Rating: Summary: Grand Theft Auto 3... A MUSTown game! Review: After seeing this game on the PS2 and playing the series' first two games, I knew I had to buy this game! The scale of the city and the immersion level are so high that you are completely taken in by Liberty City while you run around town stealing cars and completing missions. This is a game that you will really appreciate, as long as you are not concerned about violence, language, or adult themed situations. Rockstar Games has put everything into this game and it really shines! Also, I must note that if you don't have a decent video card and overall system, either upgrade or forget about it... GTA3 is a very demanding game! It's worth the upgrade though, believe me!
Rating: Summary: NO MULTIPLAYER! Review: That's right people, no multiplayer, which makes me wonder why we waited so long to get it on PC. I'm sure the singleplayer is fine, but, frankly, I don't care. The multiplayer game in GTA2 was so great, and it looks as though GTA2 is still the best multiplayer carjacking killing-spree out there.
Rating: Summary: Instant Classic Review: Graphix - Better than PS2 on many settings.Controls - Decent though a bit cumbersome. There are quite a few ways to do the same thing in different locations on the keyboard. I still think the PS2 controller is more ergonomic. Gameplay - Nearly identical on all counts. You can steal cars, assult anyone, Run, Combat, or impersonate law enforcement. Complete missions, wander to your hearts content. Most usable skill is using the uzi while driving which took me quite a while to get used to using the keyboard. Getting started free armor is by the docks in portland harbor. There usually is a shotgun in the police car by the hospital. Easiest car to drive initially is the mafia sentinal. Good Luck have Fun.
Rating: Summary: An Instant Classic Review: Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PC is a nearly direct port of the PS2 vesion. This doesnt make it any worse of a game, but of course it doesn't make it any better. People who have bought into the hype of the TV commercials and rave reviews may be initially let down. Minor hardware problems may show up even if your system meets the requirments. However, as the amazing world that is Liberty City slowly shines through the fog, even the games strongest critics will be blown away. As the nameless main character you may complete up to 73 missions within 3 gigantic sections that could be games of their own. The freedom to do whatever you want while you're not trying to survive the increasingly difficult storyline is what really makes GTA3 great. No game to date has allowed players to cause this much mayhem. The sound is perfect. Its truly a pleasure to find a game with such fantastic voice acting. The graphics may leave some wanting more. The detail is amazing but the textures are sometimes blocky. The display settings are adjustable and some tweaking may be needed based on personal preference. Overall GTA3 is truly an instant classic. The replay value is tremendous and the game is well worth its price.

Rating: Summary: What more needs to be said Review: Great game, no probelms under windows 98, radeon 8500 and an amd xp 1800, got noticably slower in 1600x1200 though, and whats the deal with the mp3 player, i thought we would get to make radio stations not just one mp3 station that randomly plays mp3's you put in the folder

Rating: Summary: Buy the Playstation version!!!!! Review: Save your money and do not buy the pc version of this game. Sure GTA 3 is a great game and very fun to play, but only if you are playing it on the Playstation 2. The pc version does not run correctly. My computer surpasses the recommended requirements and the game ran slow and choppy. It ran this way even set on the lowest display settings. I was very disappointed. I was really looking forward to this game being released on pc since I do not on a PS2 and didn't want to spend 300 bucks on a console for one game. This game is still worthy of my 5 star rating, but buy the PS2 version.
Rating: Summary: It only works if...... Review: I preorder this game back in February and I waiting anxiously for it to come out. It finally came, and I fly down stairs and load it up. It doesn't work. I restart the computer, It still won't work. Finally one a maricle it works, but it is slooooow. Unless you have all the system requirements, don't even bother with this game. Either find some new game to play or get a new computer.
Rating: Summary: most fun you'll ever have with a game Review: Ok.. i won't talk about the game.. i'll talk about the problems that many people are having with it. It turns out that most people are having issues with extremely choppy gameplay.. the sound and video stutters almost constantly. I've got the resolution pushed down to the bare minimum, and it's playable.. but it looks bad, and it still could be smoother. I trust Rockstar Games will release a patch very soon, because the online forums are literally flooded with people having this same problem. I can wait.. and it's still fun, regardless of how the graphics look pushed down so much. So, my advice.. buy it before it's banned, and be patient for the patch.
