Summary: Max Payne is the BEST game out!
Review: At first, i could not play this game because i did not have a graphics card that was good enough. Well, now i can play it and i cannot stop. This game has AMAZING graphics and bullet time is one of the coolest features i have ever seen in a game. The game is a little bit on the short side but in that time that you play it, you will not be able to stop. I like the game except for the shortness, and i also do not like the mazes at the end of each part. Overall, this is one of the best games out!!!!! Highly recommended!!!!

Summary: very fun
Review: though it can be a bit easy at times, and when it's over, it's over, so many things make this the dominant game of the season.

undoubtabley though, the best part of this game is bullet time: if you haven't heard of it already, it essentially allows you to slow the game down for a limited period of time, during which everything is slow except your aim, which means you can have an incredible advantage over enemies when you need to.

also, shot dodging, which uses a simplified mode of bullet time to slow you down as you jump forwards, backwards, or side to side, and can still shoot at enemies, is very useful as well.

Summary: Max Payne will change how you see gaming!!
Review: Max Payne is a game that can only reshape the genre, very much as Half Life did. Besides the obvious use of eye popping graphics and visceral and highly stylizied Hong Kong Movie style gunplay a la aptly named bullet time, this is a very engrossing game. The story moves along at a very crisp pace, giving you the feeling that the net is closing in on you as both the cops and the villains want you dead. The game also employs a nice touch, that it borrowed from Grim Fandango, where your head turns to look at items of interest. I cannot put this game down!! It will surprise you. I recommend that you try the demo, at least. You will need a hefty PC and 3d card to run this game well.

Summary: Wow!!
Review: This game is amazing. It grabs you from the beginning, and doesn't let you go. The ONLY complaint that can be brought against it is that it is too short. But however long it does last is crammed full with amazing gameplay, great graphics, and heart-stopping action. And bullet time is DEFINITELY one of the greatest features ever incorporated into a game.

Summary: A Revolutionary Game
Review: Well it is about time someone made a game that followed in the footsteps of the Matrix. The Matrix has revolutionised american action movies, and this game is going to do the same for video games.
Obviously someone who has the ability to see things in slow motion and do things in slow motion when actually doing things slighly faster than normal, has a great advantage over his opponents. Max Payne, a fugitive cop with a veangence, has this ability.
What makes this game so great is that the makers made the transition that Max makes from real time to bullet time simple and smooth. When in a gunfight max can change to bullet time (slow motion) with the push of a button, thus being able to anticipate the moves of his opponents (but not so much as to make the game easy). As you see your enemies gun fire you can quickly dive in different directions (in slow motion) that will doge bullets if timed correctly. When you do this you will see little gold bullets whizzing just over your body if you did it right, then you have time to shoot your opponent while in mid-air, watching gold bullets, this time, whizzing towards him.
The act of dodging bullets in Max Payne is very satisfying and exciting. This innovative game play, combined with an excelent and surprisingly deep sotry to go along with it, is a must. Everyone needs to experience the game that is going to make a change in the video game world.
This is a fun game to play with your friends because I often find myself saying to my friend, "DID YOU SEE THAT BULLET", or "DID YOU SEE THAT MOVE".The only regret that i feel when playing this game is not having a instant replay button.

Summary: THE PERFECT GAME!
Review: I gotta say. I didn't think too much of it when I looked at the back of the box in the store. I bought it, and took it home. I was blown away! This game is non stop fun. It doesn't get frusterating like a lot of other games i've played. The difficulty is up there but it isn't bad at all. There's nothing like using the bullet time feature to do some cool stunts to kill your enemies. I highly recommend this game. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!

Summary: This Game is awesome/fun and Addictive.
Review: Before I actually bought this game, I thought it was going to be another duke nukem, quake kind of game, but I have to admit I was wrong and blown away with the amazing features of Bullet Time. and Matrix-Like Effects. I didn't have enough Ram and a good enough Graphics card, But I upgraded within about 1 hour with 191 total ram and a Geoforce graphics card, and it plays well with a 600 MHZ computer to play Max Payne. When I first Started the Game it seemed too easy for me. I got too Part 1 Chapter 9. in about 3 hours. and now It's a challenge for me. Not only is this totally fun and Addictive. But Iv been playing it about 5-6 hours a day. I would Suggest that only those who like violent games buy it. It does have some content that is not suitable for kids(Adult Language, Content) There is a reason why this game is supposed to be the game of the year!- BUY it you will like it. The only negative thing I have is sometimes when you shoot at a guy, it doesn't shoot. so sometimes you have to shoot 2 times to shoot. Oh well, Time for me to play Max Payne!

CYA.

Summary: First person shooter with a eerie twist, Max Payne
Review: When my step-brother first bought Max Payne I thought it was going to be your typical shoot-em up first person shooter. I was astonished to learn that the levels and effects of this game are much more complex than that. What sets this game apart from others is that while you are in the midst of a shoot out you can switch to a Matrix like slow motion in which you have more reaction time to the situation at hand. Your character, Max Payne has the ability to jump to his sides as well as forward and backward while shooting which makes the game much more intense.
The sountrack and style in which this game is presented is very intresting. The game is set around a very dismal and bleak world in which you are running from the law for a crime that you did not commit. Eerie screams and blood-curtling cries send chivers down your back a few times throughout the game. The whole story in this game revolves around the idea of your character being in a comic book world. After each mission you are given a glimpse of a bit from a comic book. Very innovating and intresting how they put this game together.
If you want a fast paced in your face action game, get Max Payne. The violence is a little on the high side but it is nothing to write home about. This first person shooter sets itself and in my prediction will start a whole new style of games yet to come.

Summary: (Cheat codes in this review)
Review: Max Payne plays out as a modern Raymond Chandler/ Dashiell Hammet detective novel, complete with the classic moment about midway through where the hero fights off hallucinations while trying to overcome a drug overdose. In the game this happens to our hero twice, but it works quite well as a change of pace from what is otherwise a bloodbath. The dialogue and storyline in Max Payne is a bit overdone, even by pulp fiction standards. Perhaps the development team spent a little too much time watching professional wrestling when they weren't working on the game. Nonetheless, with some effort, it is still possible to suspend disbelief and get caught up in the Max Payne story. The game's greatest feature is Bullet Time. Click the right mouse button and you are Neo in The Matrix. Time comes to a roaring halt and, yes, you can dodge bullets. You can even watch them as they fly by. Bullet Time is very fun and it's the first genuinely new innovation in the first person shooter genre in awhile. Frankly, I hope other games copy it. The graphics in Max Payne are well done, although somewhat blocky due to the limitations of the game engine. Audio and music are professional and most importantly, not annoying. Control is solid and customizable. The only real weakness is the lack of multiplayer. If you are in the mood for a good single player adventure, Max Payne is for you.

P.S.: If you really want to have fun with the game, in WindowsXP (variations will work on any OS), from the C:\> Command Prompt, type: "C:\Program Files\Max Payne\maxpayne.exe -developer". Once you have started a new game or loaded a saved one, hit the F12 key and type any of the following cheats: "God", "GetAllWeapons", "GetInfiniteAmmo", "GetHealth" and best of all, "GetbulletTime" - hit F12 again twice to return to the game.

Summary: This game is so awesome!
Review: Max Payne is a masterpiece of ingenuity, with a bit of excellent illiteration throwing in for good measure. On top of all that it's one bloody massicre after another. The story itself makes the game worth buying, add in an awesome main character, then exciting combat and a good arsinal of weapons, and you have a winner. I totally love this game. Then you also have the dozens of MODS being produced every day including a first person mod, and the decision to buy this game gets even easier. The best game I've played in a long time. Don't hesitate. If your computer can handle it, get it. Unless you frown upon violence... Then don't. :)
