitive play for both off- and online racing, and is key to helping you unlock those extra goodies. Challenging without being frustrating, and playable on a variety of modem connections (though you might be asking for too much if you're running at 28.8k speeds or lower), Midtown Madness 2 remembers why we like racing games: it's just plain fun. No matter which side of the street you like to drive on, there's something in Midtown Madness 2 for you.

Summary: One of my favorite games!
Review: This game is so much fun. It is not only fun, but sometimes very funny. Pedestrians jumping out of your way, other drivers shouting things like "Where did you learn how to drive?!" when you ram them. It has 5 single player games, Cruise, Blitz, Checkpoint, and Circuit and a new mode called Crash Course. In Multiplayer games there is no Crash Course, but there is Cops and Robbers. There are 60 races in all. 2 Cities: San Francisco and London. Let me tell you something, in August, I went to San Francisco, and it is not street for street, but almost the same and in this game it is VERY detailed. If you beat all the races, it is still fun playing cruise, or trying new things. Play it online and you can make friends, play Cops and Robbers, and have fun too. It has 20 cars, such as: City Bus, Audi TT, Ford Mustang GT, Cop car, Panoz GTR-1, LTV, and Ford F-350 to name a few. If you get sick of something, this game has many 3rd party cars, cities, mods, and other stuff you can download. Graphics don't look real on my computer but my computer is a laptop but better the PC, better the graphics and sound. However the cars are detailed very nicely. I heard a real Mustang GT and it sounded like in the game. There are many cars and paint jobs to unlock so this is a lot of fun. If this helped you, then say so below.

Review: Me and my friends love racing LAN games together and midtown madness 2 is perfect. Free roaming the city's playing in the cops and robbers mode is just so fun. And now one of the greatest LAN games and racecar games ever. We've come to midtown madness to from need for speed high-stakes, and we love it.

The game itself in non-LAN mode is fun to, but if you want a LAN racing game for you and your buddies. This is the one to beat.

Have some fun and get it done

Review: When first playing the well-known Midtown Madness, when the first driving/racing amusement game came about, I could drive in their city, Chicago, all the time, non stop, without many qualms.

I expected something way better in Midtown Madness 2. I don't know. I guess it was the sameness of the levels and options; it wasn't even, what should have been, a sequel.

The graphics, sound, and gameplay were the same. Nothing on this game to dwell much on, except for the levels--two new medium sized levels, San Francisco and London. But let me reassure you, the sound NEEDS to improve. Totally generic sounds, which aren't very realistic in city-life atmosphere, need to improve dramatically.

What really plummets Midtown Madness 2 is the lack of interest and captivation. Like I said, everything is the same.. Roads have the same textures, or the same ol' knock down the traffic light, get the limited amount--three cops to chase you, in which they aren't different, sadly.

Plus, speed isn't accurate. What I mean by that is is that you could be driving 90 m.p.h. and feel like you're really going 45 m.p.h. Having the lack of feeling the rush or intensifying speed really puts this game into a downfall.

Same textures, although a bit worse looking, same ideas, almost same everything, except for two new levels, which is something to be quite moody about. Other than that, if you're looking for fun in this game, it'll be there, but for a limited time only.
