Rating: Summary: Great Fun - Downloadable Cars Review: I love this game because of the freedom you have to just screw around. You can go into cruise mode and drive around the city and see what trouble you can get into. My nieces and nephews love it when I've got three or four cops on my tail; I turn a sharp corner and all of the cops fly into the bay. I also love the almost limitless downloads for this game. You can download different levels and hundreds of cars. The races are fun too. I suggest this game to anyone who doesn't like to be restricted to a racecourse.
Rating: Summary: Bullitt Re-Created!!! Review: We all have seen it. Steve McQueen barelling down the hills of San Fransisco in his '68 Mustang Fastback in the most memorable car chase scene ever, from the film Bullitt. The first time I installed the game, I had a mission: I wanted to race around the streets of Frisco like McQueen did. And I was overjoyed when the first car to come up was the '68 Fastback (in the same color, too!) that Steve McQueen thrilled us with. Anyway, for the most part, the graphics and particle effects are unparalled, but the traffic cars are horrible not only in graphical plain-ness, but intelligence. The gameplay is fairly simple, and you can even become a stunt driver on location in Frisco (just like Steve McQueen!) and re-live all those Bullitt chase scenes. Anyway, London is also very accurate, but riding the hills of Frisco is the most fun. And the minimal selection of 20 cars compensates... the game comes with a car designing program, and there are plenty of cars ready for download at angelstudios.com. Buckle up, racing fans (and Bullitt fans) because this game will definetely get popped into your CD-ROM drive constantly! ...
Rating: Summary: HAPPY HAPPY Review: i like the games of this sort. because the efforts of this sort are very helpful ammazing and funny all the way and we are not only playing or waisting time and money but we are learning lot of things due to this process. we learn passion determination and the lessons of patience.
Rating: Summary: Awsome with a few minor probs. Review: This game is great. Theres too many cars to unlock but I love the fact that you can download cars like Porsches, BMWS, Corvettes and all that stuff from the net. If you an oldies fan you can download oldies too. The gameplay is great which never slows down unless your in a multiplayer game. The graphics are ok but I recommend a patch which upgrades the graphics top-notch. The original gameplay is pretty good, not too realistic because you can make a moving van fly 14 feet in the air while going at speeds around 100mph. San Fransisco is probaly the better city because its packed with a bunch of objects to jump and smash on like a full enviorment of pedestrians and cars also police you can lower a traffic, pedestrian and cop meter so you can see more or less of them in the game. The online has loads to do like races and 'Cops & Robbers' where you can play as a cop or robber and go look for gold and return it too your secret hideout. The hideout changes every time some one catches the gold. The cars are great. Theres only 2 sports cars, the Audi TT and Aston Martin DB7 but remember: You can download even better cars from the internet. You can also download mini-cities which I have never tried. Over all this game is 2 thumbs UP!
Rating: Summary: Could have been MUCH better Review: This game is lousy, it has terrible graphics and even worse sound effects. At this point your thinking "if it's so bad why did you give it three stars?" well the fact of the matter is, it's fun to drive a semi truck trough rush hour traffic. Other than that though, this game has hardly anything going for it. Graphics: Like I said terrible, the cars are hardly textured at all and the traffic cars aren't. There are no shadows at all and the effects aren't very impressive either. Sound: Bad here to, the cars all sound similar and the music is horrific. Gameplay: The races are fun, and the cruise mode is the most enjoyable part of this game. There are also some training/career challenges which are just there to unlock paint jobs and new cars. Which reminds me no custom colors, each car comes with about four or five (some have more) and you can't select what type of cars you race against so only about four cars are even useful, the rest are more of a novelty thing. If you have the original don't get this one as it just ads two cities and the graphics are almost identical. Overall this could have been much better had Microsoft not squandered a great game with lousy graphics, sound, and gameplay.
Rating: Summary: not very impressed Review: There isn't really anything about this game thats any better than the first one. The biggest improvements are 2 new cities, another driving mode, and more cars. SanFrancisco has been the most fun for me but it gets boring to explore after a little while. London is pretty good but its hard to get around without knocking down half the city. The new driving mode, Stunt Driver, is actually a nice add on. You can drive the Mustang Fastback in a stuntmans role in sanfrancisco or in a cab as a london cabbie. The graphics are almost the same as the first game and the physics are 5 times worse (eg: you can sent a bus flying with a VW bug, kind of fun but looks really stupid after a while). There are too many cars you have to unlock; you start out with the ones from the 1st game and a couple (...) ones from #2. I actually like the first one better because you cant get from one side of chicago to the other as fast because for one, its impossible to maintain 120mph through the city streets in rushhour traffic, and two, there are more obstacles and routes you have to take. So, I have decided this is a waste of money and you will become bored fast. Go buy Grand Theft Auto 2 or 3 or Driver; both are much better games of the same type.
Rating: Summary: Innovative and never boring Review: Okay, I want to set this straight: this game is fun and never boring. The replayablilty value is very high, especially in cruise. This game is also incredibly detailed, which I like. There are a few minor problems with this game: First, the AI is not that good. Computer-controlled traffic cars do not stop in cruise mode unless you are exactly line up in the traffic lane. Most of the time, they act as if you weren't even there. This gets annoying sometimes. Second, bugs occasionally pop up in the form of graphic glitches and lockups. These are rare, but take away from some of the believebilaty of this game. Other than these minor problems, I think that this game is a good buy for anyone who enjoys to drive the way they can't in real life.
Rating: Summary: Training to be a London Cabbie...anyone....anyone? Review: This is one of the best games I have ever played, certainly at least for the computer. The crazy driving action, yet realistic movement and sound gives this game one of the most realistic driving experiences you'll ever experience. If you were able to get out of your car you could call this the literal game of "life".......just remember not to repeat the stunts, it's just a game ^_^
Rating: Summary: Midtown Madness 2 Review: This game is totally awesome dude. I think every dude should own it man. This is a sweet game man. You need to go buy it dude. Why our you reading this review dude you could be buying Midtown Madness 2!
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: I don't have the game, but I do have the trial version and I absolutely love it! It is next on my wishlist! It is a great sequel to the first game. Although the first game was more realistic, I enjoy the second a lot because it is just fun. I don't recommend this game for big racing fans because I really didn't like to play in the races. The cruise option is what really caught my attention. Its like real driving only with a lot of comic relief added in. If you want a real racing game, I recommend the Need For Speed series, but if you just want to settle down and have some fun, this game is perfect! Recommended for all ages.
